    I want to ask a question if that is ok.. are all meats you use are fresh? Like you get it from the butcher and make the recipe and then freeze immediately? Or is it ok to use frozen meats?
    Thank you

    sorry if you guys answered this before but when after they arrived at your home did you start changing their food? mine have been here for a week and I put a tea spoon of the new food in they old food and both have some digestive issues. It might be the big change of moving but I just wanted to know what you guys did :)

    🐔🐔🐔can you feed these raw recipes to my 6month ragdoll kittens? And do you need to introduce it slowly over time? My kittens have always eaten Highlife wet food with Lily’s Kitchen dry but they don’t consistently eat their wet xx

    • @kindredcats2847
      @kindredcats2847 Před 3 lety

      See @Pixie and Bluebell's reply to Lois Luisa to use 42g bone meal instead of 33g for this particular one. For kittens you want to have a higher bone content as they're still growing.

    Do you have to have chicken hearts in every recipe or can you supplement it with another ingredient. I have a hard time finding it where I live. Love your your kitty videos. I will be getting two ragdoll kittens due anytime this month and should be able to take home in June. So excited. I am feeding my cat that I have now the raw diet and hoping I'm doing everything correct. I find your videos very helpful. Thank You!!

    • @PixieandBluebell
      @PixieandBluebell  Před 3 lety

      Hey, thank you! No, you don’t have to use chicken hearts, we made a video with pork and beef for example. Chicken hearts are just a great source of taurine, but so is pork loin and chicken thighs are good too. There’s a link in description where you can take a look at the tables of taurine content in different meats and just choose one of the meats with high taurine content that is accessible to you 🥰

    Your videos have been very helpful! I’m getting a Siberian kitten soon! I would have loved a Ragdoll, but were hoping the Siberian will be better for my husbands allergies 🤞🏻
    Quick question about the eggs. I’ve read the egg whites can block the absorption of biotin in cats. Have you heard anything about that? Thank you :-)

    • @majidaaddas3341

      You don’t need to use chicken, you can use quail, duck, beef, lamb, rabbit, pheasant, pork, Turkey etc.

    • @cyriael4665
      @cyriael4665 Před 3 lety

      For kittens, you tend to want to up the bone content. 15% instead of 10% (not sure what that works out to using bone meal, sorry! I'm sure the other video they mentioned gets into that :) )

    • @PixieandBluebell
      @PixieandBluebell  Před 3 lety +2

      That’s correct 💗 you can use this recipe but add 42g bone meal instead of 33g that we used. Again, best to try and give them real bone and see how they get on, for example chicken wing cut in three pieces as a snack and supervise 🥰 some cats really are taking into raw and bone very easily!

    • @loisluisa6458
      @loisluisa6458 Před 3 lety

      Thanks so much for the advise. 😊

    • @Linalak
      @Linalak Před 3 lety +2

      @@cyriael4665 @pixieandbluebell that is completely incorrect. Adult cats should eat about 6-7% of bone content and kittens no more than 10%. Ratio diets are dangerous. Please get a feline nutritionist to custom make you a recipe. Kittens have specific requirements to support the development of nervous system and eyes ❤️.

    • @janasrnkova653

    • @PixieandBluebell
      @PixieandBluebell  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes, we put a tea towel on top when it’s hot, and put on a child lock whenever not in use, so they cats turn it on with their paws 🥰
