What exactly happened to Bihar?
History tells us that Bihar once was a prosperous region. The city of Patna was the capital of powerful Magadha Kingdom. Bihar gave India many great men including Gautam Buddha, Mahavir Jain, our first President Dr. Rajendra Prasad and many more
Nalanda - once the world's education center was also in Bihar.
But over a period of time things changed and the dark world of politics, poverty and crime took control of Bihar. Bihar now is on its way to become the second most populous state by 2041, with currently its population being equal to 180 countries.
The video specifically covers how lack of education, good administration stopped Bihar from becoming a prosperous state.
Finally the video covers some solutions that can change Bihar into the Bihar of which we have been proud of. Because solving Bihar's problems is as important as solving India's problems!

Being a bihari who's born and brought up outside of Bihar, I've been living in Bihar since last 4 years now. And I can definitely say that people of Bihar themselves are the major reason behind our economy screwing up.
1. Youth spend their precious age by preparing for so "government exams" just because that'll give them "power". They use this power to harass other people, may it be their relative or their neighbours. One who's in the power status is "unstoppable" and can do whatever they desire.
2. One who are diligent enough to work for their society aren't let to do so by other goons and their own society / family members.
3. People here are madly fighting with each other for land. There's no proper system for conflict resolution. Even if they fight amongst each other for land disputes, local panchayat or even block office doesn't intervene but rather issue is sent to local police who drops the matter by "under the table" methods. Hence, the root of dispute stays and so is future chances of conflicts.
4. Infra development here is shit. Eg. Authorities develop roads and they do it without any drainage systems. Hence when new roads are made, water flows into the houses near the roads and later people level-up their compound's height by putting extra soil. In turn water inflow going towards the roads once again. Hence, this is a never ending vicious circle. And NO one cares, even if you raise this issue.
5. Liquor is banned here in Bihar. Not for wellbeing for Bihari people but for the pockets of politicians. You can still get liquors of any brands you want, anytime you want. Its just the whole supply chain by the help of politicians only. Government loses out of liquor tax, while money is diverted into corrupt politicians' pocket.
In short, a place is represented by the people residing there. AND people in bihar themselves are fu**ed up.

Bro I am also from Bihar. Once my sis met a girl on train(also from Bihar), she told my sis that she cleared BPSC, her interview went well but she didn't qualify. Somehow later she got to know that you have to pay some under the table fees to interviewers around 15-25 lakhs😢. I was surprised to see that such things are happening in these highly respected exams.
My uncle told me the story of a School
The fund was coming from head office for the development of schools but the teachers used to divide it share among everyone and made their homes, bought vehicles and when asked something about the development they used to show the bills of transaction and things that never really happened.
And lastly the MLA of my legislature is very very very corrupt like any other politician, everyone knows that he has done a bare minimum corruption of 50-60 crores but still no one is going to take action.
Police is ready to arrest the man who has small little crimes and theft, which ofc they should. But they don't work on these big scandals. Rather so much intelligent civil servants and officers who were supposed to be serving the people are working with these m0th*rf*ckers.😡🤬🤬.
And the media, m0th*rf*cking media, never points out the mistakes, never tells the solution, praise some useless leaders on their baseless statements.
I am really angry on the politics of Bihar. It has destroyed my state.

But i am from bihar recently i went back my hometown and it made me so sad to see that youth of rural areas has no idea about the latest trends which are changing the world. Biggest problem with Bihar is that we Biharis do lack in sub-nationalism. We have lost our mother toungue our language when Hindi was imposed on us.
States like Gujarat, Punjab, Maharashtra, Bengal, etc have their own language, culture, etc people have strong sub-nationalism towards their state. No matter PM Modi is a good PM but still he is more inclined towards his state Gujarat. But Biharis lack in that terms.
When Jharkhand was carved out of Bihar (50% land of Bihar was given) though in North Jharkhand Adivasis population is very less but still these all areas was given to Jharkhand. It was just a slap on the people of Bihar removing the resourcefull area from one state and give it to another state.
I hope in coming years youth people of Bihar will unite and will work for the betterment of their state.

"Ek bihari 100 pe bhari" Har baat pe yahi jawab aa jata hai aur sab khush ho jaate hain, to be proud of your history is good but what about the present, har baat pe jawab aa jaata hai k gautam buddh yaha se the, and also the situations of the sanctuaries you mentioned are far worse , I Live 20 kms away from bhimbandh but I don't think I'll go there ever again.

I worked in NCR for almost 10 years and in covid i got an opportunity to return back to Bihar and do something, started a small venture and pushing to keep it alive, faced hurdles at multiple levels, govt approvals, sarkari babu ke demands, norms and what not. Multiple time i was loosing my hope but the zeal of doing something for my motherland was pushing me. But, I want to add my observation as a local resident of Bihar.
1. Liquor Ban : According to my observation, there is a big decrease in house level kalesh and woman assault in houses. I saw those people who used to spend almost all of their income in liquor, now they are spending their income in business and family development.
2. Government fund : Yes, you are right, every year government failed to deploy Central Government's fund in Bihar and this is due to lack of vision in politicians. In past time, our district's local news run a campaign to serve people's vision where MP can use those money and due to peoples pressure on Social Media. MP spend those money in development rather than returning back to central government after the time completed.
3. Government Jobs Trap: Youths in Bihar is in a big trap of government job. They lost their most of Young age time in preparation for Govt. Jobs but, the number of seats are limited. So, Career councelling and guidance is a big necessity in Bihar.
Also, we need peoples who can provide fund to Bihar based startup. In recent years Mithila Angels started this but we need more.

I am a Bihari. I have lived in almost all corners of Bihar. Paschim Champarn to Jamui, Purnia to Jainagar, Chhapra to Munger, Sitamadhi to Muzaffarpur I have seen all cultures of my state. The points I am going to write are going to be controversial but on the point.
1) No Option to vote (due to dirty politics). Whichever party you vote CM will be Shushashan Babu.
2) No Option for jobs. Where ever you might be in the state there in no Local option to work.
3) No Option for education after +2. Which ever stream you might be choosing after 12th either you have to leave the state or leave good degrees and start earning.
4) No Option for Startup. Sounded immature right? Come to Bihar and know.
5) No Powers in the hand of Police. It is personal but Common people know this.
6) No improvement in government bodies like Education, infrastructure, Skill development
7) No option literally no option if you are Genral. The point is personal and real But politics is the answer. Make me explain-
If you are Brhamin and you are not self employed you will regret till your death. Because even if reservation will transform your neighborhood from Hut to Bungalow. Even if you are topper of your class, even if you have studied and got degrees, even if you have your ancestors left a lot of land for you, you just because you are Born in General Cast you will not get opportunities.
I agree and co-relate with each and every points of you and they are totally correct and make sense.

If only us general people(our ancestors) wouldn't have divided people on the basis of caste maybe this caste system wouldn't have existed 🥲. If only our ancestors wouldn't have treated them as untouchables and prohibited them for entering into good business back then we wouldn't have been prohibited now. That's what happened right we prohibited them back in the days and now we are prohibited it's our karma. I hope it ends soon cause we general people are suffering 😢.
Oh yahh, if that would have been the case then Muslims would have been discriminated insted of Brahmins. Muslims would have got no religious reservation. Why people keep forgetting that the time when thousands of Brahmins were killed just to remove their Janev and eat beef is much sooner than the descrimination against Dalit used to happened. Did we played Victim card? NO. My muslim friends keep admitting that Brhamins have always been more discriminated in our country than lower cast muslim. I don't think that I need to explain the laws against discrimination in our country.

As a bihari... Thanks a lot abhi and niyu for addressing our state issues.. no-one talks about solution. They just talks about problems... But thankfully someone is talking about it. By buying local things by going to local places we are trying to improve the conditions.. but without good governance and their positive intent.. bihar is not going to develop
Thank you Abhi and Niyu for this video. I am a Bihari, and I have been very concerned on this subject for a long time. I moved out of bihar for my higher education. I was proud of being a Bihari because of the rich culture but used to be ashamed of being a Bihari because of the situation now and because of a bunch of misbehaved people. However, I am no longer ashamed of being a bihar, because its the politician who lead this place to the current status.All Biharis I met so far, were brilliant and its time that we all take initiatives to bring it forward. I agree with your recommended solutions. The execution can be boggling, but I will definitely try to take it forward as much I can.

Being a native of bihar (near Madhubani , famous due to his Mithila painting) as in this video you already seen lots of positive facts and negative facts about Bihar but Bihar has a lot of potential to do from •tourism , •educational history, • History and more . Many people also says , "Arey ye to bihari hai" mean lot of people think that he/she can't do anything from his/her background but that not the reason my friend .
