If i remember right the thing about Sebastian looking kind of similar to Ciel's father is something Yana (author) already spoke about
The explanation is actually outside the world of Black Butler, she (at that time) just didn't know how to draw handsome men without giving them similar faces, even said she was afraid that people would get them mixed because of that.
