That was a good set up as I also give thanks to the doctor who gave her a boost of encouragement to stand strong .
So we don't see any consequences laid down on those that turned their backs on Mary? No divorce on her gold digger husband? No demotions or firing for the employees that tries to steal her own company from under her feet? Seriously, this story just seems unfinished without seeing how those shallow people get their just desserts...

Hmmm... In my ending she takes her loving daughter into another room, then comes back with a couple of Kalashnikovs and goes all Lee Harvey Oswald on those who wronged her. Then she takes her daughter and her money and goes someplace tropical, someplace with palm trees where they can hide, someplace with no extradition agreement with her country.
Mary's doctor was loyal to her and helped fake her injuries to test Jack and the others. With the exception of him and their daughter, Angel, they all failed.
Here's my part 2.
Mary divorces Jack and destroys him in the lawsuit with the help of her lawyer. He is forced to move out of her home being penniless and broke. He tries to go back to his lover, Carol, but she kicks him to the curb. She tells Jack off that they can't be together now that he has no money and thinks he may try the same thing to her like he did to his ex-wife, Mary. He is left out on the streets where everyone that he once ridiculed are now the ones who are dealing the humiliation to him. This lead to Jack finally regretting his past behavior too late and now he's alone and broke.
At the company she owns, Mary fires the people involved with Jack's scheme to take her money. The manager, Stan, begs her to let him keep his job. He claimed Jack set him up to with false promises to be a co-CEO of the company when he is able to have Mary removed. She doesn't believe him and shows the tape recording she got from her loyal security guard of what went on between him and Jack. Realizing he's caught, Stan tries to apologize to Mary, but she orders him to leave before she calls the cops on him. Many tried to find other jobs in different companies, but because of their terrible reputations and how they treated their boss, no onw wanted to hire those people. Mary hires new people who are more trustworthy and loyal to her company. Her new manager is a better motivator to her employees. During a business meeting, Mary meets her future business partner, Adrian, who is a good person. They become close and he loves Angel as his own. Mary remarries to Adrian and he is a more loyal partner to her than Jack was to her.
5 years later, Mary's parents beg for her help, but she refuses. They were only supportive of her before her accident and when she had her "scars", they willfully abandoned her for her sister, Frances. Now her parents are back in her life because she abandoned them at the first sign of trouble. Mary orders them to leave and never come back in her life again. Her parents sadly leave upon realizing how terrible they were to her throughout her hardships.
The husband already filed for divorce. So she can just sign it and give him nothing. And she can fire the people who betrayed her at the company
Just goes to show when you're hurt or in trouble you see people's true colors

At the begining of the story I do feel sorry for poor Mary after she has lost her face in the car accident and everyone turn their back on her especially Mary's husband Jack, I can't believe he would want to divorce his own wife all because he doesn't want to be someone who has lost her beauty. But I'm glad that Mary never really have lost her face in the first place since she only set things up to find out if someone do care and love her whether she's beautiful or not which is her own daughter Lizzy.
I wished AniMatter would add extra to the end of the story like Jack begged his wife to forgive him in hoping that she'll take him back now that he knows that she never have lost her face in the first place. But I bet Mary will refuse and tell him that he never really love her for the person she is on the inside as he only love her beauty and money which I expect that she's file divorce permiately as well as fire people at her company for how they have treated her while she was faking losing her face.

When someone is in trouble is when a person shows their true colors. She sure taught everyone a lesson. Wait a second. She said she staged the whole thing. She staged the accident? So wouldn't she get arrested for that?

She didn't stage her accident and it was real. Mary's doctor helped fake her injuries by putting up scars on her face to test her family, friends and employees to see if they were still loyal to her. With the exception of the doctor and her daughter, Angel, everyone else failed the test. Her husband, Stan, her parents, friends and employees showed their true colors in abandoning her.
Stan lost everything in the divorce proceedings. His parental rights were terminated, he was found out to have been cheating on Mary with different women(her lawyer and doctor were able to provide evidence of that), and stealing her profits. The judge awarded full custody of Angel to her and ordered Stan to move out of her home.
Toxic husband, toxic friends and toxic workers are disgrace and fools, but daughter and doctor understood. Daughter still care and love to mother. No matter mother's face is damage, daughter still love mother more than her looks.

What is more if it really was an elaborate setup then she is very CLEVER and would probably have recorded her husband blackmailing her over custody of the daughter meaning the court would probably grant it to her.
The accident was real, but she faked her face injuries to uncover the truth🙂

Her company employees disgraced her big time! This is the final straw! If anyone destroys her company must suffer horrible consequences!
Her secretary is fired, she got her company back after she is fired by her secretary for calling her ugly. She filed a restraining order against her husband and took her daughter's custody over to her and then she remarried to her Doctor. Her entire life is now alright and all of the people who turn on her are ashamed for being such gold diggers and fake
