He seems like a great dude... why are elections seen as battles? We are all part of the same country, picking a qualifyed candidate... it should be a very mondane task... people treat every election like its a revolt into communism or fascism, and its tireing... we are all western liberals in a democracy, most people in our country want more freedom, the argument is social freedom or economic freedom
populists do that. Like Donald Trump.. do you remember? .-) Inteligent people who fight for values (not money) do not take elections as a fight because - as you say - they let people tell. Populists need them to believe what they say and use any tools for that. Manipulators. Fortunately they are not winning long term - just short term :-)
Well, elections wouldn't be seen as battles without lying populists... Populism is on the rise tho, ever since Trump politicians all over Europe realized ''omg, at least half the people are so stupid I can say them literally anything and they will believe me as long as the lie will seem threatening enough for them''

I am Czech a have to disagree, in fact she is very smart and empathetic!
She's an inspiration to a lot of women in Czechia. She is a lieutenant-colonel in the army reserves, a cancer survivor, a local politician in her home municipality and a better shot with a handgun than her husband.
She's rather introverted, but clearly smart, witty and incredibly compassionate, while taking no BS from anybody. Her husband said she is the one who keeps him humble and prevents him from getting drunk on power, because she has absolutely no qualms about telling him that he's being an idiot.

V jedné vesnici v okolí měl generál přes 70%, to je divné až zarážející....ale je to tak, i větší vesnice kde byl donedávna komunistický dobrý starosta měla přes 70%.....

@@Jana-hs2tp Mladý? Já jsem sice důchodce, ale beru vaši poznámku jako kompliment. AB je přímo prototyp člověka který se uměl pěkně ohánět za starého režimu. Všechny ty móresy mu zůstaly s k tomu si ještě dokázal nějak přijít k majetku. Já když ho vidím a slyším tak se mi okamžitě vybaví ten StBák s kterým jsem (bohudíky jen jednou) měl tu čest.

By all accounts supported the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia and was a member of the communist party up until 1989. Ends up being a NATO general. Quite clearly believes in nothing other than his career
He never supported the Soviet invasion. He was like seven yo when that happened. Why do you lie?
how could he support the soviet invasion? Did your precious Babiš tell you that? Pavel did join the communist party, as many young people did at that time, because it was the only option for their careers and they were manipulated by the propaganda. He only stayed in the communist party for 3 years, Andrej Babiš stayed for 9 years, he also lied about his role, boasted about being "the good communist", and joined the party when he was older than Pavel, who was young and naive.
And also he was admited into the communist party in 1985... so only 4 years. His oponent Babiš was in it longer and he even was STB agent (somewhat of a Czech communist CIA)
He did write in his biography in the 80s that his father explained to him as a child that their "visiting Soviet friends" were not a threat. HOWEVER, the friends he was refering to were two (I believe) russian men in particular who were family friends of the Pavels, were currently visiting, and were firmly against the invasion. The media took his statement out of context and made it look like the Soviet friends he was refering to were the Warsaw Pact armies.
