Well that was no explanation at all.
It did not do a "loop". Why do news people bother to report on aviation events?
Thank you!
With FAA’s history of putting corporate needs over consumers… why does the media continue to brand them like our heroes 🤦🏽♂️
It was the FAA ATC Low Altitude Alert that may have saved their butt from descending any further.
2 things wrong here with this report IMO: it didn’t “drop”, it flew low…. 2nd, that “loop” was not a spiral, it was a hold to get resequenced for another attempt to land. These words being thrown around like that is little misleading I think.
Oh. Yeah they made it sound like it was a barrel roll. Lol
Big deal. These Southwest pilots were 125 feet higher than the Southwest pilots that were heading rapidly down before regaining control only 400 feet above the ocean in April. But somehow, Southwest managed to hide the April event as good loyal company people were expected to do.
"Get your butts above the hard deck and return to base immediately."
i want some butts!
I really don’t know what’s Boeing on. Glad everyone is safe.
BREAKING News ...Women on Boeing dropped her cell phone in the toilet and blamed the Boeing 737.
..
Anyone else notice how they've stopped saying what kind of plane it is? or asking questions of the company that made it? (boeing?)
Southwest flies exclusively Boeing 737s
Dropping 500 feet above the ground? Here again the media inserting unnecessary words for a dramatic response. What should have been said is the aircraft flew as low as 500 feet above the ground.
Well, the "dropping" is important to convey a rapid descent, if that were the case.
@@JimBob1937 There wasn't a rapid descent.
I was thinking the same… it didn’t drop for sure… it was a low altitude alert. My guess is that the altimeter was not properly adjusted. But ya, they made it seem like it was falling from the sky smh.
@@paulapril , yeah, I wasn't sure from the story, hence the 'were the case.' If not, then I agree, a bit excessive in the wording.
Now southwest goofing like Ryan air

Damn right above the high school in yukon around midnight. I used to live near there i wonder what that sounded like
“…625 ft over a high school…” Was there a high school football game that night? Did the pilot get confused with the stadium lights and assume the bright lights were the airport?
I demand! To know the names of the pilot and copilot manning this flight!
Must be a slow news day.
Uhhhh, should I be flying to Vegas on July 4th weekend? 😅

Lol inside edition buying comments now
Scary stuff! Maybe pilot error could’ve played a role in this 😬
Air pocket? Down draft? Pilot error? Boeing plane?
@@user-zn5qg4se6q Just speculating since the flight tracker shows the plane was descending and leveled off roughly at 500 feet, then dropped to around 400 feet, likely triggering a low altitude warning to ATC. Pilot error should definitely be considered first. Personally I find it odd that these incidents are happening frequently with Southwest and it probably might be time to investigate the management/operations at Southwest.
😮@@user-zn5qg4se6qWhat is an air pocket, by the way? There is no such thing, for info.
Planes do have to decend for landing approach.
My hand luggage is going to be a parachute from now
No more SWA for me!
You mean no more Boeing! That's all SWA flys
But you get free check bag? 🤷🏻♂️
And that’s the response the media is looking for lol

He wanted to see if his wife was cheating on him
Southwest again!? wait until the private equity cut more costs out of the airline... then we'll see something fatal
Southwest Airline; “Safety is top priority, but not the number one priority!
I will never fly southwest or on a 737 max and you shouldn't either unless you are willing to risk your life!
I am the pilot of that southwest flight and I do what I want 🤬
pilot...any landing that you can walk away from is a good landing...everyone walked away..
The pilot is blaming his wife.
That’s scarey
Is this a Boeing flight?
yep
Yes
What kinda building was it John? Well Tom is was a very big building. Some say it looked like a building. I spoke with the white house earlier and they said it was, quote....a very big building. Back to you Tom!
Close Airbus and Boeing !
Another drop? Air pocket?? Bad weather? Bad boeing? 💩💩

Bad Boeing.

Plot twist theyr investigating a rollercoaster 😂
Was it Boeing again, alarming cover up they stop mentioning the manufacturer now. Who owns the news outlet company and what other commercial and political interests might be at play if this is indeed a change in policy.
This has absolutely nothing to do with the aircraft manufacturer. Nothing.
Then why stop mentioning it as I know many boeing has many support commenters on CZcams and they all stated the News is only mentioning Boeing all the time for clickbait and propaganda but now suddenly they stopped mentioning it 🤔
@@phlphlyer8143 That is based on absolutely no information.

SHUT BOEING DOWN. How the hell has the government still allow these planes to operate ! A gross display of Profit over People
Shut down a company who made the most iconic aircraft in history? Nahhhh…
Dammit Boeing!
Wtf does this have to do with the manufacturer?
@@phlphlyer8143 SW is ALL Boeing.
@@LenaMellow I’m quite aware given the fact that I’ve been an airline pilot for many years. Again, this incident has absolutely nothing to do with the manufacturer whatsoever. This is entirely a pilot training/experience issue.
I agree
And yet southwest still uses Boeing aircraft
You act like they have many selections. There are only 2 airplanes manufacturer boeing or airbus. Just because the 737 is bad, are you expecting them abandoned boeing all together? Boeing bring trillions dollars to the economy, if Americans airline don’t use American manufacturer then how can we convince other countries buy boeing . Boeing need to fix the 737 but doesn’t mean they don’t have any other good models. You have a very narrow mind with very little knowledge about macroeconomic
Looks to be the same scenario as Hawaii incident even though both model aircrafts were different. This could be a pilot issue.
@@hp4415 what about luftansa? thats another manufacturer
@@bagamnan9170 huh? That sounds like an airline, not manufacturer. There are a lot of companies that might make some airplanes part but only 2 main players that can supply commercial aircraft. You should do some research
