    Great information from @reloadingallday as usual, the methods he’s teaching using GRT have made load development a much more consistent, repeatable, and reliable process.

    Agreed. I have found significant differences between 3 different powders with very similar burn rates.(H4350,IMR4350, IMR4451) Thanks for the tip on Gordons. I will download and dive in.

    I keep i simple. I want COMPLETE CASE FILL. I pick the powder that is fast enough to reach my velocity requirement, but slow enough to have complete case fill to get there. I have never not gotten small extreme spreads and low SD's. For what its worth, I have been shooting the same load for 15 years and it hammers no matter which rifle I'm shooting.

      I have killed deer, Dall sheep, pigs, and the x-ring all with this one load.

    Great video. What does the calibration mean for each powder?

    I'd love to connect and learn how to better utilize GRT. I have 7PRC and the data is limited.

    I have Quickload and have used it for years. Am I better off switching to Gordon’s?

    Is GRT useful also for instruction about 22LR? I can’t find any table or information about 22LR powder (different guns and barrel lenght)

    I agree that you need to use a load development program in this day and age. If you think that the load you're interested in is compatible to the near burn rate comparison.....think again. You need to start your load at close to minimum load. This is your safety buffer. Work your load accordingly to the pressure signs that you are getting on the current load. Document all of your load data. This will keep you honest and safe. The end result will get you closer to the most efficient load possible.

    Does Gordons and Quickload give conflicting data/results?

  • @Rico11b
    @Rico11b Před 9 měsíci

    When looking at Gordon's the velocities are way off when comparing different loads. For example. My 22GT, Gordon's shows 36.4 grains at 3140, but in my rifle it's 3080. I'd expect the FPS reading to be much closer than that. It puts me in a position of not being able to trust what Gordon's is showing.

      Highly recommend taking a course with us or learning how to use GRT. There’s a reason why your velocities are off.
