Hi David, this is a great video and I was successfully able to switch to an aftermarket unit based, especially as there are no other youtube clips at all !!!
I do have some comments though, which I'd like to share:-
    1. The Heater control was too difficult to pull off by hand, so I prised it off carefully with a flat head screwdriver
    2. The 4 Torx screws are removed with a T20 screwdriver
    3. The stereo removal pins will only be able to be taken out of the stereo, if you press down on the metal strips on the sides of the stereo and then pull (this took me a while)
    4. The Piggy back fuse, is a pain ! - Firstly, you need to put both fuses in for it to work. One fuse is the original and the other is for the new red wire (I just put the original fuse in and couldn't understand why the lead wasn't working)
    5. I did not have the same number of fuses as you, in my fuse box (as I have a 2013 Move UP!) so could not copy you exactly. I ended up using fuse 6 which controls the headlight adjustment.
    6. The fuse box is on the right of the accelerator peddle, very, very low down.
    7. The fuse layouts are not in the manual nor on the plastic fuse cover (well done VW) but can be found here www.upownersclub.co.uk/forum/uploads/5112/fuse_box.jpg
    8. Above the foot peddles, there is a metal bar, I taped the switch wired to that to stop it ever hanging down
I hope this is helpful :-)
Lastly, when I use fuse 6, the stereo goes off as soon as I switch off the ignition. However, normally, I have to take my key out before that happens (in most other cars) do you know if piggybacking to another fuse would have that affect ? Not a big deal, as turning off when you remove the key is much better than having to press buttons on the radio every time.
Thanks again and well done !
    TK :-D

Hi, would you be able to remember the serial number of the iso adapter bracket, I got CTKVW02-ISO but it doesn't seem to work

Thanks for the video. i guess you could use a Quadlock --> ISO canbus adapter and then have no need for the fuse piggy. Of course, it is more expensive.

If you have a 2013 Groove up can you change to a dab radio using a aerial adapter or will I need a whole new aerial?

Hello! Just wondering, what are the benefits of switching the stock unit to a Pioneer for example? I read that the stock unit is alpine, so it should't be too bad?

Hi Magnus, you are correct it is an Alpine unit. Alpine are a good quality manufacturer, however, this unit has been made to a cost and so (in my opinon) it isn't up to the standard you would normally find with an Alpine unit. Also, i wanted to upgrade so that i had more features, such as USB as well as a more powerful built in amplifier for powering some better speakers.

Ashish Gaur if it uses the same connections on the back and is a single din in size then i don't see why not.
