Totally agree with you about preferring to put more money towards travelling than an expensive setup. It's also refreshing to see people travelling who have a budget for their setup ( like most of us) as opposed to those who don't. Some setups are out of reach for most of us but you guys are keeping things real 😊

Great video. Everyone says if you are going to buy a Jayco buy second hand because all the kinks have been ironed out. We bought a second hand expanda and we love it.

Hi, from a Secondary teacher here in Victoria, life on the road and being home-schooled would be an awesome experience. I know there are very good home-schooling programs out of QLD (had friends do it), however do your research.... don't think for a second that he will miss out on the socialisation in high- school... post COVID, kids have changed and there is more behaviour issues in schools now than before. The perks of being home-schooled even in Secondary is the flexibility.. to get school done early and pursue other interests (that are also, often hands on learning) All the best.

I also wanted to add, that often kids who are home-schooled have better results than the state average and performe better in their chosen field later in life. There are stat's that show they do better at University also. All state schools have an agenda, the state sets what the curriculum will be and how much needs to be completed at what yr level... Home-schooled kids have more flexibility in that you can spend more time on topics of interest and/ or if they struggle with a particular concept. And on the flip side move through the topic that come easy for them.. Personally I would look for a curriculum that fosters inquiry based learning (problem solving) of course only if that suits your child.... that's the point, right what is going to benefit the child and the family...

A good compromise for air suspension is to fit BOS legs you level up with them and can lift your van of the ground if needed. No more ramps under the wheels. Each one can lift 1600kg.

Down to earth episode, I built my 7.6 m van 18 yrs ago ,Sold my country property,Left 2008, Best decision I made, Easy to find work, Now semi retired, We as a family in the 60s, travelled to north Qld from NSW, I missed a lot of Schooling Grade 2 Twice , I and my older sister ,brother went to 7 different schools, But we loved travelling, 1958 International Van, New 1965 Chesney Van 6 berth, Full Annex, plus dad made a floor system for Annex , So always dry, Ex Army canvas beds for me and older brother, Enjoyed the rambling,😃🤠🦘🦘🇦🇺
