We were just at Hollywood Studios last Monday and we entered early because we were staying on property. Slinky Dog Dash was ALREADY at a 45 minute wait by the time I could get the kiddos over there.

They say it’s best to do at night because of all the lights and maybe save it for end of day if it’s a long wait
Was at HWS 2 weeks ago. We got to ride Rise of the Reistance and Millenium Falcon twice (as Rise broke down earlier and we got free LL) and we rope dropped Millenium Falcon and genie plus'd it at night. These star wars rides were incredibe!! We also enjoyed Tower of Terror and buzz Light year shooting game. The others like Slinky Dog dash (not sure the hype) and Mickey's runaway train were 'cute' rides.
The last time I was on rockin’ rollercoaster was 2002…and I go to Disney every other year. It is ALWAYS down for us.

5:23 omg I have to go to Mickey and Minnie’s runway ride I went to Hollywood studios for the first time in April 17 but never been go any of the rides only character meet n greets and I always watch Mickey and Minnie shorts
Just back from Disney, rode Ride of resistance and Smugglers run twice by going to Hollywood Studios at 7pm and joining queue. Rode every ride we wanted including Tron and Guardians all without paying for lightening lanes or genie plus, it can be done.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios deserves a lot more rides including some for the whole family! Animation Courtyard deserves a ride-through attraction!

Hollywood studios need more rides
One thing about going on the single riders line at smugglers run, you will always be guaranteed to be a gunner or engineer, never a pilot 😢
My husband and I did single rider. We didn't want to pilot. But neither did the party of 4 we joined. We crashed over and over since we were the pilots
I am terrified of drops, so Tower of Terror is NOT my jam, but I was blindsided by the surprise drop in Rise of the Resistance and definitely accidentally cursed with children sitting nearby. The visuals were absolutely amazing but I probably personally won’t be doing that one again 😅 I wish there was some sort of list of rides with drops 😅
if you're ever worried about a ride being more intense than you'd like you can always look at one of the warning signs outside and throughout the queue areas which will tell you details about how the ride experience will be. Rides with drops have warnings about them on those signs and can be super helpful.

If you hate surprise drops, I would avoid hagrid's at IOA
I think they need to change up fast pass. Have it a mix between the old kiosks and new system. Like pay for "tiers" for that park BUT you get unlimited where, like with the old kiosks, you go up, get a time, and a time that says when you can get your next fast pass. And the times would change throughout the day like it used to go with the kiosks
Sadly, the park held much more value and interest for us when it was MGM and we find ourselves spending less than a half day there, I'm sorry to say.
@@bdchiaccio I get what you mean. I miss the shows like lights motors action. It made the park feel different and interesting.
@@bdchiaccioAre you crazy. Star Wars and Toy Story are two of the best and most pop franchises that Disney has. For me and most people Disney made the right decision to change the park to that even though it took many years, even the Great Movie Ride and don’t get mad at me for saying that. That ride was way too outdated.
My 4 year old screams to go on slinky dog dash non stop. We have to rope drop constantly for slinky dog….

Yes everyone can enjoy it it’s cars 2 I believe but kids and adult enjoy
Racing Academy is a show, not a ride. It's a bit more for kids than for adults.

We will be there on the 4th of July and I’m wondering if we should be in universal, or Disney for the best firework show? We still have to do park reservations but most of our days are going to be at universal (per your recc) bc my boys love rides.

@@jade7122 I did some research and the only parks that have firework shows is Epcot and Magic Kingdom. So we decided on magic kingdom for the 4th. I’m excited but been very stressed planning and getting ready. I’ve got less than 2 weeks before we leave and have far too many things to still get done. 😵💫

I have been on Rise of the Resistance four times and I have yet to see the animatronic Kylo Ren. I always get stuck with him in his TIE. One time, one of the "windows" was broken so I could only see a part of his TIE fighter as well. Haha.
Once did the calculation, and R&R Coaster start is roughly the same acceleration as gravity, i.e. falling off a building. Fortunately it's not vertical...
I think I had the worst day at hollywood studios about a year and a half ago. We did genie+ on both tower of terror and rock n rollercoaster. Well that day both broke down! While waiting for both to open back up, we waited in line for 3 hours for slinky dog dash and it broke down! Eventually that night, we waited 2 more hours for slinky dog dash and then 1 more for tower of terror. I have never gone on rock n rollercoaster and I've been to Disney 3 times!
But anyway if you can I would totally recommend single rider lane!! That same trip at Animal Kingdom, my parents and I all went single rider lane for expedition everest. My mom and i got next to each other and my dad got right behind us! It was totally worth it, especially because the wait was 3x shorter than it would've been otherwise!
It didn’t break down for me this time I went, so I’m hoping that it’s recent refurbishment works and stops it problems in recent years. I hope it keeps the ride from being down almost all day for years to come, because the past 3 years that is what happens so I get you. It leaves you not being able to ride it which is one of my favorites and for you you never gotten to experience the attraction.

Can you do some videos on non-ride attractions?
There last week with a 2 and 4 year old. Slinky Dog was billed as a kiddie coaster, and while it is smooth, it's super fast and does tilt you completely on your side a couple times. Kids are still traumatized by that one. 4 year old loved Smugglers Run, Toy Story Mania, and Mickey and Minnie Runaway Railway though.
Probably sound like a broken record by this point sorry :) But any rumors or word on the return of the meal plans? Will it happen? Asking for a friend :)

Smugglers Run is only fun when you're the pilot. It's very disappointing compared to what it could have been.
I loved being a gunner. And if I had planned better I would have out my motion sickness-prone wife as engineer.
That being said, seeing my 9-year old daughter make the jump to Light Speed...

AJ, Slinky is a full grown roller coaster. Just really smooth and fun. Excitement is just below Everest level.
Can anyone tell me if this is the norm? I'm a little over 6 feet tall, and the shoulder harness for Rock N Roller Coaster was so tight it caused me pain and claustrophobia (NOT a normal fear of mine). Has anyone else had this happen, or did a cast member get aggro with how hard they pressed me in?
I have only rode Rock'n Rollercoaster as a kid, but that coaster is manufactured by Vekoma. They make plenty of rides - and while I think a lot of their restraints suck (headbanging galore), I've never heard of specific pain/claustrophobic. And a little over 6' isn't outrageously tall or anything. I think the castmember just stapled you - especially if it was chest pain or trouble breathing
TBH, I don’t like Mickey runaway railroad.
Why don’t tell me you hate it because it replaced the great movie ride. That is a ridiculous reason l. I hardly ever ride it because it was outdated and that made it boring.
I...think Slinky is overrated and for the life of me i don't know why. I absokutely adore 7 Dwarves in MK, but Slinky is very "meh" for me. Maybe I'm broken...
