One of my cats loves coming up on the bed at night when I lay down for pets. If I stop, she waits a few seconds then taps my hand with her paw like, "Hey... this is supposed to be petting me." If I don't respond because I've fallen asleep, she walks down to my side or my feet and curls up beside me.
Cats definitely have different personalities.
I have two 8 year olds boys and from the same litter never been separated apart from veterinary hospital stays.
One is my shadow and constantly around for affection the other very happy with one or two moments in a day. ❤
I really dont get everyone saying cats dislike change. They fucking love it when i change their places to sit, they love it when i change my furniture areangement.. they come and look at what im doing all curious with their tails in the air looking at me like “DID YOU KNOW THERE WAS A WALL BEHIND THAT CABINET WOW!!”
When i change the spot of their towers they seem like its a new tower they have never seen the space before.
I live with 2 cats and even the badly socialized and traumatised cat likes it when i change up the hoise.
Leave the cat alone, she or he will come to you if you spend enough time together, he/she will eventually see you as a part of the unit. Cats are really not hard to keep... Jesus.
I do all of these and they still wont be really affectionate, I sometimes get a little head rub 🥹.
