The LS-3 has so much potential with very little modification. I installed a Stage 2 cam and kit and picked up 65 hp with no other mods.
Yup big gains and about the same for me
What is a stage two cam mean?
Essentially, the stage doesn’t matter.. it’s just how whoever makes the cam wants to title their cam.. typically bigger lift and duration would mean a higher “stage” cam.. each stage gets more aggressive
@@amberheardsucks7972 Typically, a stage two is fairly mild that has good street manners; stage three is about the most you'll want to drive on the street; stage four is a radical cam that is for racing only.

Turns out the valvetrain wiped out the stock block😢. going with a 408 stroker and forged internals because why not 😂

I have a 2011 Grand Sport Convertible 6 speed manual transmission and I just watched you drive your Yellow Cammed, Tuned beast for 16 minutes. I’m a stock 436hp and considering here in HOPEWELL NEW JERSEY it’s getting to cold for my Summertime tires and I have only owned the car for 3 months. I have not even come close to turning off the electronic nannies and really letting her rip. Sure I have done 50-140 Redline pulls but the power is seemingly never ending! She will do 185 top end, which I will never see on the street.
Heck yeah that’s awesome and yep it was a trip haha, and they are beast up top for sure!
I don’t own a vett (yet) lol, but from reading and watching a ton of videos to know what I’m getting into. Check the bearings, that could be why you’re getting that noise by the front tire. The bearings wear out in the vetts pretty easy and will start making noise. Next time you have her off the floor, try to move your tires and see if you have any play in them. Love the car man!
hey thanks for checking it out! And you will love a vette... but i was just saying the front right tire was pushing bc of it being replaced with a different brand than the others.. that tire has much less grip than the others.

It’s beautiful, I would install brembo brakes right away though, so you don’t have brake fade and you have a more powerful stop.

Did you change your gears to 373s? My car is going on the dyno tomorrow. A and A supercharger and tick stage 2 blower cam. My builder warned of crappy drivability down below 2500. Tick recommends swapping gears to 373 from stk 342. I'm excited to get the car back but also nervous the drivability is going to be lacking down low. Your car seems fine in video. Thanks for sharing.
No reason your driveability should suffer at any rpm range if it’s tuned right, and I am running stock gears still! But let me know what she makes we have the same cam so I’m super interested to see what you put down

Yeah I felt like it should have held better than that too.. if u actually watch close the active handling light came on as soon as the right front tire started pushing... it’s a cheap tire so I am sure that’s what happened

It’s a pioneer avh -x491bhs, it’s about 5 years old now though.. but still looks pretty good

Hell yeah man! I really need to cam my Vette. Back up cam for sure. Also if you relocate the mechanical lock above the license plate to one of the holes next to it and re-rivet it in then you can take a C7 backup camera and it fits perfectly into the square hole and it looks factory OEM. That's what I did on mine. I still daily drive mine and I love that. A buddy of mine who runs an audio shop is convincing me to run one of those new style electronic rear view mirrors as well, they are a trip.
Do it brother!!! And yes haha I have actually looked into the c7 back up camera deal before.. does it make the lines curve when you turn the wheel like the c7?
@@Thatsnapchatyellowc6 I think that is something offered in the stock head unit. I have an Alpine car play unit and it shows cones that you can customize the distance on but no swinging curve. TBH i'm like you and not even use to using a backup camera. I just really wanted it as an extra point of reference and even though I've had it a year I still forget to look at it because I'll be turning my head to look out the glass and in the mirrors but it is useful in busy parking lots.

Curious why you put quality parts on and then went with cheap ass Ebay headers, then you mention the fitment issues and so on, i'm gonna assume the extra labor didn't cost you? Just my opinion but throw on a stainless header like Kooks and be done...Beautiful ride though and sounds good as hell.
Thanks man, and it’s because I had the money saved for kooks headers and then got a careless and wreckless at streetcar takeover 2017 and used the money to pay my ticket and lawyer, and the rest for eBay headers
And they are cheap but I’ll be honest they have been on the car for about 4 years and still going strong lol
