14 years ago I surrendered my life to Jesus in my living room and he saved me and I became so hungry for the Word of God. I could go days without physical food because all I wanted was to devour God‘s word. And one day I was reading in John chapter 10 where Jesus says my sheep hear my voice and they follow me. And that verse became alive to me it was jumping off the pages and I could feel God‘s heartbeat in the book of the Bible. It was like 3-D versus the way they were jumping off. The Lord is in me

Amen to that. When I noticed the sheep I’m convinced that when the rupture comes we the genuine believers will hear it when Jesus Christ is calling come up hither like in Revelation 4:1

Such a beautiful demonstration of God's word.
It's so beautiful!! I get chills when I watch the sheep running to the sound of their shepards voice, just as we, who belong to the Lord, run only to the voice of our Shepard, JESUS.
I used to think that hearing God's voice was when He spoke to my heart, I could regonize His pitch in my ears from my heart. But what I now understand is, when I listen to a prophet or teacher, I can ususlly tell if I can hear/sense God's spirit (voice) in them. I can quickly tell if the anointing is not there and when I research them most of the time I am right.

When I finally heard the Gospel preached there was a presence and a voice and a drawing like , knew that was my home that one who I been separated from and when it came to a God a Father - wandering off lost , it was clear He was The One - Jesus One with the Good Father the mediator The Good Shepherd the voice calling out in the desert - come home

I love this illustration but I think there is more to this that a lot of people miss... God has known who His sheep is since the beginning of time... He created and he chose us, we didn't choose him (John 15:16 I believe) What John 10 is saying is that those of us that were chosen to be His sheep will hear (recognize) His voice and come to Him and follow Him when He calls us to salvation... Others can not and will not hear (recognize) His voice .

Also helps me that to see that only his sheep will hear their sheperds voice - among us are many too who have a father of lies - we all weee scattered - so there’s this exclusivity- why not everyone hears - I appreciate the following aspect for sure and that is true , but also for many years I had this element of recalling searching and never finding the true savior or the one who satisfies and if there was a God which I deep down knew there was I knew it would be made clear but was constantly being let down by false gods and man made mantras. When I’m bummed in ways or becoming cynical that why isn’t everyone into Jesus don’t they hear ? Aren’t all welcome ? Why don’t they take the invitation? Why aren’t other excited about this Savior? I guess this helps me too in that -

What have you been doing, but you know it’s wrong. Ask yourself? This video reminds me off when a voice I heard was encouraging and the other voice I heard was not and told me to kill myself it could never happen. I listened to the voice that was encouraging and now I’m waiting for God to fulfill it. Standing on promise. I was so confused on what I should do and literally every time I would open the Bible it would go back to “my sheep hear my voice” I was so confused on what that meant, but I knew what I had to do I just didn’t want to do it

@@Kayy3020 The point is if you don't accept and believe in Jesus as your Lord and Savior when HE returns you will not hear and come to HIM and be left to be judged for your sins on judgement day. This is not a belief but a reality to what's coming soon.

And of course the farmer's voice is what them sheep respond to... What do u do if u r a lost sheep(just an example) and can't find your way back on your own, but u hear 2 voices.... Which 1 will u follow back to? The 1 who took care of u? Or the other? And which of the 2 can u decifer?
Cause later in the passage it said that if my sheep hears a stranger's voice they'll flee from em... Kinda like stranger danger
