Back in the good ole days when dance clubs had a mix of goths, punks, Rastas, rockabilly's, gays and lesbians. It was all good cause people just liked to dance and have a good time, so it didn't matter what you stood for. Long live the 80s!
The most fun I had in a club was in an 80's music dance club. I recall how the whole club just started to dance and move as soon as the dj played this. Everyone in a trance just losing themselves in this song. I have never forgotten that incredible moment.

This. The one quintessential 80’s dance club song. Everyone loved everyone when this song came on. Maybe it was the Xecstasy of something, the dance, maybe the feeling, but it’s the main memory I have from dance club days.
I remember having 3 of their albums on cassette tapes, backpacking around Mexico with a new Walkman with headphones and just blasting their music while visiting Isla Mujeres and living in a palapa in Tulum. Weird how I remember that.
Oh it just takes me back to my years in the 80's! God how I miss them times. Hearing this song Friday and Saturday nights on the radio live from the club scenes back then.
Wow. I've owned most of Erasures CDs since the mid 80s, seen them in concert a couple of time since and am only now seeing this video for the first time!

Growing up in a household where sleeping in was 8am, blinds up, breakfast ready, music always playing.. whether it was a sports weekend (kids soccer, baseball, etc) or chores day…, always with music. This song brings a flood of memories of special friends, I've lost touch with over the years. Yes it didn't matter what you were into back then. Let's just dance to forget the world, we may not have the next day to live . Almost sixty years old.
Yazoo was before Depeche mode, but yes, he was a pop genius. I notice that Andrew and Alison had close to the same tone vocally. Did Vince choose them for that? Either way he made both of them a star.

Andy was the only gay one but that dosent matter. Judging a band on them having a gay member is homophobic.

Oh L'Amour
Broke my heart
Now I'm aching for you
Mon amour
What's a boy in love
Supposed to do
Looking for you
You were looking for me
Always reaching for you
You were too blind to see
Oh love of my heart
Why leave me alone
I'm falling apart
No good on my own
Oh L'Amour
Broke my heart
Now I'm aching for you
Mon amour
What's a boy in love
Supposed to do
Why throw it away
Why walk out on me
I just live for the day
For the way it should be
There once was a time
Had you here by my side
You said I wasn't your kind
Only here for the ride
Oh L'Amour
Broke my heart
Now I'm aching for you
Mon amour
What's a boy in love
Supposed to do
No emotional ties
You don't remember my name
I lay down and die
I'm only to blame
Oh love of my heart
It's up to you now
You've tore me apart
I hurt inside-out
Oh L'Amour
Broke my heart
Now I'm aching for you
Mon amour
What's a boy in love
Supposed to do
Oh L'Amour
Broke my heart
Now I'm aching for you
Mon amour
What's a boy in love
Supposed to do
Oh L'Amour
Broke my heart
Now I'm aching for you
Mon amour
What's a boy in love
Supposed to do
