- It has happened to all of us. We got to another planet with no fuel no fuel back home nor oxygen to help us explore. How can you get back to your base on Sylva? Find it our with this video tutorial.
How to come back? Your thruster broke and you don't have fuel nor hydrazine to go back home? You will need to look for some resources, but I have a few tips and tricks for you. Don't wonder anymore "how do I come back home in Astroneer? From either Sylva, Desolo, Vesania, Versania, novus, Calidor, Glacio or Atrox. I can't go back. What to do? I really wish there were an option to start on another planet. Sometimes I’ll strand myself on Atrox just for the challenge of it 😂

Oh yes I still fondly remember once when I got stranded on atrox and a volatile something blew up my rocket. Wish I had this video back then. 😪 Either way thanks for the vid!

what happens when you die if your rocket blew up and you don't have a base on the planet? do you get teleported back?
Very clever of you to leave the respawn to shelter option for last! Very much worth doing so. Many of us would have lost a fair amount of tools and such! Thank you so much for the help!
When i tried it the first time I had no idea you would loose your items, so I would use it in only extreme cases
This happened to me right after I watched this video. However I was stuck on novus. (I was using a solid fuel thruster btw)luckily I had a base on novus complete with a field shelter too. So I painfully carried my medium shuttle to my base, however this is a world in play with my friends on so there was another rocket on the planet however the thruster on that rocket was only good for one use so I took it and attached it onto my rocket.
So good to have friends ready to help 😊
Funny how I did this exact thing 2 days ago (on glacio), and had to get everything set up... didn't realize compound seems to be more common in the red dot zones, especially since that was the only thing I needed (already found laterite and ammonium)

If you're on PC (I don't know about consoles) and something really bad happens in your game, you can ALT F4 out of the situation, restart the game and your last save will be there, just load it. Just yesterday I was playing and died, I lost a backpack with a portable oxygenator and a QT-RTG. On my way to retrieve this backpack I died again, then the compass would take me to the place I died the last, so I couldn't find my original backpack with all my beloved stuff.
I ALT F4 out of the game and go back, and eureka, there it was, my last save before I died.

ive actually never been stranded without oxygen, just fuel, and eventually while tryna make a solid rocket booster i found hydrazine, but surprisingly this was just once and i already had a portable oxygenator, qts, and a hoverboard. also was a couple months after i started playing.
it happened because a mutant volatile attactus blew up my fuel

Hey kuya! Just a tip, when you're moving objects above tier 3 or multiple tier 2 objects, you can jump before you grab them in order to conserve your momentum.

I was once playing astroneer with friend, we arrived for the first time on atrox, and some stupid plant destroyed our engine. It took us half a hour to print a new one. Because of this event we always carry one backup engine in our rocket.

Earlier today I was going back to sylva and misclicked and ended up completely lost on sylva. I tried to make another thruster but me no brain so me and my friend just kinda wandered around for like an hour. We eventually found our base again

When I was trying to get all the snails I ended up getting stranded on desilo and I had to make a new truster
Yeah I think it happened to me too because I misclicked and wasted fuel a couple of times
I once stranded myself on glaciology by accident and it took me like an 2 hours to hey all the stuff and I had to create a whole factory again

It wouldn’t be a bad idea to make a beacon while you’re at it, to mark your construction site, considering you had to drag your shuttle all over creation to mine resources to make that engine. You may want to return to that spot later. Just sayin’….
I remember trying to package my thruster and I accidentally ignited it and I thought it will come back down but then I heard an explosion

I shake my hat when i hear about this. But going back when i was new i could see why people freak out when they get stranded. If y i. You can allways go to the menu click on die respawn at base and you're gtg. Except you abandoned your shuttle. But 2 aluminum should fix it right.

What im going do if my shutlle explose and I stuck in a Maze on Glacio??
Look for resin and hope for the best.
Then try to follow these steps in the video but it will be a bit more complicated because you also need a new shuttle.

I was stranded on atrox because a plant blew up my thruster
Or you could blow up your spaceship (if you have any explosives on you) and if you have a beacon put it down before you die and when you respawn you should respawn back at your base on Sylvia then make a shuttle and enough thrusters to get you to your body and back. sorry i just went thought this because I got stuck on atrox and was in early game it sucked until i found some dynamite at a crash site.
That's another way to do it!

I made a small space craft, launched into orbit,went back to sylva. I launched into a another planet, went to desolo and have 1 launch left. Is 1 launch enough to make it back to sylva or to anothet planet or do I have to follow this video?
Currently stuck on Novus.
Landed in a really good spot, ruins with working generators and a large turbine, platforms and dynamite.
Compound and resin in good quantities, I managed to set up a lot of stuff, I'm just missing 1 Aluminum to get off the planet but I haven't found any laterite yet, tips?

I believe the satellite only unlocks after you activate at least one gate on any planet, so you should be able to teleport to a planet. There you can gather the resources you need, go back to the satellite and get your stuff. You may need to bring a packager for the shuttle that you left there

Yep ... It happened to me not too long ago... I had just enough fuel, but I accidentally landed twice on the same planet, leaving me with only one shot left 😅
