Truly inspiring Mark.
It's nice to see how your style has changed since then! Love the caricature!
the last one is amazing
that upside down one was really cool man
the defintion of mark crilley is pablo picasso
More more more!! I love seeing old art, and seeing where you started out. I'm sure other people want to see more too.
Yes please Mark, do these periodically. Seeing your old stuff is fun.
i loved this video! it gives us a tour of your art styles over the years, but it also shows different stages you went through as an artist. I actually find it trully inspiring since i'm a young artist myself, and i sometimes feel down that i haven't yet found a style of art that is my favourite or i would really specialise in, but seeing how others also have changed styles a lot gives me a bit more confidence that it's normal and i'll find my style soon.
Thank you for sharing this with us!!!
YAY! Please do more of these old artworks stuff it's so interesting!!
I have always loved your Akiko books and illustrations! And I loved hearing you talk about them.
Mark, seeing your amazing artwork honestly intimidates me. I can't imagine ever getting that good, or HOW I would get that good. It'd be cool if you could make a video talking about your most difficult struggles in improving your art/technique, how you practiced, and if you ever got frustrated and just wanted to give up. I feel like it would give the rest of us hope that we can one day be as amazing as you!
I would love to see more of your work, it's really interesting and enjoyable to see your progress and experimentation, and to hear about your experiences at the time.
Definately want to see more of your old art! This video is really inspiring.
I love the usual how-to videos that you make so well, but this was pretty awesome! Love ALL of your vids. I would be VERY interested in seeing more of your previous artwork.
Great to see what kind of artwork you've made before. I think one of the coolest things about drawing is going back through your work to see what kind of stuff you've made before and how you've improved.
Please do more of this! I love seeing your work, especially your post-manga stuff.
I enjoy seeing the different styles. It's a good reminder that you're not stuck only with the manga style and that you're have so much more to show.
I want more of these videos! I'm not a huge manga fan, so seeing these different styles is really fun!
You are my inspiration
I'd love for you to show us some more of these every now and then, this was rather interesting! I love the details you put in to everything!
Thanks for posting this video. I thought it was quite delightful seeing your early artwork Mark. Thanks for all your wonderful videos and I would love to see more like this. Thanks!
I've read a few of ur Akiko books as a kid. now I'm subscribed to you the manga artist. feels great that you are still part of my life

Love to see early developmental pieces from other artists, it's great to watch how certain styles evolve and change through the years. Love your work.
LOVED! i like how this is a nice little change from all your other videos and loved seeing all your old art work :D hope you do more videos like this from time to time
Please make more of these kinds of videos! It's very interesting to learn about your past drawings!
It is really nice seeing your earlier works. Even for the crowd learning from you because it gives us an opportunity to see the progression of YOUR artwork to give us a better idea that it takes time to develop such skill. A lot of people think that the drawing process is automatic and seeing this helps us to understand that everybody must learn. I think that showing some of your "bad" works will help with that as well.
I feel it was great to see your past work. Really shows us how much hard work you put into your work.
More of your old work, please! I'm in looove with these!
I used to love Akiko as a little kid, it was one of the only series I would check out from the library. To find out that it was created by one of my favorite youtubers made my day :) Thank you, Mark Crilley.

Perfect! Just plain perfect Mark! You always know what I want to see something wan when I want to see it! I know some people are thinking the same thing!
Loved seeing you're artwork!
I remember buying akiko from a book fair at school 12 years ago. Seeing these drawings sparked my memory, and it's so crazy that I've been watching your videos now in my 20's, when I had your books when I was 8.
Mark Crilley! I have been watching your videos for a couple years now and I just made the realization that you visited my my elementary school.
You are a man of multiple talents. And I thank you for your 'how to draw' videos, they've helped me with drawing increasingly, however, i still lack the correct utilities which would improve my drawing technique and final outcome. Loving your videos keep it up Sir.
I loved this video, I think it's great that you show some of your earliest artwork.
it was really fun to watch your past art, and it would also be fun to see some other images in the future

This is great! You're an HUGE inspiration to all beginner artists like myself.
I would love to see more. Great inspiration!
Taking New Year's break to explore your post-Akiko work. I've missed quite a bit! The instructional videos are a treasure.
Please do more of this. I would really like to know more about your art history. Like when did you realize manga was your thing, and did you ever have doubts about yourself? How did you begin drawing in the first place? And did you have thoughts about choosing a different, more safe, carrier?
These are the best videos.
i loved this and would love to see something like this again.
This older art work is amazing to me, I'd love to see more.
Really like this video, please show more of your old art. It's very inspiring.
The more I draw the more I realize I favor the western styles, but you will forever be my teacher Mark and the man that most inspired me to take up a pencil in my youth! Excellent video. I love your illustrations They're always so good.

Very interesting seeing some of your earlier work.
i really liked this video. when you posted that question on your facebook page a few months ago about which videos we liked that best from you i think i was the only one who said i liked the Q&A videos the best and one of the reasons why i liked them is because you show your older artwork in some of them
i absolutely loved this video, i've never thought of putting my own characters into well known anime story locations, that's genious! I haven't drawn in a very long time but this looks like a really nice and fun challenge, i think i'll draw famous animes in each other's stories, like draw a Spirited Away character in the world of Howl's Moving Castle or something. Thanks for the inspiration. I would really like to see more videos like this in the future to, they're really great.
Mark. YOU ARE AMAZING!

awesome video mark! they look really cool
great video. The last image with the upside-down city really ignited my imagination. I visualized this huge cliff hovering over the sea with a nesting of buildings underneath. I mean, just imagining how such a city could be built and how it would feel to be immersed in such a surreal environment. Incredible.
Thats amazing. Love the upside down city and the giant worm. I would like to see more.
Really enjoyed it. Style changes were fantastic! Recognized WTPooh-style too, easily. You've been good at what you do, for a very long time.
