Let me clear some things up, Mai will actually come before Elena, the date placement on the season 2 announcement may be confusing for some, this was confirmed on the official Twitter account. Bison is also the same Bison from every other game, he's just an amnesiac, and yes, that means he didn't die at the end of A Shadow Falls, the scars that light up when he uses Psycho Power are from his final battle with Ryu in SFV, this was confirmed in an interview with Takayuki Nakayama on Famitsu.
Winter 2025 means something different in Japan. That comes out to a January-February-March release window.

With Terry and Mai in SF6 we can do the Terry/Ken Death Battle all we want AND get the Mai taunt to Chun-Li in SNK vs Capcom 2 in reverse too. Chun can wear Mai's outfit! :D

@@TheJakeJackson Just one thing to note, he said that M. Bison is less exciting than Elena. That absolutely isn't the case lol, the FGC despises Elena because of how broken she was in SF4.
It's worth noting that Capcom clarified that "Winter 2025" means somewhere along the lines of January or February so Mai will actually be coming out before Elena

Re: Elena: two important bits not mentioned is that she's the first introduced-in-SF3 character to return in SF6, and that Akuma's sole friend is returning (yes, somehow she managed to befriend AKUMA).
Akuma probably tried punching her away, but she kept healing.

Simple it's mainly due to 6 words ( 7 technically) Terry Bogard Mai Shiranui Street Fighter 6
It's pretty crazy that Terry and Mai are the first ever non Final Fight guest characters in Street Fighter ( yes Zeku was a strider but not exactly the Strider Hiryu that's well known) all this like 20 years after the last Capcom and SBK game and how both companies went through some similar situations like a decade ago
Akira in SF5 was a Rival Schools guest character, but she was still a Capcom character at least.

M. Bison seems to have become a big fan of Raoh from Fist of The North Star. Also really hyped to see Terry show up as a proper guest character in SF6. He's been one of my favorite SNK characters since a friend introduced me to thier games over 20 years ago and I'm always happy to continue to main him in as many games as will let me.

Maybe he saw how War looked in Darksiders and thought "hey, that could be me!".

Mai is not the 4th character of the season, she's the 3rd. Capcom is a japanese company, and in Japan, they consider winter season when it ends, so winter 2025 is from December 2024 to February 2025.
Fun fact: In recent years, SNK's top girl Mai has been appearing in over 100+ 'Collaborations' (most of them are P2W mobile games). Like Mike, I will leave it to you to guess why she's so popular (to collaborations).
Great to see these characters entering SF6 (especially MAI), but I'm still a bit sad that Dan and Sakura won't be back. (Yet?)

Elena's healing was trash in SF3, and characters change in each game. I'd be more concerned about the stuff shown in Bison's trailer.

I feel like the butt pfp accounts should have earned their own dedicated spot in the report post menu at this point. Sure you can call them spam or unwanted sexual content or whatever, but those all feel unspecific and slightly inaccurate. 90% of the time I hit report post lately, it's for very similar butt robots saying an innocuous platitude with two irrelevant emojis, and I think it would be fun if that was just a tag in the report interface for now.
I’ve heard bullying/harassment is a good choice, especially when they remember to put random punctuation at the end to avoid the spam bot

As a big fan of Capcom and SNK fighting games, I'm really disappointed. SF 6 should have created more original characters or at least return some of the characters from previous games.
Crimson Viper, Dudley, Gill, Yun and Yang are few of the characters I want to see.
Quick correction: Terry Is not the lead of KOF. Frankly, he's more of a side character there.
Having Terry appear in SF is so appropriate since the first Fatal Fury is, in a way, the real Street Fighter 2.
The reliance on complicated combos means I don't bother with fighting games anymore...

This is the first time Capcom has put a guest character from another developer into a mainline Street Fighter game. Other guest characters have all come from other Capcom games. This indicates that Capcom is interested in working with other companies. Teken has recently featured Akuma as a character. There is a strong possibility of a Teken crossover happening on the Capcom side. Also considering that Capcom just released a collection of X-man games that include all titles from X-men: Children of the Atom to Marvel vs Capcom 2 it certainly looks like Capcom is ready to start making more Capcom vs games. Capcom vs SNK 3 would be absolutely wild. So would a revival of the Marvel vs series. The current heads of the fighting games division of Capcom seem really competent and passionate about fighting games. Capcom could be headed for a full revival of their long neglected Fighting Games tradition.
Back in 1992, SNK poached a bunch of Capcom talent that had worked on Street Fighter II, which is why Art of Fighting felt like a ripoff at the time.

I love everything about this game stylistically, but playing it cemented for me that I will never enjoy a fighting game with a meter system, I just find them so tedious to wait around/spam garbage for.
Maybe Ultra Fight da Kyanta 2 could change your mind! You gain a whole new perspective on resource management when you play a game with meters that no one has discovered the function of yet
