- Decided to make this video in celebration of Federers most recent Grand Slam! One notable point thats missing is the Wimbledon 2008 passing shot. I tried to take the entire point into consideration, not just one shot, which is why that pass is absent. With that being said enjoy the video!

That AO Final point in the 5th may have been the best point of his entire career! And what's different about that point from all the others is that there is no fancy shots, and no laughing and smiling about the point afterwards. He was right in the thick of fighting off a friekin werewolf that wanted to tear his heart out and sit on his chest while eating it up letting all that delicious blood and gore drip down his chin. That's what made this win so great: Federer is not that type of person or player, yet he adapted himself and his game, and *HE* *WON*! He got away from that nightmare fiend, and he is probably going to leave with not just that trophy, but with the G.O.A.T. title - and rightly so. He is perhaps the greatest sportsman of all time, not just tennis player.
Jimmy Jefferson PREACH 🙌
: ]
Jimmy Jefferson being a Rafa fan, I always considered Roger the GOAT of tennis before the AO title but now he deserves to be considered the GOAT. I don't give a sh*t about the weak era etc. he showed the world that he can play great in all surfaces having great results. Thank god we had these two legends playing against each other and giving the fans those epic matches. Lets hope now for the 10th RG for Rafa ;).
Diego Artazcoz Yeah they have definitely made one another better, especially Nadal making Roger have to get better. I would love to see another Nadal-Federer RG Final this year! Crazy is it may sound, I do think Federer would have a chance. Why? Because Nadal looked tired in the AO Final, which you really don't see with him. And RG requires more energy - unless he shortens the points, rather than choosing to grind down his opponents as a strategy. That's just IMHO.
Jimmy Jefferson but the recovery in clay is way easier and specially for Rafa than in hard courts. So we cannot compare the AO with RG in terms of physical strength.
"can you believe it" I can believe it, its Federer.
Greatest tennis player of all time
Daniel Figueroa Nope nadal
Simon van Prooijen you wish, dumbfuck.
Cool Apple djokovic is
Cool Apple nadal is better then fed
Cool Apple look at h2h dumb
I can't wipe the smile off my face.........
That shot he hit with Andy Roddick. I mean speechless. Only Roger
Roddick lost that point because he stopped playing, thinking he had it. He played himself by not taking into consideration what Roger could do.
Fed had an unrealistically low probability with that shot...Roddick had the ad side covered basically completely. Federer just made a ridiculous 1 in 10 shot
I think 1 in 10 is generous, even for Federer haha.
Nadals done that before just saying.
Tom Deverson, not really, Nadal done that afterwards and against lesser oponents (great nevertheless, but not quite as impressive)
Extraordinary skills. The most enjoyable GOAT to watch by far…
Greatest player of all time! He makes it look so easy!
the shot vs agassi is probably the most technically difficult to execute under pressure, of all of these shots IMO
Jordan = Basketball
Aii = Boxing
Ruth = Baseball
Gretzky = Ice Hockey
Federer = Tennis
All names mentioned above are the G.O.A.T for their respective sports not because they are the best but they make their game look way too easy and thus the reason on why we watch them LIVE!!!
You forgot Messi for football
The Difference between Federer and a player like Djokovic is that Federer's game is much more spectacular. and elegant. He is a pleasure for the eyes. Unlike Djoko's robotic game that is oftenly big marathons and baseline points, Fed can do anything and his best points don't look like each other because he has so much creativity thanks to his technique and touch. Make no mistake, Djoko is a fantastic player but even if he ends up winning more grand slams than Federer, I will always consider Fed the GOAT.
There's no way Federer can be considered a better player than Djokovic if he loses the GS record
Smart and correct point of view. Nothing to add.
I completely agree with you!
Totally true!!
@@olivermccall3898 it's not just about GS dude. Who affected the sport the most for his gen? Besides, djokovic is 7 years younger so the fact that Federer can still win matches let alone take sets from djokovic is insane.
Federer is a legend. Talent and hard work combined, The Best combo. We should all be gratefull that our lives intersected.!
+ cool n calmness
there's something about that jump celebration after the tweener against djokovic... something about it.. makes my heart pump
Even if everyone passes his grand slam count, he will be the GOAT to me always
Fed is amazing to watch. His balance, flexibility and recovery on points where he has to cover long distance to get to the ball is incredible. I’ve been playing 40+ years and realize how difficult it is to send the ball back at an extreme angle from the direction you are moving - never mind doing it multiple times on a single point. Even if you were/are a 5.0+ player, there are times when Fed does stuff that you say “ no way I could do that - no freakin’ way”.
his father at the end so happy to see his son play and make those amazing shots, wish my father would be this proud of me :(
slicer 4life only one Roger Federer don’t count on it
slicer 4life L
slicer 4life Hey man, sorry to hear things aren’t that way with you and you’re dad. Hang in there and be proud for yourself! That’s where it matters!
@@Rowed You shouldn't need to be like Roger to satisfy your parents.
@@molybdaenmornell123hopp5 Thank you Captain Obvious, for missing the point entirely, because nobody was talking about making their father just “satisfied”. The comment was rather about having their father as proud of them to the same extent of pride as Roger Federer’s dad is of his son. I’ll try to make this very easy for you to make up for your lack of imagination. The comment said, “I wish my father would be *this* proud of me”. The “*this*” being the extent of how proud Federer’s dad is of him. Continuing on, thinking rationally, a father isn’t going to be as proud of a son who just got a job as he would be proud of a son who is Roger Federer, a world-class tennis player. When I said “only one Roger Federer”, that is directed to how impressive Roger Federer is, a world-class tennis player. When I said “don’t count on it”, that is the conclusion of all of this, in that the commenter would have to be on the same order of magnitude as the extent of Roger Federer’s accomplishments for his father to reasonably be capable of being “*this*” proud of the commenter.
I made this comment on the spur of the moment 3 years ago, so I must say that it’s hilarious how you would reply after 3 years with such a dull statement. I’m sorry for being oh so condescending to you in this comment, but perhaps you should reread yours first.
This Agassi Point need a Remastering in 4k :p this Point is Insane.
Just some rallies that show why the GOAT is the GOAT. Ive been following the sport since Edberg and Lendl was at the top, and no1 has ever changed a sport like Federer. To me there are only a few players that are close to Federer, but they are only close. He has given me so many memorable moments but of course he couldnt have done that without Nadal, Djokovic and Murray.
GOAT, you can't deny.
Not for long, forever
Yup, you?
he could be the GOAT if Nadal and Djokovic didn't exist.
Thanks for a great collection, so hard to pick. I remember watching the AO point vs Hewitt - to me that was the Federer pivot, I then knew he'd go to number one and the announcers felt the same as their commentary switched from that moment on.
You would think he played this kind of points at times when it wasn't so important, but in fact it often happens at crucial stages of a match.
He came from outside this world. Amazing
The last tweener against Novak seems to be in every fucking list about RF's best point around the internet!!!!And i love it!!!
I LOVE his dad's reactions in the box yelling and getting up, it's that amazing
Beyond the cups, numbers, trophies i think he is the most natural talented tennis player of all time
I remember in September 2009 running back home with the hope of watching the end of the USO semi, turning on my tv and the first point I saw was that tweener passing shot. I turned my tv off. It had made my day.
6:32 “RIDICULOUS”
ROGICULOUS
Thanks for the incredible compilation of the Maestro's top points. To me, the most amazing is the one against Hewitt (?) in the AO, because his opponent is in a dominant net position and hits him with 4 impossibly difficult shots in a row. In a near tie is the Del Potro exchange, because he not only has to go coast to coast repeatedly to stay alive, but also manages to get off two consecutive impossible cross-court shots with perfect placement. The third best is the Roddick sequence. Nevertheless, I'm sure you could find an incredibly impressive second and third set of ten best points.
Yeah, this rally was played by Federer and Hewitt during fourth round of Australian Open in 2004, in the fourth set (2-2, 0-15) 🙂
I made a reasarch on CZcams to find a detail moment of this action 😁
No airs and grases, no grunting, just sure brilliance...
Are we sure he's even human? Insanity! How it is even possible to play like this?
Roger is such an incredible athlete! Greatest player ever and always a class act.
Sono completamente d'accordo con la classifica. Gli ultimi tre punti sono i miei preferiti e ci sono in moltissimi video dei top ten di Federer, ma l'ultimo è veramente un qualcosa di spettacolare. Senza parole. Good work! 💪
Federer = The Tennis Artist !!
Yes!!! Federer= The Tennis Artist!!! Butterfly Balerin Gratiouse Delicacy Elegant Gentelman Genius KING EVER!!! Love much him and players Pette Sampras Hewitt Agassi and other which know play True Tennis inteligent elegant not brutal scream bad look to oponent !!! Thank!!! Respect and Love!!!🍀🌷🌷🌷🍀. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
When i watch Federer playing , i think tennis is easy , he plays as if the racket is a part of his body , he is so smart & so fast , he is the goat
Estoy aquí por Broncano, gracias por predicar la palabra de Roger Federer
I love it when he improvises with random squash shots.
God bless you, your Majesty... RF 🎾
"El grande signore del tennis"....that sums it up quite nicely
Legend
Fed Delphi match was amazing. Seeing Fed play Agassi and Sampras was special
Roger will always be my favorite. So much respect for Nadal and Djokovic as well. Federer makes the game look so effortless. Nadal is the most humble and competitive fighter. Djokovic is the most clutch player in the big moments. They all have so many great qualities. All are UNBELIEVABLE. People need to stop getting caught up in the GOAT debate. Just enjoy and appreciate all of them. What Nadal achieves doesn't diminish the other two. That goes for Federer and Djokovic too. I'm hoping for some more epics between all of them.
Love his style of tennis!!! GOAT!
The God of tennis actually.
3 Dislikes: Djakovic, Murray and Nadal...
Nah not Nadal fans. Nadal fans respect Federer
CsmatrixTR Roddick made different accounts for dislikes..
Its Djokovic*
Rafa admires Roger. The Spaniards love Rafa and we admire Roger Federer. Rafa would never vote negatively to Roger. X-D
4th dislike: needs more fucking jpeg... can barely see the ball sometimes.
The ultimate talent and shot maker..!
Truly magnificent
Totally agree with this Top 10
Tennis FREAK!! A class apart. There will never be another you Mr. Federer. Absolute G.O.A.T.
Federer corresponds to tennis as Jordan corresponds to basketball. Proud of having been able to admire them, in my generation!
This is why Roger is the GOAT - consistency on all surfaces
This guy is the number one for me ...
Number one for ever
Amazing
RF ended Roddick's and Hewitt's career, being them younger than him. That's what I call a champion. And that's a fact.
I remember seeing that last one live. It was just truely unbelievable
Roddick always a great guy as he goes to the other side to Congrads Federer. Great stuff
At least he's being honest- showing his appreciation for witnessing someone do something he hasn't seen before, or even believed was possible to do- (return an overhead smash for a winner).
Because he threw his racket to the other side. So he had to go to the other side to get it.
Roger the Wizard!!!🙏🏻💪🏻😍
Seemingly magical, he is.
I had no idea that insane last shot gave him match point in a GS semi. That's what sets that shot and the Nadal AO 17 rally apart - how important they were in the match. Fed famously a break down at that point in the AO final. I hope when he retires he does a speaking world tour or something. What an honour it's been living through his era.
Simply the best!
That year in Melbourne Fed looked absolutely amazing for the later stage of the career
Simply "UNTOUCHABLE"
#3rd
Wimbledon 2008 4th set tie breaker down 7-8 Nadal championship point, then a running back hand passing shot down the line...... where is that ???
Read description.
just curious? did you consider the first point of the 4th set tiebreak at 08 wimbleodon final or the overhead slice winner against Djokovic at 08 us open semifinal now those were legendary points.
Yes I did.
Great selection of shots but your logic doesn't convince Re: the 2008 passing shot at Wimbledon. When you imagine the significance of its outcome, the pressure, poise and absolute beauty of execution. And it was all part of a great point overall with Nadal pinning him into a corner and looking certain to end it right there!
Great video! In my opinion, I think no.2 was the best shot of his career
Most of the long set rallies between federe and Djoker ends up with Federer winning it with an unbelievable shot at the end 🔥😍😅😅🙆
He won again, yesterday, exactly a year later. A genius.
The 2017 AO Final point is, in my opinion the greatest point of his career and one of the greatest points of all time in its context. That match, if we can call anyone such, is to me the greatest tennis match ever contested. It had every element that made the 2008 and 2009 Wimbledon finals great, as well as the 2012 AO Final an epic one. Both players deserve all the praise they got for their display and are all time greats in their own merits. I used to not quite like Nadal because his emphasis on physical effort, but he has proved this year that he is much more than outlasting and overpowering other players with everything he has done.
And Federer, well, he's Federer, I knew deep inside that he had something in himself that would propel him back to the top of the game and he didn't prove me wrong and gave me another few years to enjoy watching tennis with his displays. I still get chills on my spine while watching that 5th set point and I'm so glad I got to see it all live on TV, as I did his US Open tweener against Djokovic. Shoutout to both players for being the greats that they are!
I miss the point in AO 2016 vs Nole 3-4 15-30 in the fourth.
TheLOLBB yes i think the number 2 or 3
Pretty nice but 2 bad overhead smashes by Novak made it much easier and possible for Roger. The rest of that game was just Novak's excellence (and 1 luck with the net). From this video that point against Delpo the best for me, 2nd against Agassi.
Federer's backhand is the best ever.
本当に格好いい。ショットもフットワークも予測も、全てが一流。
Exactly why this the GOAT.
That win against Djoko at the beginning is the perfect example of what a true tennis master is. And that’s a fact and it’s the truth, period. What a player RF is, what a player, what a master he is...
My god. The last one is just insane!
Pretty close the delpotro one is amazing
you can feel the agressivness of the Del Potro's drive and Federer dedication
Beginning at 5:20, Roger returns five winning shots from his opponent- the last for a winner (and from an overhead). Nobody in the game can do that (besides Roger).
Damn that rally against delpo is absolutely amazing
The best everytime ,
That point against Agassi wow Roger 😍
The best tennis player since now. Agassi said that Federer is the best player he had never play with.
...for ever Roger Federer...the best of all times...!!!!!
El mejor que ha habido.
El mejor que habrá nunca.
were is the one versus Gonzales in AO 2007??
very good video. Tennis is really fun. :D
Semplicemente.... Roger 💪
From a hardcore Nadal fan, Federer probably deserves the title of GOAT most amongst the big three.
But do you still think that now...?
Man, watching that point against Del Potro in the 09 US Final to immediately break and do so with that spectacular point, looking back on it now pains me so much to know he would go on to lose that match. I am sure there wasn't a single person who gave Juan a chance in hell to win that match after witnessing that greatness.
Love the game
Young federer is so cute
This needs to be updated annually....
One of the great backhand player
MAGIC !
Maestro.
La classe et le talent à la fois.. Pas de mot pour décrire ce joueur.
One of the greatest players of all time.
No matter how many titles djokovic will claim, in my humble opinion Roger is still the GOAT! He made tennis look entertaining and artistic, rather than just boring
The beauty you are talking about is superficial.
In terms of vision of the game/geometry of the court/adaptability to conditions and opponents/mental strength/combativity, Djokovic is recognized to be the best of all time.
Djokovic has a tennis IQ of 200+ btw
Also, Djokovic's technique is just exemplary, watching his highlights are worth 100 tennis books&lessons, if you want to have a good look at how should be played modern professional tennis.
This guys is 34 y/o and still rank #1, and able to win even more.
*When Federer held all the records 5 years ago, the records were the only thing his fans stated as the supreme argument on the GOAT topic.* 🗣🗣🗣🏆+🥇+ 📈 *=* 🇨🇭🐐
And now that Djokovic keeps conquering all of his records, suddenly records don't matter anymore. Suddenly it's all about the beauty of the game they present on the court, and who is more likabel as a person. *Tennis is NOT figure skating, nor artistic swimming and will never be, not a popularity contest or Miss Universe either.*
You can love someones personality and the way he plays more then others, but ultimately when they all retire, *accept it or not (it doesn't matter 🤷♂️) the GOAT will be the one with the most records, who ever that be!* *NUMBERS DON'T LIE* 🥇🏆📊
the final shot in this video,I've seen Federer do that shot several times
I want that Wimbledon 2008 passing shot!
That get against Andy Roddick is the all time greatest winner!! the angle on that, even the thought that he can somehow win that point at that stage...is ridiculous!!
GOAT
This guy's pretty good, he should look into this sport. See where it takes him, career-wise
For me , even his record in tennis be broken, he is still the GOAT,,
7:34 best tweener ever:)
