How disrespectful to say Ranieri is a mistake and is too far gone... Ranieri just came from Sampdoria where he guided them to safety. It wasn't long ago he did the unthinkable and won the premier League with Leicester. Simon Jordan's comments are just nonsense, he is a class act with dignity and respect. Simon's experience with Ranieri (not sure what that is!) Sounds to me he just doesn't like him but for no good reason .

  • @andrewhead6267

Simon Jordan knows why he was sacked. It is the same reason why Palace were able to buy Hughes while offering a worse contract than he was offered at watford. Hughes was not prepared to accept a relegation clause, because he thought Munoz was not up to the task. By the way a 40% win rate would mean 12 wins. watford best ever in the Premier league is 14 wins!

  • @19perception83

Sorry Mr Jordan you are completely wrong about Ranieri doing a poor job at Sampdoria. Ranieri did a fantastic job. I'm a lifelong fan of the club and I can tell you we were destined for relegation to Serie B. He took the team from literally bottom of Serie A to 9th in less than 2 seasons - with zero investment and a chairman trying to sell the best players every season. He was let go because he asked for 7 specific players to stay who formed a base for the team and the chairman didn't want that as he wanted to sell sell sell.
You have a very tactically competent manager now Watford. Nothing fancy but someone who knows how to get the best out of players you have. If they are good enough for the EPL then Ranieri WILL keep you there.
