    I love these figs and what you did with them. I like the horror type tone you painted them and in general over all horror'ish theme to them. I'm a terrain guy, these figs on a game table with creepy looking trees, maybe cornfields and hay and pumpkin fields would look unreal.

      @OnPointHQ  Před 2 lety

      Cheers Matt, that's awesome! They would certainly fit in with some creepy looking terrain like that. I haven't really given much thought to what terrain to use with these. I was thinking broken and dead trees with some ramshackle and dilapidated buildings. Definitely something I need to think about 😀

    #weirdshit….. love it Ste! The plague mask toff is from Black Scorpion. I think I got him with another order

      It grows.....it grows! Well it is definitely one of the creepiest figures I think I've painted and it certainly has that Turnip28 aesthetic about it. I shall definitely be checking out their other miniatures to see what other strangeness they have 😀

  • @basicminiaturepainting

    I may say beautiful work ste

      Thanks Justin, much appreciated. I always find painting Turnip28 miniatures so different to other figures and systems. They look so much darker and drabber but it certainly works 🙂

      Thanks Anthony, much appreciated! I hadn't painted much Turnip28 stuff in the past few months but getting these painted up for Crack has certainly motivated me to start on the third regiment soon 😀

    Great models and great paint job, that witch doctor my favorite, that crow on that guy shoulder is beautiful and gruesome in the same time, haha crazy kits.

      I absolutely love working on Turnip28 stuff as there is literally no guidance, rules, uniforms etc to follow. You can just let your imagination run wild and build what you want to 😀

    Brilliant stuff Ste you can really sense the enthusiasm you have for this project. This more medieval aesthetic has got me interested there's something about it that appeals more than the mix of Napoleonic minis. It's got a very Mork Borg ( a very dark osr rpg game) kind of feel to it.

    • @OnPointHQ
      @OnPointHQ  Před 2 lety +1

      Cheers Paul! I have definitely found that with Turnip28 once you start building and painting the enthusiasm just keeps building. These medieval themed units were really different to put together compared to the Napoleonic ones but the aesthetic is largely the same. Someone mentioned Mork Bork on Twitter....it sounds like something I need to check out 😀

    • @OnPointHQ
      @OnPointHQ  Před 4 měsíci +1

      I would certainly recommend having a go at Turnip28 using any spare miniatures that you have to hand. I've used a lot of Napoleonic and medieval figures when building my Turnip28 regiments and they always work well. I've always found that with Turnip28 there are no limits to your creativity 😃👍

    • @OnPointHQ
      @OnPointHQ  Před 2 lety

      They can be pretty much anything really! I use horses but I've seen people use pigs, slugs and an all manner of other animals. I wish I could create something like this but the Turnip28 world is the creation of the awesomely talented Max Fitzgerald 🙂

  • @jonathanlevine4661

    I used Victrix french Napoleonic Imperial Guard Lancers for my cavalry units because I was not sure what to arm them with and they have lances swords and rifles on the models so I can experiment on which works best for me . I do need to pick up some archers or model so guys with rocks ( potatoes) in their hands

    • @OnPointHQ
      @OnPointHQ  Před rokem

      I think any Napoleonic cavalry are perfect for Turnip28, I have some spare British and French that I was given that will definitely be getting the Turnip28 treatment soon 😁

      @@OnPointHQ I have middle guard as well. These are some of my first minis in years. I have not the heart to turnip them up I have just painted their pom poms like radishes still in the early stages of the paint job. advice on pinning and changing lances and banners out for a stronger material. I remember having a hard time with the pin vice and finding drill bits that were small enough to drill out a hand. Advice on this would be greatly appreciated. and thank you
