- This is the new DS 3. It may look similar to the Citroen DS3, and rightly so. The DS brand has gone it alone as a premium alternative to the likes of BMW and Audi, so the Citroen badges have been ditched in favour of shiny new DS badges. The DS 3 goes squarely up against the popular MINI hatchback and Audi A1.
The DS 3 is largely the same as the old Citroen DS3, just with a new look at the front. Everywhere else, you get the same stylish exterior design, a quality interior with plenty of space and an enjoyable driving experience. There's a wide range of frugal petrol and diesel engines to choose from, too.

I personally think Ginny is one of the best reviewers there is, it's just a shame that Carbuyer doesn't care to retake shots like the one of the owner's manual.
2:30 funny how the all cupholder thing is such a big deal for the UK and the US. In EU people don't need their sugar intake to be so constant. lol :D
I know I'm 2y late but I mean... you could just put water in that cupholder which idk about you is pretty nice to be able to drink on a long journey without having to pull over to open a water bottle.

The mini with the same engine is better but as a British Citroen fan I like this and would have one.

im an american but my parents always bought european cars when i was growing up. about 10 years ago my father bought a second hand porsche and was taken aback when he saw that it had cupholders. he couldnt believe anybody would want to sip a beverage while driving a porsche.

I'm not much of a petrolhead, but that is a beautiful little car, I'm torn between that and the Mini, but from what i gather the Minis, at least pre 2014 are a nuisance to work on. This is a beaut, i don’t know why more people don’t drive them, wait i do know, because everyones too busy following the crowd and driving a white Merc or Bmw they can’t afford.
Looks very similar to my 2012 DS3. No cup holder was annoying at first but you can fit one into the space on the door.
I think they always have been and still are great looking cars.
I’m already obsessed with this car and I’ve only done three driving lessons lol can’t wait to drive this
I love the "hold on a hill for a couple of seconds " brake system..no more yanking on the handbrake.

the glove box is small on the UK version, not the mainland one...u can fir the manual and water bottles in it while aircooling them..
It looks good, definitly if you know what Citroens used to look like right up to a couple of years ago ;)
Thank You for this video car presentation. Ciroen brand is positive effect on people's perception. Beside it is not soo good that its back seat passengers cant trvale comfortable by head room distance at the back seats. I think this is suitable for urban drive as a couple.

The cupholder is a dealer accessory, very useful if you do like to have them in your DS3. I'm not too bothered though, and who actually uses the glovebox? It may be small but hey, it's a glovebox, supposed to carry only gloves right?

C3 and DS3 you can get a cup holder online that fits in the tray in front of the gearstick
You missed the fact that there is air con vent in the glove box to keep ur snacks/drinks cool. If u can fit them there anyway ;)
there is no AC glove box on right hand drive models
Ofcourse you have the manual in the car, where else would you have it? Under your bed?
I don't carry it either in my Clio, the glovebox is simply too small. Also all of it is accessible online.

Too bad PSA run out of cash shortly after launching the DS brand. If not for the financial meltdown and the Euro crisis, I think PSA would have already established the DS brand. It will be interesting what the new CEO will be able to achieve.
The engineering and design talent is definitely in place.
The horn control was cool on previous French cars, not sure about the lack of cupholders, though.

i drove my friend's citroën DS3 before the lack of steering feel is insane ... and it doesn't feel like you're driving a premium model

You pay good money for this and it still leaks road noise so much that you can hear it on the video.

why is there no multi function steering wheel. there is only a thing on the right which can be found in a Peugeot 206
There is. The controls are behind the wheel - you 'pull' them towards you.
+CJ P I know. it does seem an old and cheap after market system. if I wanted to but a hatchback, this feature will probably be the only reason why I would not by it. the Peugeot 206 has the exact same system. the stalk behind the steering wheel would control the stereo system
+The General Channel It may be old but I'd argue it's easier to use when on the move because you don't need to look down at the steering wheel to find the controls... you do need to do that in a lot of newer models.

It's one of the best vehicles in that class, all the German vehicles trump that market for superminis
yes but the fiesta is more german,it is designed and built in germany and it suits the european market more then the american one
Doesn't come with the C3's panoramic windscreen. Bummer.
Drove the old one as a rental for a week. Drove fine but two major annoyances, everything is cheap and flimsy and plastic. Nothing that could be metal is metal, all super-cheap flimsy plastic. Also no cupholders. This gets seriously annoying. As is typical of French manufacturers, apart from some marketing, there seems to be zero progress in this "cough" brand facelift

Yes in the UK I find this car awful aswell the Germans are the best in the market including the fiesta Which is designed and made there.

in france they drink coffe in the caffe and cold drinks in the car. You just have to become french...

I just want to occasionally grab my coke or coffee after driving through McDonald's. I drive automatic car which technically need 1 hand and 1 foot and no brain. You always gonna to drink something, that's one part of journey, like music. And good for you prostate too :)

His channel CarWow is much better the website is to you get dealers sending yours offers where as usually you have to find the good deals
so its luxury but it doesn't have leather seats, steering wheel controls, electric seats, cupholders and the arm rest is extra?!?! maybe this is me just being american, but i don't really know if this can car can really be considered "luxury".

Worst car I have ever had.. nothing but problems.
Lovely to look at and a nice drive.
Water pump gone, electrical fault and now abs pump at a cost of 1500 pounds.
The car has done less than 30k and the abs pump should not be going.

lacking of cupholders is enough to give way to fiesta st for me tough ds3 is the most fashionable I have ever seen including those super cars. really annoying. Drinking a cup of coffee is my favorite thing while on a motorway.

citroen is a citroen, badge or no badge, DS is citroen and we know the crap they are making while on strike in France. 3 Door, no cup holders, no glove box, small, poor MPG... sounds like a citroen.
