Sounds like they still have a great relationship. Good for them. She only spoke lightly about everything. Many times it’s best. Giving ppl too much puts u on the forefront to criticism.
I remember how awful people were to Tameka. Even once it was known she'd been around as a friend they still kept going. They REALLY harped on her being too old (Chili is the same age as her and even mentioned HIM being too young 😑) and the money. Then there was his mother allegedly not liking her. And so on. It was absolutely wrong how she was treated.

I think the issues with Usher’s mother is what ultimately led people to not like her. Usher and his mother were so close and when she decline to attend their wedding, people took notice of that. It also didn’t help that Usher fired his mother as his manager after they got married. Whenever someone asked Usher about that he always got so defensive it made people think that Tameka must have something to do with it.
well his mom was the problem and i think even if she and chili are about the same age chili doesn't look her age. chili was cuter harsh to say i know but that plays a part to so she suited him better.
it is always like this with celebrities if they marry someone people think aren't as attractive as the person it self.

I remember when usher first marry her my uncle showed me a picture of them and said usher wife is ugly don't she look like a man and I didn't say anything I was so disgusted a black man talking about a black woman in that matter we are the worst to each other and I'm glad Tamika pointed that out I personally think Tamika is beautiful inside and out and I wish we would stop dissing each other because people who don't look like us do it enough everyday on there platforms

Wow. I’m happy that she was blunt and said it straight that the comments that hurt the most were the people who she thought would support her. I can relate to that. Hopefully people hearing that makes them think before making a negative comment instead of a supportive one.

People hated Usher being married to Tameka. The two things I kept hearing was that she was too old for Usher and she was not pretty enough to be his wife. Some people though that if Usher was going marry someone she need to look like Chili or some supermodel. Not knowing that he was really good friends with Tameka and she was his stylist for many years. He fell in love with who she was as a person. I'm glad that they are cool though. Just co- parenting. Exactly they hated the fact that she did not fit who they envisioned Usher marrying. I loved him with Chili but it did not work out, the hate Tameka got was wrong. I am glad they are able to co parent their kids after going through a rough custody battle. I could see why that happened given how her son died and then having a close call with another child but they worked things out.

Social media does have a positive side but can be so harsh and negative at times. People need to stop speculating about folks they do not even know.
See black women say they want to be celebrated and get upset when black men go outside the race, (especially if they are what's considered successful), but we are extremely hard on each other. Its sad 😔. We cape for everyone else but ourselves then wonder why we mostly see negative imagery of us being push in mainstreams.

I’m glad Tameka is doing well these days! And is it just me, or on this new season of “The Real” does it seem like the ladies are yelling over each other more and are constantly interrupting each other before a complete sentence can be made, especially Adrianne. And the studio has an echo now, which makes their conversations louder than usual. I wish the ladies and production, would please get it together soon….
I don’t think they have an audience yet which creates an echo, because the space is more open. They are louder though, but I think it’s out of excitement and it will calm down soon. I’ve noticed these last cpl of episodes A isn’t as loud lol
We as black women love to bring each other down but the minute someone else does it’s a problem. Usher fans felt she wasn’t “pretty enough.” Who were they to say she needed to look like chili to be his girl? Really? They’re the same age so…That’s probably the main reason why people loved them together more because she looks like model…typical!
Agree 100%. I am look the complete opposite of Tameka but always supported her with Usher . This woman had her own career and was far from ugly .I commend Usher for loving different types of black women ( before current ).

He was dating chilli than she slid in . She was a stylist ..... And that caused the breakup , she slept with him while he was with her my knowledge to the story......
She didn’t slide in anywhere she was his stylist and a woman or man can slide in anywhere without that or man or woman allow it. It’s obvious he was attracted to her they probably started off as friends and a relationship developed. It takes two and him and chili could have either been broken up or going through somethings and he slid in on her.

Tameka is gorgeous! His wife Grace was ugly. Even his third wife now is no where near as pretty as Tameka. Usher’s mom was oddly jealous of Tameka and the bond her son had with Tameka. The other woman his mom can control as he isn’t as connected to the other 2.
