wow really eye opening , the wolf in sheeps clothing speaks volumes to me as a Christian these Fabián chaps sound evil. The east 17 reference to garys economics is spot on , that guys channel is odd and im 100 percent he is reading a script. Socialism is just a fancy name for theft. It is a corrupted form of the Christian ethic when it is divorced from real belief in a creator.

The Fabian Society was literally started by bored, middle class atheists who all mostly lived off income earned through capitalism, who then dedicated their lives to pushing and promoting socialism. Absolutely crazy

Fascinating piece! Thanks both. The Fabians interest me and I read quite a bit of Russell, Wells and Shaw. Later I discovered that Shaw could be cruel. I dunno about Russell or Wells. Russell met Lenin in person once and got the measure of the man; a monster. Unlike the other two Russell was not a eugenicist. In fact I do not believe he was even a Fabian; just a member of the Bloomsbury set - more cultural than political. Might be wrong here.
I know little of Keynes but did see his mathematical theory of money and he was no slouch. However, economics is still science and if the math axioms dont match reality then it is a fairytale. (Apparently there was a beautiful cosmological theory once lauded by plaudits that contained, amongst others, a formula for the size of the Universe. Someone later took the trouble of working it out, with known gravitational constants etc, and it came to a bit more than 50cm³.) Der Schein und das Sein oder l'être et le paraître.

Keynes was right in some ways. All free markets lead to Oligarchy - which kill all free and fair markets. Indeed, both oligarchy and big government fascism/socialism are the cancers which destroy market mechanisms and free/fair/efficient/effective capitalism and societies. It’s like the children’s game of monopoly. When one party becomes too strong - all others lose slowly. An awful game. Without good regulation/governmebt and timing-based initiatives, free markets implode, are abused, run out of steam and lead to disaster. Moreover, long-term societal investment in infrastructure won’t happen - or will only happen under exploitative oligarchic conditions - without some intervention/ regulation. Intelligent balance. Where is it? The pure free-market and no government model doesn’t work well in large population / developed countries. It doesn’t work well in the real world business world - due increasingly due to Oligarchy (above the law monopoly/cartels/too much wealth in too few hands/then Lucifer cults).

The peasants in Manchester picadilly are a result of bad parenting. They are the detritus that falls off capitalism's table.
