Madara and Aizen embody a very powerful concept to me:
“The brain made the weapons. Surely, it can match them!”
Just saying, this is one of my favorite episodes. The animation is so well done and my GOD the track is one of my favorites in the entire series. Hollow Dreams one of the coolest tracks Brandon Yates has ever done, you can catch me dead listening to this in my own time all the time. It's absolutely incredible. I'd love to see you do reactions to the most popular DB tracks.
Aizen literally tricked someone with his illussion who could see every possible future and choose which future he wants.
He's also literally immortal.

I recommend reading, Kubo art is what defined him as a mangaka, so the manga is the way to go. At least in my opinion.
Well the only bad thing about that is that you're not supposed to know Aizen is the villain. When I read Bleach for the first time I was legit caught by surprise by the twist, I really wanted to find out who killed Aizen. But we were all under the illusion the whole time.
You’ll definitely be hearing many different opinions on who should have won this. Even though I personally think Aizen should win, this battle can’t be taken seriously because regardless of who actually would win since they got A LOT of information wrong during the analysis.
@@Sachi10007 That’s largely due to how he writes the series, preferring to leave much to the readers’ interpretation. I don’t necessarily think that’s a bad thing though, especially since even though a lot of people don’t fully understand the story and themes within it, many people can, and it’s one of the things that makes Bleach stand out from other series. In this case, we really should give Kubo some slack because I highly doubt it was his intention to ever start any sort of wars within the anime/manga community about whether a character from this series can beat a character another series or something like that.
@@Sachi10007 But some of the speculative assumptions they made were answered in the each novels, which did exist before this Death Battle was made. Like, if they want to scale Aizen to the Soul King, at least get the size of the Bleachverse right.

That means that, bare minimum, each realm is the size of multiple solar systems

@@Rippen_Crippen It's not really inconsistent, Kubo simply didn't delve into that until later on because it wasn't relevant to the story. Everybody just headcanons everything like it's fact, then never goes back to see where Kubo is on his world building.
Madara Vs Aizen is the equivalent of called an anime a cartoon or called any Shounen anime mid with toxicity.

Bleach is in my top 3 and sometimes I have it at 1 (depends on how my opinion changes). But holy shit those people must have only seen Bleach and nothing else. There’s lots of other fanbases like that when you tell them you think one thing is better than the other. For example Breaking Bad fansboys gets extremely emotional when I try to tell them I think The Sopranos is a way better show. But they don’t even want to debate, they just want to cry.

So DB gives the "Naruto" fanbase it's first win in almost two years - after much contention from the loses of Kakashi, Rock Lee and also Sasuke before hand - and now has to deal with backlash from the "Bleach" fanbase....There's no pleasing Anime fans, it seems (coming from someone who's seen his fair share).

Not necessarily saying madara is stronger but he had abilities that could counter all the hax shit aizen threw. That said if madara and aizen were to fight different animes. More wins would go to aizen. He is just broken that way
@@fangiomartinez4532 The way I see it, Madara really has no counter to Aizen. Death battle got one of the truthseeker orb's abilities wrong. The truthseeker orb doesn't negate regeneration or destroy in spiritual level. It negates ninjutsu, and the reanimation jutsu's main function which is to basically summon immortal bodies is the one being negated. Also, when it comes to genjutsu, Aizen can just snap out of it using the hogyoku.

Though the tricky thing with that is that he would have to know he is in an illusion to counter it. Rinnegan and sharingan counter his zanpakto though and just about all his kido. No going around that lol it's kinda like if asta from black clover fought meliodas from seven deadly sins. I would say that meliodas is stronger physically and maybe faster as well. But he would lose that match up not because asta is stronger but simply his antimagic counter meliodas strongest techniques and he could do nothing about it. Now if asta and meliodas fought different anime characters I would say meliodas would win more then asta. But them fighting against each other asta takes it. To me it's kinda the same with madara and aizen
The 3rd Strongest Illusion Technique in Naruto is Tsukoyomi which Itachi used.
The 2nd is literally unconscious mind control(those who are in it can't break out ever even if the caster is dead) this can only be used every 10 years and the owner of this is Itachi's friend.
The Strongest is what Madara used to enslave the world essentially just the 3rd but those in it can't break out unless they have the same "eye level" as the caster... If I recall they had to defeat a God to undo it.
Well, no, they undid it by using the Rinnegan in combination with the chakra of all the Tailed Beasts. After they beat Kaguya, the Infinite Tsukuyomi was still going, it wasn't undone until Naruto and Sasuke beat each other, at which point they also confirmed that anyone possessing the Rinnegan can undo the Infinite Tsukuyomi if they have enough of the various Bijuu's chakra, hence why Sasuke would've been able to do it by himself, since he had all of the Bijuu trapped in miniature moons from when he used Indra's Arrow, as Sasuke confirmed when he told Naruto to implant his Rinnegan.

Naruto was still susceptible to it, even with his Six Paths Sage Mode, the only reason he wasn't was because he was shielded by Sasuke's Susanoo, which was able to shield him because he had a Rinnegan. Sasuke awoke the Rinnegan because of Hagoromo's Six Paths chakra, but that's not the requirement, since, again, Naruto was still at risk of being put under, even with SPSM, and it's been outright stated in the show. If you're not sure about something, check the source material before correcting people.

True but Madara isn’t the only one. In fact his distant relative Sasuke is also a reincarnation of the exact same demigod Indra. Also Madara’s friend Hashirama and his distant relative Naruto are both reincarnations of Indra’s brother Asura.
Side note: I say distant relative because while Madara and Sasuke are both Uchiha we don’t know how they’re related, Naruto however is a bit more complicated, while Hashirama was of the Senju clan he married Mito of the Uzumaki clan which Naruto is part of because of his mother Kushina but again we have no confirmation how they’re related.
Sasuke and Naruto are in no conventional way related to Madara and Hashirama.
Sasuke and Madara share the same clan, but they have no close blood ties what so ever.
Mito and Kushina also share the same clan, however they do not share any close blood ties either, so there's no real connection between Hashirama and Naruto. Clans in Naruto are very large collections of people, it's not like the Uchiha clan is all like cousins and siblings and stuff. Itachi is in no way related to Izumi, so had things been different and they'd married incest would not be a thing. They share ORIGINS, not blood relations.
@@haku8135 I know that. It’s why I said *possible* relative. I do not actually believe they’re related but some people do so I wanted to make that clear. Even then it would be a very distant relation so it’s a moot point either way. I can see why people would as there are people with confirmed blood relation bearing resemblance to those who don’t like Tsunade’s brother Nawaki resembling Naruto. I will edit to clarify this if it helps.
All Uchiha and Uzamaki are related with each other. Kind of the point of a clan. The Senju and Uzamaki are closely related having similar levels of spiritual power. So the sage of 6 paths has 3 living descendant lines since all stem from him. So they're all related at some point but we know Naruto isn't related to Hashirama since his parents are an Uzamaki mother and Namakazi father where as Hashirama is a Senju with only 1 other family member confirmed being a granddaughter who does not have children.
But yes all 3 clans are technically related since they all are branches from the same tree.

@@calebgoodman2076 I mean it's technically possible Sasuke is related to Madara and Naruto is related to Hashirama through some other kids not mentioned or whatever but you would think if you knew your grandfather or great grandfather was Madara or Hashirama you would bring that up more often. Tsunade is the granddaughter of Hashirama and we know that cause it was said in 1 of the first scenes with her in it. She was proud of that.
A lot of us disagreed with the results. Aizen in reality could have healed (he healed from disintegration by Ichimaru). They also did not show him at full power.

This honestly was one of the few death battles were the result disappointed because I love Aizen and because the argumentation for Madara's win is flawed:
First, it is stated that Aizen can be caught in illusions but the Aizen who got caught in an illusion was an illusion himself. Meaning, Aizen just let his illusion be caught in another illusion because he chose to let it happen.
Second, Aizen is immortal which was the only reason he wasn't killed in Bleach. The only being capable of killing Aizen in Bleach would be a huge spoiler and Madara doesn't have nearly enough power to acomplish this.
But the visuals were amazing none the less.
I have some counters.
The illusion argument is kinda tricky but Bleach characters have never been known to have any illusion resistance. Not even Yhwach had it. So I think if you can argue Madara illusions are stronger then he should be able to put Aizen in a genjutsu, especially since sharingan can bypass resistance depending on power. Given that Aizen’s big thing is controlling all five senses it is actually pretty easy to argue Madara being stronger in that department. Madara illusions effected way more than just the senses and would overpower Aizens hypnosis.
And using the immortal argument isn’t gonna save him either. Madara was also branded immortal in ten tails form and could regen from any and all wounds just like Aizen. And Madara has something like the Hogyoku in the form of izanagi and Izanami which manipulation of reality that could directly counter the hogyoku. And the power to kill Aizen was calculated to be 3x planetary which Madara could definitely reach. And TSO can kill beings like Aizen. The spiritual beings in Naruto are immortal and can’t die. The only ability that effected them was the TSO. And remember that normal Abilities are spiritual thanks to Chakra being spiritual in nature so claiming spiritual attacks is not enough either. And Aizen has never had his actual spirit itself wiped. Even the Mugestsu on cut him in half. People just assume disintegration despite we never see that happen and specifically see him recovering half his body.

Even if you ignore the Itachi novel that literally states that you don’t need chakra, Aizen has spiritual energy running through his body just like Madara and would be effected by it. Chakra is spiritual bro. It’s literally established at the very beginning of the story.

Alright, this is a fight quite controversial to some, mostly due of with the fallacies, assumptions, misinformation and convenience to get the result as it is, for clarification madara was given far more do to DB using databook and novels in his analysis , all of while not giving the same treatment to Aizen/bleach
-They really lowballed the soul king to planetary, i dont really have to expand on this point, its not hard to find the countless of times and references to bleach worlds are referred to as universes(Garganta, Dangai,the realms having their own stars/galaxies). If they were gonna scale aizen to the soul king (something i didnt expect) they could have at least done it right. Also tree being greater than soul king who at worse made the three world is ridiculous since it the soul king that keep the three worlds[Universes] (yet again a lowball if we still say that soul king is planetary) form vanishing, to say otherwise is a blatant disregard to Bleach cosmology
-Alright, Having to argue why sharingan does not counter kyoka, they operate completely different. sharingan counters genjutsu, kyoka does not insert energy, kyoka hypnotizes the soul itself, sharingan does not work as it help the user determine that they’re in an illusion, which help breaking genjustsu-based one, which Aizen isn’t. Kyoka Suigetsu is not a genjutsu, it is produced and used a power. All abilities in Bleach effect the Soul directly, meaning that Madara couldn't see out of it even if he wanted to, because it doesn't work as the way Sharingans see through it. Remember, Kyoka is hypnosis, not illusions, and it is claimed numerous times that you can't break out of it even if you knew about it already. And as if they could do anything to it either. I have no reason to believe that Madara to even manage to break out of it as none of it works as they way they describe. Some would argue that Madara sage mode sixth sense would be enough to counter Kyoka Suigetsu however it also effect sense of power and time making any of the sixth sense that Madara would have in sage mode useless.
-"Aizen does not have resistance mental illusions" while using the clip of him breaking out of a mental illusion. Also completely seem to forget hogyoku doesnt just regenerate aizen, it adapts, it nullifies what previously affected it, In Bleach CFYW canon novel it been stated that soul reaper can escape illusion if you have a greater reiatsu than the illusionist, and to put it to perception Yamamoto has (in the lowball) planetary reiatsu and Aizen was able to hypnosis him. Furthermore, the Hogyoku evolution give Aizen greater sense of Reiatsu so madara can’t even get strong enough to overpower Aizen reiatsu. Even if we do make Aizen relative to Madara Genjustu have many flaw that Aizen can break through by the flaws genjustu have, all of which isn’t present in Kyoka Suigetsu
-"Madara sheer arsenal kept Aizen on his back foot" Yet Aizen knows all 99 Kido, 99 bakudo, multiple inventions, and multiple different soul reaper and hollow techniques. Meaning Aizen could definitely keep up with Madara in the Flexibility department if he really wanted to. Even if we discount that, he still has a kido that absorbs everything around it to create a massive explosion. Being Hado 99. Expect they forgot what it does and how it works clearly because the animation didnt even potray it correctly.
-"madara can completely annihilate spiritual beings on a molecular and aizen is one" basic zanpakuto (literally the cut spirit with it, it’s in the name) already has this effect and destroy things on a spiritual scale and they do that on a daily basic, every single attack in bleach directly effects spirits, they’re made to cleanse hollows.
-"preventing them from regenerating" Gin bankai is a poison that prevents regeneration which he use to hit Aizen with that and it didnt work (he came back by desire alone by Hogyoku[that work as a second spirit for Aizen]).Even if we can try to dispute this as lesser to TSO he survive Quincy arrows, yamamoto shikai that reduces things to ash, even when he was atomize by Ichigo, which only lead to him reaching a transcendence state that overall nullified all his zanpakuto weakness.
~also the Truth Seeking orbs stop Jutsu not regeneration even if we do say allow it even have to admit Sakura survive a truth seeking orb and she not even close to Aizen Regen
~ Kido/Hado are not created from Reiryoku, it is powered by it. Hado is made from Reishi, because the Quincy can absorb them. If you equalized Reiryoku with Chakra in the first place, there is no way Madara could absorb Hado/Kido because they are not reiryoku. (Reiryoku powers them, not what they are made from). TSO has no chance of negating Kido/Hado because they are natural energy like Senjutsu, not spiritual energy like Ninjutsu/Chakra/Reiryoku.
~Death Battle state that because that Unohana as able to notice something was up with Aizen body, that Madara would be able to break Aizen illusion, while omitting Unohana is a over 1000 years old Shinigami, that has over 1000 years experience heal people, she did a multi-hours autopsy on Aizen “corpse” and only concluded it was a fake body but had no suspicion that she was under an Illusion until Aizen released her, it also entirely possible that Aizen made the body was fake that way Unohana just to find out due to him predicting the timing of her arrival.
~ There is also a contradicts an important point they made in Obi Wan vs Kakashi.
In that they claimed that Kakashi couldn’t copy Obi Wans abilities because the Force and Chakra were different power systems.
But in this episode they claimed Madara could break out of Aizens Complete Hypnosis because he can break out of Genjutsu, despite the fact that they work differently and are from different power systems (Chakra and Reiatsu have different properties and shouldn’t be compared). It’s a no limit fallacy that isn’t supported in Naruto because he couldn’t absorb some of the ninjutsu used against him
There are primarily 4 main factors they ignored
1.) Experience- Madara lived until his 80s or 90s and over 30 of which were in hiding and isolation. Aizen was an active captain of soul Society for 100 years, and likely spent decades climbing the ranks. Meaning Aizen likely has double if not triple madara’s fighting Experience. If there’s stats were so close this should play a small but notable factor.
2.) Intelligence- Madara’s original completed plan how to change last minute thanks to Obito not reviving him immediately and wanting the Tentails all to himself. All the while he was technically be manipulated by Zetsu and Kaguya. Aizen meanwhile Master plan was going a lot smoother until the end, and Aizen was never being manipulated. On top of all that Aizen is also a fantastic scientist, and Madara is not. Meaning Aizen would have some degree of a intelligence advantage.
3.) Hogyoku- that thing can literally allow Aizen to heal from practically nothing, even when it wasn’t attached to him. (This is a greater healing power then Madara by the way). This device is also giving Aizen A constant power up, meaning Aizen would have eventually surpassed Madara by a great margin during their fight. Sure his connection to it might not be a strong by the end of the series, but he should still have some connection to it. Hence why he became stronger when stuck in a chair, and why soul Society wasn’t able to kill him when he was captured.
4.) Aizen was confident that his spiritual energy alone could have reached The soul Kings Palace and drag it down to a reasonable traveling distance. Keep in mind by their calculations ichigo was 2.5 Times the speed of light and took him two days to reach soul Society, from the royal palace. The potential range and force Aizen where to have exerted without those seals is absolutely insane.

The short version is Chakra is not Reishi, Aizen's abilities directly impact the soul while Madara's impact the flow of energy in the body (Chakra,) the Truth Seeking Orbs probably don't damage the soul but even if they did that just puts them on par with a standard Zanpakuto which couldn't kill Aizen, nobody has ever managed to break Aizen's illusions unless he let them and both he and most other Soul Reapers have centuries of experience and, finally, the Hogyoku was still connected to Aizen and would keep powering Aizen up until he overwhelmed Madara anyways.
Really, just the bit about the Zanpakuto would seal Madara's fate since it would mean he can't even hurt Aizen and the fact Aizen's abilities impact the soul directly means Madara's Sharingan really can't help against Kyoka Suigetsu.

This is another one people complain about having botched research, but since I know nothing about Bleach or barely anything about Naruto I've got nothing to say on this. These do seem like difficult characters to analyze though, so I don't blame the DB crew that much.

For me it was “I know Aizen should win, so let’s see if DB is shilling again.”
aizen doesnt even need the hogiyoku to actually defeat madara since he could just in theory use his overwhealming speed and power difference and kiyoka suigetsu to win

The best thing Aizen had at his disposal was his illusions, which Naruto character learn to deal with at school. So i fail to see how Aizen should have won.

Almost all of the time I agree with the outcome but this was one of the few times I disagreed with them. Ngl Aizen should've won and it seems like more than half the death battle community agreed that the outcome was wrong.

As a big fan of Naruto and Bleach, this is easily the one of the worst Death Battles imo. They got so much wrong doing the analysis, but more then that it's just completely absurd that they would say Aizen loses over some tiny technically that can't even reasonably be assumed to be true. Madara is ridiculous but Aizen is in an entire league of his own. The man almost destroyed a city flying miles above the rest of the world in the sky by just existing, while he was completely immobile in a chair that completely restrained his powers. That's also why the chair is a meme in the Bleach community.

(Preface i havent watched naruto so i cant speak about madara in any capacity) I personally think aizen should have won since they left a few things out of his explanation:
Aizen is a kido master meaning he can use at least a vast majority of hado and kido (so he shouldn't have been overwhelmed with madara's abilities) even the most powerful ones without an incantation.
Kurohitsugi may be powerful but it is hado 90 which is nine levels below goyrutenmetsu making it much more powerful.
The hogyoku is actual bullshit because it makes the users deepest desires real meaning it can do LITERALLY ANYTHING And stupid amounts of immortality there was no way found to kill him(this was after ichigo used mugetsu which he lived being cut clean in 2, and he was imprisoned in the soul society to which they tried but failed to kill him). And aizen DID NOT make it urahara kisuke did.
And lastly i have no idea why they used the karakura town invasion arc version and not the thousand year blood war arc(tybw for short) because tybw aizen is stronger.
I would love to speak about his complete hypnosis and how broken it is but then i run the risk of arguing against a character whose abilities i dont know in detail about.

I feel like this was made by people who haven't even watched Naruto, and especially bleach. I think Madara's Tree being 1Yotaton is complete garbage, don't know what 5year old did the math for that, but its not even an actual attack at all, and Aizen's 0.14 or something "Yotaton" Attack is actually an attack and it can be spammed. Plus why'd they show Aizen talking like 3 times and out of that, 2 times were him laughing. He literally never does that. He literally never like actually laughs out loud in the show not even once. Plus the battle was a lot underwhelming than I thought it would be. I've only watched Jiraiya vs Master Roshi and Kakashi vs ObiWan till now even though I stopped watching anime a while ago, but those fight sequences were way better. The explanation for the outcome is reasonable though.

they make Madaras plan sound more complicated then it really is the Rinnegan has the power to bring the dead back to life but the user dies in the process so Before he Died Madara made sure they were given to a baby who would then grow up and resurrect him after laying the groundwork for his grand plan by collecting all the tailed beasts
its never stated that the caster of that jutsu dies, matter of fact obito revived madara and didn't die. ps: nagato died because of low chakra levels. konan said this and its known from the very beginning that in naruto he who depletes his chakra dies.

Aizen wasn’t abandoned by the hogyoku he let himself get sealed as no joke losing was a part of Aizen’s plan as he wanted two contradicting things he wanted to be god and fix everything while he also wanted companionship as he always felt alone this is explained by ichigo and shows that Aizen let himself be sealed as deep down he really wanted to lose and the hogyoku let him lose.

Aizen let himself lose this was stated by Ichigo at the end of their fight and how Aizen felt alone as he had no equal. They greatly messed up Aizen’s character they left out his loneliness his pity and mercy towards Tosen and his desire for companionship.
The Final getsuga tensho eclipsed everything in the verse at the time which would include the Soul King who is multi planetary at the low end just by existing, the Mimihagi which could preform the same feat as the soul king for a short amount of time, full power Bankai Yamamoto who is casually planetary just with his existence, Ichibei who by lore is scalled to or above Yama, Pernida, Gerard, and the unnamed hollow zanpakuto. Mugetsu eclipses all of these including Aizen and he just walks it off and just becomes stronger and if we use Aizen’s pseudoscience explanation of the technique it was a dimensional tier above him and he was fine.
Lastly for now let’s talk about Yhwach who they might as well of not mentioned in the video. He is relative to bankai Yama in base, he absorbs the casual multiplamitary soul king the multi planetary mimihagi Gerard’s captain+ powers and a portion of ichigo’s powers on the low ball he is casually multi planetary with just his existence and Aizen was capable of out powering him and out haxing him at times. Aizen resisted soul absorption from Yhwach who’s whole power set revolves around soul manipulation and anti hax.
I’m not going to say Aizen should win I don’t concretely know how high Madara can scale and it’s not fully agreed how high to scale Aizen but I will say they greatly misrepresented his powers and character.

There are many flaws with this deathbattle and the research is very questionable. By the time this was made, Kubo already started releasing bleach novels. The most relevant ones, "Bleach: Can't Fear Your Own World" (co-written primarily by Ryougo Narita) contradicts many of the speculations (Soul King is indeed universal, not planetary) made by death battle-the writers of which obviously didn't know about its existence. Also, the idea that Aizen doesn't have any attacks that can damage souls is laughable in its very premise.
Other people are going to argue about the Hogyoku and its immortality, which is also valid, but it's meh at this point. That being said, there seems to be a huge misunderstanding slashing his first was impatient of how the truth-seeking orbs work. They can't actually directly attack souls.
While most of a Shinigami`s moves can *affect' the soul, they dont actually destroy them. The whole point of Shinigami is to protect the souls. And the orbs outright deleted Minato`s arms. Even when his soul was released from the Edo Tensei, his soul was outright missing its arms. If the orbs could not directly attack souls then Minato`s soul would still have its arms.

I wasn't very surprised by the result. When you have a power that literally lets you see through an illusion, and your opponent's main power is illusions, not really a shock.
Kyoku sugetsu is not a mere illusion it takes control of the brain plus death battle has a lot of wrong winners like ichigo should of beat naruto and aizen should of beat Madara and they didn't even use TYBW aizen TYBW could solo the naruto verse with one swing of his sword same with ichigo hell rukia who's not even top 10 in bleach could solo

Aizens illusion was noticed but never breaked, plus they don't target the mind but they target all 5 sense with make them almost reality unlike genjutsu, and sharengan users can break illusion that are only seen through eyes, they won't even know its illusion when aizen does it.
They said since both power system are just spirit energy so madara was able to absorb aizens attack, but he can't absorb them because reiatsu works completely differently then Chakra and they are very different even if they seem similar

Aizen’s Hogyoku isn’t some simple healing factor or strengthener. It is an omnipotent wish-granting device that responds to the desires of its user. So long as Aizen doesn’t want to die, he can’t. Even if healing were somehow negated, the hogyoku would just do it anyway or make it so he was never hurt to begin with. Nothing in the Soul Society’s repertoire of OP bullshit, including the soul-killing weapons (essentially everything they had) could kill him, so they just locked him away. Madara doesn’t have a way to do it either.
Genjutsu by definition works by manipulating the chakra in a person’s brain. Not even the most advanced genjutsu in the series is capable of working on something with no chakra whatsoever, like Aizen. On a similar note, the Sharingan allows someone to see disturbances in their chakra network and power through them, which only counteracts genjutsu. The Sharingan can’t prevent or fight against hyposis that does not involve chakra in any capacity, like Aizen’s. Locking away the other party in their own mind is a win condition available only to Aizen.
Madara’s Truth Seeking Orbs cannot negate healing factors or destroy souls, as Sakura literally proves. They disrupt chakra and only interfered with the reanimation jutsu under that basis.
So ya, this is what the arguments on the official video eventually came to. The ones that didn’t simply run away from the discussion just clung to the disproven claims regarding TSO and the Sharingan.

Madara has several counters to the hogyoku. He can use genjutsu which would work given that Aizen is made of spiritual energy and Genjutsu messes with that. Doesn’t matter anyway since the Itachi novel proves you don’t need chakra anyway. So Madara could use a Genjutsu which would change his thinking pattern and also confuse the hogykou into giving Aizen advantages that he doesn’t actually need. Remember that Aizen is now existing in an illusionary universe. And if you don’t want to buy that then Madara has Izanagi which can do the same thing as hogyoku only it’s far more controlled and all of his clones can use it as well.
TSO does destroy the soul. Basically in Naruto there is a thing called the ying yang release. This means that the TSO doesn’t have the soul destroying properties unless it’s activated. And even if you assume it was activated, Sakura should scale somewhat to Tsunade who is literally capable of repairing ones spirit.
Aizen has never survived complete spiritual annihilation. Yamamoto never destroyed his spirit, only his body which is not the same as his spirit. And Mugestsu only cut him in half. There is no proof of spiritual eraser either.

Aizen is underpowered here and the way he dies makes no sense.
Gotta love that even thought Aizen is a Kido Master, Death Battle only gave him access to a handful of Kidos instead of all of them.
Outside of season-enders like the OG Goku v. Superman, Death Battle only really goes for the most famous and recognizable parts of a character's kit to save on time and budget. It's also why characters usually cycle through their most well-known forms, rather than either using all of them or skipping straight to the last one. This is a tri-weekly web show.

Also like many people here have pointed out Aizen is literally immortal to the same level as Goku black from the previous death battle(Zamasu is a poorly done version of Aizen) so the idea that madara just kills him is insanely underestimating him
