The price of peace is expensive. Let them fight it all out so peace will always be their topmost priority not power. Its a lesson the continent has to learn by itself.

MUSLIM VS MUSLIM
Sandra and team, thank you for keeping this horrific tragedy in the forefront of our minds. It should not be ignored. And thank you for the great work you are doing with the start here series, always well done and produced. Great reporting, Sandra.
The plight of the people is absolutely heartbreaking.
71 children in an orphanage died of hunger. There are no words to describe that cruelty. I pray for each of their souls.
I had no idea. Thanks for explaining this. I will keep them in my prayers.
Been wondering how far with the war. So unfortunate, hope they can resolve it ASAP. Thanks for the update Sandy.
My Sudanese brothers are becoming like my country somalia, they should stop the war before it goes out of hand, I am sad how the revolution I support ended in this way.
It’s 2 men that basically built a cult of people with nothing to lose. It’ll never stop
The west has a hidden hand
Thank you for such excellent coverage of this highly under covered topic.
To all warring parties, please give peace a chance. Sudan is bigger than us all. Sudan is bleeding - let's always talk-greetings from an American.

May there be peace in Sudan. Africans must unite❤
Africans can't even unite within their own country....and the fact that they hire Wagner for "security" shows how ludicrous their priorities are. Wagner are the bringer of death, torture and destruction, not security.
Have respect for Africans differences. Stop thinking all black people are the same. They are not
I say get rid of the black population who are calling themselves Arabs, real Arabs will never accept blacks as Arabs not now, not ever, those types of black Arabs are a danger to other Africans as they are puppet's of the north African Arabs.
Yes, but those differences are of little consequence to the enemies of all Black people.
Non-Black forces exploit these differences for their benefit to the extent they matter at all.
Black solidarity is not an attempt to flatten or homogenize the Black experience - it is simply the only path to liberation for all Black people on the continent and throughout the diaspora.
Africa can achieve unity without uniformity. A failure to do so will only serve the status quo.

@@masonsharrison Do Sudanese Arabs (70% of the population of Sudan) identify as Black?
Sudan has witnessed many political coups. The country has also been at the centre of geopolitics owing to its geographical location. It borders the Red Sea where the US, UK fears the potential of a Russian base on Red Sea. Many major geopolitical powers, including Russia, the US, Saudi Arabia,Egypt,Qatar, and the UAE, have been trying to get influence over Sudan. Sudan’s strategic location and agricultural wealth have even attracted regional players.
The UAE and Saudi managed to gain influence over Sudan by forming a ‘Quad’ alliance with the US and Britain.
The UAE and Saudi Arabia took advantage of the revolutionary uprising of 2018-19 to bring Sudan under their influence. During the uprising, these two nations supported the Army and Paramilitary under the guise of ‘stability’, which resulted in replacement of Al Bashir as a ruler. UAE injected about $7 billion in Sudan’s economy.
Both the UAE and Saudi initially had suspicion over Bashir’s intention as he was balancing ties with the UAE, Saudi and Qatar, Tehran. He used to receive subsidies from the UAE and loans from Qatar. Later, the UAE realised this and halted fuel shipments to Sudan which resulted in shortage of foreign exchange, landing the country in an economic turmoil. Bashir cut subsidies on bread, followed by demonstrations, which later became the Sudanese revolution.
During the revolution, Egypt offered exile to Bashir in Saudi Arabia, but he refused, after which three countries (Egypt, UAE, Saudi) reportedly reached out to Abdelfattah Al-Burhan - a military general who had a great equation with three nations and served in Saudi-led forces in Yemen - and Hemedti, the head of Paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), for the coup.
A few days later, forces led by Burhan and Hemedti overthrew dictator ruler Bashir and installed the Transitional Military Council (TMC).
A power-sharing agreement was signed and Burhan, the head of the TMC, was made the head of the sovereignty council and de facto head for the next 21 months, while Hemedti became the deputy head of the council.
However, now Burhan’s Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and Hemedti’s RSF are battling for supremacy, leading to the violence in Sudan.
Good on you for keeping us posted. Been wondering what's going on there...

Me too great report
As a Somali from Somalia who just recovered from a big civil war, I pray to Allah that Allah bless Sudan with peace and prosperity. Aamiin. It’s really sad to see two men destroying the country
We never recovered. We are still killing each other and blowing each other up. There is armed conflict in every region of Somalia today, what recovery????? Is this state good enough where 20% of the country is controlled by a Terrorist group? These lies based mindset is damaging and frankly speaking Somalia is hopeless because of how distorted our self awareness is and how defeatist our mindset has become.
Somalia should learn from Afghanistan. Danad & USA personnel is not working. No foreigner can solve problems of a country they are not from. It's like calling your neighbor to come solve your problems in your house. Learn from Afghanistan, they faced ussr and broken them. Then for more than 20 years they faced 🇺🇸,nato & the world. Today they are free and have their honor. Let's see what all these foreign countries like AU achieve for somalia what somali people couldn't achieve themselves. Laughable. Ajanabi jecela the Somali people of today.

Why dont you like Aljazeera?
@@piusokwu3560I used to be an avid viewer of Al Jazeera to a point that I could even identify the reporter who hid his identity during the Arab Spring protests in Egypt just from his voice and it was BEFORE they started to be the "voice of the global south" and all other bull$#!t took precedence ... Their editorial and reporting team has been replaced to a large extent and their focus on the African continent seems to have taken precedence over the other six ... BUT they still have some GREAT programs like Counting The Cost and Listening Post and this so I now mostly watch them in CZcams ... So yeah to sum it up : $#!t focus on diverse events around the world that they were famous for, $#!t reporting and equally bull$#!t editorial policy led to the demise of a much loved news channel.
And I didn't include the (dis)information campaign hub that it has become in some cases when it comes to the news presented in the Arabic and the English channels ...
@@piusokwu3560 their English channel is decent enough, but their Arabic content is highly biased and weaponised against certain countries and regimes. They are essentially part of the propaganda arm of the Qatari government and are highly critical of many leaders, policies and regimes while turning a complete blind eye to the negatices of Qatari affairs.

This is what news should look like. Great journalism, great report. Thanks. To bad American new doesn't know how to do this anymore.
Good report overall but it doesn't shed light on the foreign interests and RSF's foreign relationships. For instance, EU built a relationship with RSF in hopes of controlling and policing illegal immigration through North Africa. Wagner has a relationship with RSF benefiting from gold mining in Darfur. UAE benefited from RSF fighting in Yemen and has other economical & political interests in the region.
I'm also interested in who is finding this war and what will they benefit?

A good tree bears good fruit and a bad tree bears bad fruit. A religion of peace should bear peaceful fruits.
There cannot be two armies in one country. Civilians always suffer the mistakes of leaders
As an African American person who's partially Native American, I can tell you how this will end for the true Owners of Susdan, and I'm talking about how it will end for the black African Sudanese people. If the Sudanese don't fight those Arabs with everything that they have in their hearts, then they will lose their entire country to the Arabs. This is how Vietnamese forced the USA to leave Vietnam. Even though the US is a Super power and Vietnam was a just a small poor country but the Vietnamese fought that war from their hearts because it is their country so they where able to win the war against the Worlds number one super power. Although Vietnamese did receive help from China and Russia, the Vietnamese still had to fight their own war. Anyway, the black Sudanese had better figure it out quickly if they don't want to spend the next 400 years in slavery like African Americans did or lose their whole country like what happened to native Americans. Bring the fight to the Arab's front door and stop running from them because Sudan belongs to the Sudanese people and not those Arabs. Expel the Arabs from your country by any means necessary because they hate you, and they want to take over your whole entire country. I know that the Arab invaders in Sudan are getting help from other rich Muslim Arabs countries, but you Sudanese people had better do something before it's too late. Really don't want to see you guys losing your country to those Arab invaders.

Good question. I might ask her directly.
It is not true that the people of Sudan say this is not their war. As a matter of fact, Sudanese people are overwhelmingly on the side of the army as they see this war as the battle of dignity. You can easily verify this on the ground.
Another thing that is left out of this truncated account of the raging war in my beloved country is the role of United Emirates Arabs role in supporting the Janjaweed forces.
Some exceptional journalism here. I am usually critical of Al Jazeera, but not today.
Perhaps some kind of agricultural hub should be created in a space where Sudanese refugees can safely exist. Since there are no responsible parties left in Khartoum, it I think it will be up to the world as a collective. So how do we go about caring for and perhaps liberating these people? Any input helps

The tragic thing is that, the rest of the world is forcing Africans to run a modern day structure of a country with institutions which is something that does not align with the way we live. The 54 African countries have either collapsed or are on the verge of a collapse. The world should leave Africans alone, let them run their villages along tribal settings and regress to how they lived hundreds of years ago. These endless wars in africa is a struggle to go back to how we lived before the coming of the colonialists.
