This video is the lecture for NS292 ENav on Friday March 20th. It is an introduction to ARPA including acquiring targets manually, adjusting vectors, target data, auto acquire zones, past positions, trial maneuver, CPA limits and settings.

Very good video but just saying "That's what those vessels are doing" doesn't help much, is that what they're steering? Is that what they're autopilot heading is set to? If the vessel is heading south, how will it have a CPA of 0 and be heading towards me.. ?

Thanks for your feedback on the video. In response to your question about practice opportunities, some schools do offer online classes for radar and ARPA but you have to enroll. I'm not aware of any free options. You can also purchase software that you can install on your own PC that emulates a Radar. I found websites for both options online.

Sorry. The simulator in this video is at my Maritime school. Transas does have an online version but I think it is very very expensive. Good luck

If the target changes course then you need to start over again after the new steady state is established (both you and target not changing course and speed). Then you need to plot the target 2 times and then plot a new Mx. Hopefully visibility is good and you can see theie aspect change by looking out the window and seeing also their bearing change as a result of their new course

Hmm , there is definitely audio. I think it is something on your end. Are you presenting in person and connecting your laptop to a projector or are you presenting by zoom?
