කිරි ආහාර පූජාව෴ Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. 28.12.2023

This special offering was organised on 28.12.2023, at Ruwanweli Maha Chedi, Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka
Anuradhapura is the first Kingdom of Sri Lanka. It is in North Central province. Emperor Dharmasoka in India, propagated Buddhism to Sri Lanka at the reign of King Devanampiyatissa in Sri Lanka.
Before, 2300 years ago, the son of Emperor Dharmasoka, monk, Arhant Mahinda Thero, brought the message of Buddhism to Sri Lanka.
Since then, Sri Lanka has been a Buddhist country.
Later, a grandson of King Devanampiyatissa, King Dutugamunu, defeated South Indian invaders and united the country.
The king decided to build Ruwanweli Maha Chedi and rejoice in merit to the people who helped to win this war.
According to Pitaka and other historical written explanations, Ruwanweli Maha Chedi, Naga Loka Chedi, and Silumina Chedi in heaven Thvatimsa' are in the same line.
Ruwanweli Maha Chedi is the only place with the largest quantity of relic bones of Gautama Buddha enshrined in the whole universe
Buddhists from all over the world, visit his unique place to show their respect and offerings to Gautama Buddha.
This incident is, a lay devotee from Canada visits Ruwanweli Maha Chedi with her Sri Lankan relatives and neighbours to offer a special rice cooked using milk and offering it to Ruwanweli Maha Chedi, with the thought she offered it to Lord Buddha.
