    I love the way you explain who you cut and not just what cards could be good additions. Thx !

      I like to try and explain my thought process behind the choices. Magic is a complicated enough game without just tossing out card names and being like, "Good luck figuring it out!"

    Floriferous vinewall is still in the decklist when you follow the link. I haven't figured out what is missing because of its inclusion
    Edit: Your posted decklist, is missing, Nael, Avizoa Aeronaut.

      Fixed. Thanks for the heads up. Archidekt can time out from time to time and not save changes so it might have happened there.

    I see a few people talking about putting these tribal forward cards in however I'm not so sure they are a good idea. The everything counters do nothing if Omo isn't around so after a few pieces of removal they just end up as dead cards. I like the idea behind it but your opponents only have to remove Omo and it shuts down that whole strategy

    • @twilightscallmtg
      @twilightscallmtg  Před měsícem

      I'm honestly not sure if that's how the counters work. You could be right, but then the land strategy would be stopped as well. If they rule that the counters are what grants the typing however, it won't matter. I just can't find any kind of official ruling on how they work atm, just reddit conjecture.

      @@twilightscallmtg The text on Omo states that the counters give those abilities. Without her on the battlefield they still have the everything counters but they don't mean anything as it's her text box that defines what they do and would only be in effect when she's in play. Think of it like Kodama of the west tree, he says that modified creatures you control have trample. If he's not on the battlefield the creatures can still have counters of any type but they won't have trample because his effect isn't present on the battlefield. He gives the trample because of those counters or modifications, the same as Omo is giving the lands all land types and the creatures all creature types.
      So yeah if your group plays a lot of targeted removal it can end up being pretty dead which is why I think I'm going to have to run more protection in my build. Even something like Saryth which will give Omo hexproof but can also be used to Untap a land which can work well with cloud posts etc

    • @twilightscallmtg
      @twilightscallmtg  Před měsícem +1

      Yeah. It could be Saryth and Acetisicm are needed if so. Kind of weird design space to shut down a large swath of the deck like that.

    • @iamacharliest
      @iamacharliest Před měsícem +1

      @@twilightscallmtg Yeah, I think it's more the hope that the counters don't really seem like a threat compared to other stuff that's on the board until you slam a vesuva on a cloud post and tap for 16 all of a sudden

      @@twilightscallmtg Sadly that is the case if you check mtg gatherer. Still, the deck floods itself with mana super fast, so recasting her several times, even 2x in the same turn, shouldn't be a problem.
      And hey, more cast triggers which are far safer than attacking to trigger

    Good picks and swaps. I hadn't considered the Domain ability.
    Personally I took Omo and put them in my gates and initiative deck.
    I was thinking of slivers too but I would want the ebt slivers and the everything counters are post-facto. Still an awesome idea tho in typal synergies.
    I couldn't keep this precon together. It has too many things my other decks needed.
    One of the biggest issues with these newer precons are how they can be picked apart. When everyone sees how insane Omo is they will start targeting it so I prefer it as a surprise support card. I also have no more room in my gates/initiative deck for further upgrade so I'm kinda hoping WotC lays off printing cards for it lol.

    • @twilightscallmtg
      @twilightscallmtg  Před měsícem +3

      I had to limit myself on what creature type synergies I wanted to mess with, so I went with the Shifting Sliver simply for the blocking and not the other abilities that could have been used as well. I think I need to get more hexproof or just shroud for Omo to keep her safe. She seems harmless and then she not and becomes a target.

      @quinnholton773 Před měsícem +2

      Considering you're running domain, scion of Draco would be a neat card. Gives hexproof to blue dudes and trample to green dudes. Also works if you doppelgang your opponents creatures as well

    • @twilightscallmtg
      @twilightscallmtg  Před měsícem +1

      Just finding this comment (Thanks YT!). That's a good suggestion, and I had it in a preliminary list (along side of the original Draco) and I was having trouble coming up with cuts I wanted to make, so I cut them in favor of what did make the list.

    I have a stupid question, hope you may answer. Tatyova's (steward of tides) efect has land creatures have flying, does a creature with Omo's counter counts also as a land creature or only lands that turned into a creature counts as land cratures?

    • @twilightscallmtg
      @twilightscallmtg  Před 9 dny

      They'll only count as creatures if you animate them with something like Tatyova. However, animating one with an everything counter will then give them all creature types, so any kind of bonuses granted to specific creature types can them apply to the animated lands as well.

    • @jorgegarza2746
      @jorgegarza2746 Před 9 dny

      @@twilightscallmtg but an Elf creature with an everything counter from Omo makes it count as a land creature to get flying from tatyova's ability?

    • @twilightscallmtg
      @twilightscallmtg  Před 8 dny +1

      @@jorgegarza2746 Ok, so I rushed to answer originally. I was wrong. Here's the way it works. Non-land creatures get the creature types off Everything counters. Everything counters grant all land types to lands and all creature types to creatures. They don't make creatures into lands or lands into creatures and what I said before about granting creature types to land creatures is wrong, as I forgot the non-land creature part of the card.
