Matt Canavan calls for Australia to get out of ‘ridiculous façade’ of emissions reduction

  • Nationals Senator Matt Canavan has called for Australia to get out of the “whole ridiculous façade” of emissions reduction.
Opposition leader Peter Dutton says he will not quit the Paris Accord or give up on net zero.
It is understood Mr Dutton's recent dismissal of the 2030 climate target was due to the goal being unachievable.
“I think we should get out of this whole ridiculous façade,” Mr Canavan told Sky News Australia.
“It is a façade because no other country in the world is really taking this seriously except Australia.
“It is costing Australian families a fortune because, ever since we signed up to net zero emissions and this 2030 target, prices have gone through the roof.”

Yeah - everyone can't wait for those $30,000 annual insurance premiums coming to you soon if you live near a river, coast, valley, or away from a the coast or rivers where it's drought prone with a fire risk. Hundreds of thousands of Australian homes are expected to have premiums that high by the end of the decade (some places are already that high) .

COP THIS AUSTRALIA: ENJOY THE RIDE.
CO2 is not a constituent of climatology; it is NOT USED in climatology.
About 96.5% of atmospheric CO2 is natural; 405 ppm natural, and 15ppm non-natural.
Of the 15 ppm, human contribution is likely to be about half; let's say 8.
Of the 8 ppm, Australia's contribution is about 0.1 ppm; put another way, that's.......
ONE PART IN 10 MILLION, REPEAT, ONE PART IN 10 MILLION.

Let the private sector eat the cost of research and development.
Stop forcing it on taxpayers, if you make the corporations pay for their own research and development, the customers can pick and choose which ones do it best and provide the best product.
