    For anyone looking to try this I highly recommend you do! It's super beginner-friendly. Sometimes I miss a v stitch or double crochet and don't realize it till I'm on the next row, but you can still continue on without undoing everything. The mistakes are near impossible to spot, and super forgiving. Thanks Sirin for this lovely pattern and tutorial!

      That happened to me! I was so scared, but I was able to make all the 7 double crochets in the stitch where I was supposed to make a V. It bothered me so much but now I can't even find the places where I missed the V stitches. I love this pattern.

    I found this pattern very easy to follow, learning the two repeating rows were easiest when I would pause the video as I went along, stitch by stitch. Since the two repeating rows are very basic, was easy to memorize pattern completely. I’m almost finished with my first one (halfway through the border) and I’ve already received so many compliments from those who see me working on it, can’t wait to finally wear this out and about!

    One of my favorite tricks when using a fine or superfine yarn is to use a 5.00mm - 5.50mm hook. This gives the overall fabric an even more delicate lacy look and feel. This works wonderfully when adding beads to your project, or even a bridal shawl. Especially if it’s a pineapple pattern.

    • @TiffanyVenus
      @TiffanyVenus Před 2 lety +7

      Honestly, this trick is amazing!!! I have some lovely superfine yarn that I had no idea what to make with. I tried this trick and I am in love with the results! I'm so excited to use this beautiful navy yarn for a shawl or scarf.

Great to work with I love the way it goes from one color to the next and find myself watching for it as I crochet. I have made 5 shawls with this yarn and have purchased 5 more different colors and have not made a dent into the choices of this yarn. You will love it in project you pick.

    A made this shawl a few months ago and just ordered more yarn for a second shawl. I used a 3.5 mm hook but after reading comments on here, will try a 5mm for the second shawl. I live in Florida and would love a lacier version since the YarnArt Flowers yarn is so light. I tend to crochet tightly. Thank you for the suggestion.

    I'm new to crocheting; my grandmother passed away years ago but she always hand made everything and I've always sat next to her and watched her create beautiful things.. she is my inspiration to learn how to crochet now.. I just bought 1 package of a Mainstays Velvet Yarn, I want this pattern or something very similar for the kind of yarn I chose.. could you give me some tips on what size hook & direct me to a video like this pattern for the velvety yarn pretty please? I really want to make these for my two little daughters. 🥰💙💜 One like this scarf pattern up at the top of this screen & the other one I want to do in a cable knit braided pattern, hooded scarf with hand/ phone pockets style (for my teenager). I'd greatly appreciate anyone's expertise advice, for I am new to all of this. Thank you lovely crochet artists! 🤩
