- After THREE DECADES of rumors and rumbilings, failed casting calls and numerous other affairs of conflict, its finally fucking here. BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE teaser trailer is up and this is my reaction to it
This is an emotional thing to me, Beetlejuice is deeply engrained into my childhood and still to this day, adult personality. Growing up I had pet Tarantulas and Scorpions, Snakes and other creepy crawlies and this is THE piece of entertainment that let me know, its OK to be weird and unique, as long as you are true to yourself.
You might not ever see me at such a loss of words and reaction, and I hope you too, are as excited for this as I am, because I am FUCKING pumped no matter how much I almost cried here.

I think it will, the old team is in place, and Tim Burton with Michael Keaton HAS to still be as classic as it was before. I am SO excited here, its not even funny. Like out of everything stuck in developmental Hell, I am most glad this one made it out alive.

I cringed with embarrassment. I'm so sick of empty fanservice nostalgia driven sequels that do nothing but rip the heart and soul from a classic movie and lazily drop it into an inferior sequel and then trick gullible people into thinking they're getting the same experience they had when they were a kid. It's simple, if you want to feel nostalgic, watch the original again! You don't need to have them ruin a classic with an inferior sequel that is trying to replicate the original rather than build something new and unique off of it. It's sad how many times Hollywood has done this in the last 10 years. It's embarrassing to see how many people still fall for it.
While I don't agree with you 100% on everything i DO agree with you that Hollywood is lacking severe originality right now. I do a lot of acting in indie horror films and it's unreal how creative these indie directors are and how smart their writing is
Hollywood could indeed use a bit of fresh ideas right now, but not all these remakes and sequels are as bad as id think they would be.

It's September 6th, not June. Before they showed the date it even said coming this fall.

The orginal was the first of its kind, the closest the world ever saw to seeing a Saturday morning cartoon come to life
That's just more common now then not but it's vibe, is what still makes it a timeless classic
