@@hihellothere100 that was just slaughter everywhere, but this had so many stand alone moments on its own. This is two normal good teams just slugging it out for four quarters, am amazing comeback, harsh mistakes, etc. Rams vs KC was like watching two superteams lol. Super crazy plays from both offenses and defenses, but it was also expected. Call it recency bias, but this game just pulled on my emotions different.
Once JJ made that catch, you knew it was going to be chaotic after that. What a game.
The missed extra point is what ended up making this game so wacky. Otherwise vikings would have just kicked a field goal to tie it 27-27 and done a regular kickoff.

Honestly, it's one of those calls where you distinguish yourself from the rest of the announcers. Wonderfully put, succinctly described.

Vikings did plenty of choking too. Cousins was hot trash in the first half, slinging dumpster sauce all over the field. Then we failed to get 6 inches to get the job done....

Joe Davis has had a heck of a week! First he calls an incredible World Series with the now legendary "THIS GAME IS TURNED UPSIDE DOWN!" call of Yordan's go-ahead home run in Game 6 that basically won the Astros the World Series, and then he calls this absolute barn-burner of a game today! He's definitely won me over!
I'm from Minnesota, so I got the privilege of seeing this insanity live. May be the best football game I've seen in 20 years.
It was THE 1 o clock game for most people because the alternative was KC vs Jax. How dare the NFL call the Packers vs Cowboys game of the week. Vikings Bills was game of the decade.

I’m not a fan of either team, but when I saw how close it was I wanted to watch. Turned on the TV and the signal wasn’t working. So, I pulled out an old radio and listened to the game in that.

As a lifelong Vikings fan, this was the most exciting game I’ve ever watched. Yes, I watched the “Minneapolis Miracle” against the Saints and thought that was amazing. But this was 10x crazier. The Minneapolis Miracle was ONE play. This was a sequence of insane plays like I’ve never seen before. Really fun to watch!!
Are the Vikings gonna win the SB? Most likely no. In fact, if I were a betting man, I’d bet against them. But damn, they gave us one of the best games (maybe THE best) I’ve ever witnessed.

This was one of the most exciting games I can remember. It was chaos. It was missed opportunities follow by second chances. It was just incredible football. I wish this was the type of game that happens in London or Germany so they can see how good the NFL can be.
Oh man, that would be incredible if we had a game like this abroad! That would totally ignite a new level of fandom wherever it happened (Germany, Mexico, London). It would be epic.
Problem is the NFL sends teams like the Broncos to different countries and have to send good teams like the Vikings, Bills, Chiefs, and Eagles instead.

From a fumble recovery for a TD for the Vikes D, to an INT in OT for Patrick Peterson, this is, indeed, THE GREATEST GAME of the year so far.

That last one was just a better D line play than the O line. Some of those O line straight whiffed their blocks. Like basic HS level knowledge of playing goal line. Yet somehow they fireout high.
