      Did you guys ever fix your ammunition issue? I remember that being a thing a couple years back. I thought it was a shame such a beautiful tank was using sub-par ammunition.

    • @SargeRho
      @SargeRho Před 6 lety +8

      We use Tungsten Carbide KEPs, rather than Depleted Uranium, so the firepower isn't going to be the same as that of the Abrams. That's the only issue I really know about.
      Aside of the hull rack, which would be an issue on an "offensive" tank, but not on the Leopard 2, which is meant to fight from semi-fortified positions (prepared dirt mounds, etc.)

    • @recon_ron7746

      Sarge Rho abrams are actually going to start using tungsten instead of depleted uranium now

    • @phil3114
      @phil3114 Před 6 lety +6

      That is not quite correct anymore. Tungsten actually performs better at high velocities, something that became possible with the L55 gun. In this gun, the american style Uranium round would simply shatter at the targets armor due to the higher velocity. That is one reason why the Abrms was not upgraded to the L55 yet.

    Greetings from Germany! Actually I am builing a radio-controlled Leopard 2 A6. I use your video for the decals and details. It is a 1/16 model with many metal parts and functions. Smoke and sound included. It weighs 14 kg all in all. But in my head it has 60 tons and I just love how the supension works and simply the look and feel of it! German engineering somehow... Last week I worked beside a test area of the Bundeswehr. When I was there they tested artillery in combination with all sorts of tanks. It sounded surreal! Like thunder and you could feel it in your stomach. Very impressive! And this over a distance of several hundred metres...

    germans have interresting technologys indeed, its possible one of EU's advanced nations, even there weapons such as tanks ar very interresting to,
    i have a RC version coming soon, i bied it on amazon, the german leapard 2 A6 is a very good tank, every type of tank is uniek,
    but the top tank stil is indeed the M1A2 Abrams heavy armord tank of USA but there is a new tank that perfectle rivals the M1A2 Abrams, i forget the name of that tank🤔 but it is a russian tank, its a new type of tank, but the price for there production for it is very high thats why they have just a hand full of them,
    its just a slidely little bit lesser heavy in armour than the US Abrams is, but its actualy the same type of tank, its a heavy armourd tank ment to serpass the US M1A2 Abrams,
    i have the RC M1A2 Abrams and i love the look of it, the reason why some nations find the M1A2 Abrams a big problem has i think probebly to do about its heavy armour, it is the worlds heaviëst armourd tank so far,
    every one has its favorit tank i gues🤔, for me personaly, i just find it interresting, how the look is, how it works, its nice to see, every tank is uniek, but the reason why tanks exist is only for one goal, its ment for destroying thats all, that i dont like, but to see a tank even in action is interresting to see🙂

These things have better armor, better way better weaponry, these are faster, more reliable, easier to maintain, way more modern making these way more accurate due to sophisticated fire control systems and capable night fighting due to night and thermal vision etc, I mean the list goes on.
