Silly question, but: Do you know if these EFI V6s can be made to run in a horizontal configuration? I think it would be cool to put one in a small sports car.

To be honest, the control of fuel and water isnt difficult as it is a 2 stroke. So mounting it horizontal isnt very difficult.

How can the engine be a 2013? If you go back to the 2013 version of Mercury Racing's website, they don't have the motor listed. I thought all of these were replaced with DI in 2005, no?

Mercury Racing still manufactured these in low production volumes for racing customers up until several years ago. They have been "officially" out of production for a while now however as you mention.

Also I've always wondered how the F1 racers keep using two strokes. Are those F1 motors still in production by Merc?
