Turns out, thats that board is power regulation, Not the amplifier. fault still undetermined, But entering debug/service mode allows the unit to power on, and it does amplify what signal you put into it.
I did find the service manual if you still care, it has been 8 months.. theres alot of people that wouldnt hang onto something nonfunctional for that long.
I just picked up a 5750 with the exact same problem. I haven't tried diagnosing it yet but did you ever figure out what it was? Thanks!

99% sure the clicking noise is a relay saying "no thank you"
Did you determine more about what the fault was in that circuit? Or what that connector goes to?
If I remember right, the connector goes directly between the power supply and the amplifier board, I honestly cant say Ive dug any further into it.
