Nice to see you all together!! Love your reactions to Angelina. Your rating was very fair. This is only her 2nd song released with Republic Records since signing with them late last year. I do like that this is more upbeat. Angelina is a jazz queen and is unmatched in that genre. It's what she has loved since 3 years old. For another upbeat original try "Above The Water" in EDM genre that she released last January 2020 at 14 years old. Very different from ballads she normally sings and was the last song she released before signing with Republic. Take care. Cheers from Florida

I agree with @SteveK... the audio and instrumentation are better in the live studio version IMHO. It has the same 50’s-60’s jazz feel to it while still being current. 😉👍

Hola chicos, que buena reaccion, es un original de angelina, para mi es impresionante, el ritmo es Jazz y ella lo lleva en la sangre, en una entrevista comento que no seria la misma de no haber conocido a Billie Holiday, a mi me dejo flotando, y mas con una cancion propia con una letra hermosa, hoy saco un cover de la cancion " Billie Jean " de Michael Jackson, es una obra de arte, chicos me gustan sus reacciones, muchas gracias, saludos desde Argentina y hasta la proxima de Angelinaaaaaaaa

Try watching the official studio version. This is an entertaining video, but the guitar and drumset are missing. The studio version also has a backup singer (and the drummer sings backup as well). That version is slightly different. I prefer it but not everyone does.
I'm completely with you on this. Of all the performances where there are video choices, the Studio version is my preference, without any doubt.
I agree, I much prefer the studio version. She's always better "live," IMO.
You get to see how much control Republic Records is giving to Angelina, by the intro to the video at the beginning, where it says "Angelina Jordan presents 7th Heaven", not Republic Records or any of the other entities that have a stake in her contract, but Angelina Jordan presents. She wrote the song, and I'm sure the layout of the video was mostly her idea also.
I enjoy your reactions, but I give the song and the video both higher scores, but possibly, it loses something if you don't understand the language as you watch. Angelina has said that the song is about hope, and never giving up on achieving your dreams, (your 7th heaven, your place of ultimate happiness) and I thought that was translated very well into the video. The young waitress (who in real life is a struggling singer/dancer/actress by the name of Sydney Delassi) is stuck in a job to make ends meet and dreams of doing what Angelina is doing. Angelina is saying not to give up because it's right in front of you and could happen at any minute, and that you can't be so serious all the time, sometimes you have to let go and get caught up in the moment, even though the weight of achieving your goals sometimes is a heavy load to bear. (on your shoulders). Anyway, I love your reactions to Angelina (I only watch her reaction videos) I just keep hoping for more.
Totally agree with you @ Gary Rogers. The only thing I would add would be the reference to looking in the mirror and loving the person looking back at you. The lyrics of the song describe the Angelina we know and love, but the "mirror" segment is for me the most powerful. I cannot imagine Angelina ever doing or saying anything which would lead her to dislike the image of herself in a mirror.

Stay true to yourself, don't sell out for greed. And yes, I don't think with the way she was raised, and the people that surround her and look out for her, that we have anything to worry about.
@@michaelasher9395 Yes, I've noticed it in all her covers and all the videos from her 2 originals since signing with RR, and I'm thankful that they saw what she could offer if not restrained and pushed a different direction.

This genre is kind of jazz/soul/R&B/pop.
Actually Angie made a new genre, her patented Jazzy/pop. Her Angie style. Angie wrote the words & Stargate produced this.
Angelina said it herself. “Life has ups and downs, and you always have to be ready for whatever is coming up. The song is a reminder to look at everything in a positive light and not get down on yourself. Most
importantly-no matter what you’re doing-don’t give up. It’s also meant to make you dance.” She smiles. At the end most are craving more so you go back to listen to it again & again etc etc. Plus she ends that last word on Hope & on a high note for than you come down naturally or as most they just keep listing to the positive message. Pure story telling & word using genius & at 13-15 when she wrote this. Remember her musicality & music intelligence have always been off the charts. This is a song about hope. Many people can relate to this. The waitress in the video seems to be stuck in a job to make ends meet and feels like all her dreams are fading away. She is inspired by Angelina’s song, loses her self in the moment and feels like she can still Pursue her dreams because it is all in front of her eyes.
Powerful message in the video and amazing vocals by Miss Angelina Jordan.

Perfect interpretation, in my opinion. "7th Heaven on my shoulders, weighs heavy". I interpret this as the expectations she has for herself to reach her goals, her most happy place... her '7th heaven'.

Angelina Jordan è una delle mie scoperte recenti più sorprendenti, non solo per le sue doti tecniche, che lasciano sbalorditi, specie se si osservano le performance realizzate quando andava alle scuole elementari, per così dire, ma per la sua capacità di appropriarsi con estrema naturalezza di qualsiasi stile vocale e genere musicale. Come possibili suggerimenti jordaniani, io trovo notevoli le sue versioni di "Billie Jean" di Micheal Jackson e di "House of the rising sun" degli Animals.
Nel caso, potreste persino provare un video nel quale ascoltate prima il brano originale e poi la cover di Angelina, io resto curioso di vedervi all'opera anche con musica di altre epoche, sarebbe un bell'esperimento, qualcosa di originale, almeno credo...

Per quel che riguarda i video e la loro struttura sceneggiata, dovete sapere che dal 2018 ha firmato con la Republic Records, una filiale di Universal,
che lavorano con produttori di altissimo livello come Stargate che hanno ottenuto Grammy Awards scrivendo e producendo vari brani per Beyoncé, Sam Smith, Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Lionel Richie... insomma non roba da poco!!!
I video sono tutti molto "leccati" e pennellati, marchio della Stargate.

Sarebbe anche fantastico se volete fare una reazine su Giulia Falcone. Lei ha anche 15 anni, ha una voce delicata e forte nello spesso tempo.
Ha fatto un cover di " SOS d'un terrien en detresse" que sta per raggiungere un millione di viste. Lei è Italiana ma canta anche in francaise e Inglese ( aparte dell'italiano certamente). In Italiano ha coperto "Come sembrai" di Giorgia, "Caruso" di Lucio Dalla e "Cambiare" di Baroni. Secondo me verrà la prossima superstar che esce dall' Italia.

Thank you for your reaction. The studio version was better but this video is not so simple. You have to listen to the words and at the same time look what happened in the video. There is a very deep and true life meaning behind the words and the video plays it out. Maybe you talk to must while the video was playing.

These three have as much insight as a narcissist. The video was as simple as the song title? They clearly have not read any of the written interviews with Angelina regarding this song and I am not sure if they are aware of imprint on the song even existing. You rock Italy put some of your critics might want to do a little more PREsearch prior to critiques if one is going to grade another's efforts. I would say 3/10 for this review/react.
It's for comments like these that we'll stop reacting to Angelina eventually. We're far from being narcissist, we are entitled to our own opinions, which you don't seem able to respect to the least. Perhaps to avoid issues with CZcams in the future ,it might be helpful to draw attention to your viewers and listeners to Angelina's official channels before starting your reaction or make references to her channel. There are many reactors who have reacted to her videos successfully without needing to chop it. Best of luck in your next video. BTW, Angelina has just dropped her latest cover or Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean " so it's definitely worthwhile for you guys to fix the problem and do it right. Good luck 👍😊

Why did you chop the song up ? If you are going to react to a song you should at least play the whole song.
Obviously we have listened to the full song, but we had to edit some parts out in order to upload the video on CZcams. We tried to post the full video but it got blocked, that's the only issue and sadly it's not on us.
