George Best visits the Cliff Training Ground in 1993 and bumps into a few familiar faces! Taken from the 'The Very Best: Ryan & George' VHS Video release. #classic #bestie #cliff
Fantastic footage, my Idol was Jimmy Johnstone of Celtic, Matt Busby wanted to sign him for utd but he wouldnt leave Celtic, add him to the utd trio that would have been something else.
Rest well George, it’s interesting to see this, at that point George Best was a club legend and Sir Alex’s story was just beginning as a manager of this fantastic club.
@@theculturedthug6609 yes once he found yoga, he seemed to avoid injuries. Although it may be partially down to the fact that his hamstrings wouldn't snap as he got slower with age. But his 20s he did his hamstrings quite regularly
I was on the London Underground, bout 5 years ago and looked to my left over the other side of the carriage. There was George Best ! A dead ringer. So I asked the guy sitting opposite to verify, he did ! I told the guy about it and he looked surprised, especially when I said how much I missed George Best, he agreed, bless him. The guy was very kind at having his day interrupted. R.I.P. George, you are still sorely missed. Poetry in motion :)
Visited George's family home in Belfast, today. Great tour and history. My Brother and I then paid our respects with a visit to George's grave and left flowers. Great watching this clip, again.
he always seemed so alive in clips like this. It's almost as if he still is. Bestie should have lived forever. He was always a big presence in front of a camera. And had the gift of the gab to be able to come up with great quotes, as well as come-backs to interviewers. If only he had not been the first superstar footballer, he might have gotten some good handlers who could have helped him. But nobody knew what to do with him - the "fifth Beatle" - least of all himself. This is why his first retirement was at the age of 26. 26???
Greatest British player of all time...the world Greatest class him at top, not dalglish or Charlton, not Rooney or fowler, gerrard or Scholes.. see what pele or Maradona say about him. On those pitches, with them ball, them defenders & the rules?? Any1 compare likes of even Ronaldo or Messi to the the greats don't grasp footballs evolution at all. Maradona good, pele better...George best 🇬🇧
What a supremely gifted player George was. I remember him when he played alongside Bobby Charlton and Dennis Law, watching them play was pure magic.
@Barry Holroyd Yes it really is sad.

A nice cup of tea. Oh, if only he had stuck to that. My boyhood hero.
Maybe our most talented player of all time!
Maybe. Paul Parker edges it for me
No shit sherlock
Djemba-Djemba for me.
Definitely our most talented player no one comes close
Nah luke chadwick was.
Great watch. Rest in peace, George. Manchester United & Northern Ireland
An all time great, and without doubt the most naturally talented.

He was right about Giggs and injuries
He had loads of injuries until he did yoga
Shut up Butters
Didn't Giggs play until he was 40?

@@theculturedthug6609 Yes he played until 2014, which shows what George said in 1993 was correct.
Who's here in 2021!?
