It's high time that I gave a shout-out to all the people who have supported me with their generous donations via Ko-fi over the years. Whether it was a one-time occasion or multiple donations, small or larger sums, all of it is greatly appreciated. Their names appear at the end of the animation. I can't thank them enough. As my home country is falling ever deeper into into an extremely harsh economic crisis and my CZcams revenue has become a mere fraction of what it used to be, I would be lost without their help.
Pbjam, my latest supporter as of this video, deserves a special mention. His monumental kindness and support have helped me tremendously over the past couple months, and I can say with full honesty that his donations have helped me avoid a very rough time.
I also apologize to anyone waiting for the continuation of my longer videos. They are being worked on, just very slowly. - Krátké a kreslené filmy

@@TheOfficeandGummiBearsFan Tell me, what was this video made using?

naahhh he made movies better😂
I already know that it was an absolute living hell to animate Kong's small details like his fur ruffling due to being moved by hand.
And also being in a suit is also stressful. As both of these are not easy.
Yeah the fur was ruffled on the different versions of Kong when Willis O'Brien - O'Bie and his crew members hands touched the Kong Models animating them.
@@josejuarez-Dominator. Yeah sorry but the stop motion is way more tedious imo. The suit becomes deadly depending on if the person doesn’t have great stamina or if it gets caught on fire.
But the stop motion is just so much more work imo.
@@Bobzilla2023 Both are relatively tedious: stop motion tooks much more time and with more mental effort of details, being in a suit can become deadly and mostly gives physical tiredness

Stop motion will forever be loved. Even the 1954 film had some of it in there.
In what scenes? I know the used a puppet for Godzillas head, and they used stop motion for KKVG, But I don't remember stop animation for Godzilla 54

Now this is phenomenal. I love how Kong's fur shifts every so often like in the original as well as being at a significantly lower framerate than Godzilla. Favorite part's definitely when he starts screwing around with the prop followed up by the comment about the original plans on depicting Godzilla. This some good shit!
Fun fact: Originally, Godzilla was to be filmed through stop motion like Kong was, although since the movie was scheduled before the end of 1954, they didn't have the time, so they started with the man in a suit.
Yeah that’s right and that’s how suit-motion began so for every Godzilla movie they used suit motion until 2004 then today Godzilla is now cgi.
@@oliverneves-gi3lhWasn't it until 2016? Bc shin godzilla looks like a guy in a costume and edited effects on it in computer.
Animatronic shin Godzilla,
They used puppet Godzilla for closeup shots on the mountain in the island scene and also the tower scene in original 54. A full armature of Godzilla 1954 though? No. King Kong was also a puppet too in 1933 original. A giant Kong puppet was used for close up shots during the jungle scene and the theatre scene at the end of the movie. The rest was armature stop motion capture. The guy in a suit was more rougher to bare than stop motioning. Pick your choice. Hot sweaty or lots of hours chaoticly playing with a toy in front of camera.

I’d like to see this as a visual metaphor for how John Beck ruined Willis O’ Brian’s career
Real.
Pls elaborate
@@boi7316During the 1960s, Willis O’ Brian and Merian C. Cooper, the creators of the original King Kong, we’re going through some very tough times with their film career. So, in an attempt to keep their Kong movies going, Willis O’ Brian pitched the idea of a new King Kong movie to multiple movie studios, who all turned it down. One man however, named John Beck, liked the idea, and hired O’ Brian and Cooper. But behind the duo’s back, John Beck gave the legal rights to the character of “King Kong” over to Toho(the creators and current owners of the Godzilla franchise). John Beck thought that using the filming technique of stop motion would be to time consuming and would be a waste of money and he thought that using men in suits would be easier. A few years later, King Kong vs Godzilla would be released in Japanese and American theaters. O’Brian would eventually find out that Mr. Beck had crossed him and tried to sew his former business partner. O’ Brian lost the argument and would unfortunately die of a heart attack a few years later.
@@Daikaijudethedude O'Brien died a few months before 'King Kong vs. Godzilla' was released in the U.S., but the other details are correct.

I always wanted to see an interaction between both the OG Kong and Godzilla considering the size difference. Thank you Vrahno for making this masterpiece come to life.
This version of Godzilla is massively, comedically taller than the original Godzilla from the first movie. Godzilla was big, but he was around 50 metres high, not taller than the bloody Empire State Building.
@sigiligus I don't see anywhere in the person's comment saying Godzilla was as big as the Empire State building he was talking about the size difference between og Godzilla and Kong, which is still a rather large size difference.

I so love this. So damn much. This is well done and the guy doing this should be getting a Netflix deal or something and get a TV show made.
Funny thing about godzilla's line at the end is that, eiji tsuburaya initially wanted to do godzilla in stop motion but with the movie being scheduled for a release at the end of the year they couldn't finish the movie in that time if they went with that approach.
