- The lives of celebrities sometimes head in a negative direction... and it's a rarity when they're able to turn their lives around. However, this video will explore 8 different celebrities that turned their lives around, successfully, from Robert Downey Junior to Macaulay Culkin.
This is, Celebrities Who Unexpectedly Turned Their Lives Around.
Thank you guys for watching, like and sub if you enjoyed, SunnyV2

It makes me really happy that Macaulay Culkin bounced back. His speech the other week when he was talking about his wife Brenda Song was extremely genuine and heartfelt.
Brenda a real one
Brenda's been such a sweetheart and helping Macaulay
You think you’re tough or something? The average person on the street would make you look silly in a fight, and could take your ass if they wanted to.
Don’t forget Rich Evans
They're not married
Robert Downey Jr is one the best come back stories. Most young people today would have no idea Iron Man used to be this strung out druggy who was on the verge of either being homeless or dead.
Parte 2:

Coinicdence but even in the comics Ironman had life struggles(Alcohol problem or the demon in the bottle storyline).

I almost become homeless during my college years when I started to ask questions about feminism.
That was a wake up call that showed me just how hypocritical people can be.
Hearing Lindsay Lohan and Macauley Culkin are both parents now really warms my heart. I have loved them since childhood and wanted them to get better. ❤
These childhoods stars may have had a rough patch in their lives HOWEVER this next story is even more remarkable....
I'm very happy that Macaulay Culkin has overcome his drug addiction. I hope things continue to look up for him. He's a somewhat underrated actor with a huge amount of talent.
I think so too. I really like seeing him acting in different roles, other than Kevin from home alone.
I find it hilarious so many people just assume he was a drug addict because of tabloid pics of him being skinny. There is no actual proof of him being an addict and he himself is annoyed by the notion he was claimed to be one.
Macauley has really turned himself aound! I remember looking at pics of him like ten years ago and he looked completely insane. I thought we'd be seeing him in the obituaries.
Robert is an example that even if you are at your lowest, you can still make it to the top.

A lot of people always leave out the effort of Mel Gibson to help RDJ. Insurance companies wouldn't insure RDJ for movies due to his issues and the payments were massive and movie studios wouldn't pay them. So Mel covered the cost on the first Ironman movie to help his friend. Only reason he was able to be Ironman.
and what so wholesome and proved that RDJ is a good man, when mel gibson hit rock bottom, RDJ is one of the few celebrity who didn't abandon him.
it shows that RDJ never forget his friends.
It’s finally completed: czcams.com/video/n4rDvjvyiM0/video.htmlsi=NBsBbCBAEsOlQiW_
Mel is always underappreciated. He helped a lot of people in the past, even Britney.
thats because mel gibson is very racist and antisemetic, people leave him out because its better for rdj if mel gibsons name isnt mentioned
Oprah sucks I hope she rots away in jail the rest of her life
The recovery of Culkin is both very welcoming, and very humbling. I recall in a TV series a character said something like "the totality of darkness from the entire world pales in the presence of a lit candle". As long as you move forward and hold on to hope, you'll find light.
I think Drew Barrymore's story impresses me the most: She grew up in such a subversively toxic environment (by which I mean, it wasn't _obviously_ toxic; there was little she could have done -- especially at that age -- to realize her situation and take steps to improve things or escape), and yet somehow emerged not only as a successful actress but, by all accounts, a genuinely great person.
Impresses you the most??? Are you comparing struggles
@@Bruh-ui9lo Oh my God, when you put it that way... that really is an awful way to think about things isn't it? I think I might actually be a horrible person :P
@@eunomiac yes!!! you are!!!
@@eunomiacI know what you mean. When I was a kid I was the same age as her brothers character Elliot in ET and when I saw it in the cinema I fell in love with her and wanted her to be my little sister, then all the bad stuff happened and she basically disappeared. Then years later I heard she was going to be in a horror film and I was so excited to see her again so I went to the cinema in a really good mood expecting her to be the final girl and she got killed off in the first 15 minutes and I was devastated. But then she bounced back with Charlies angels, never been kissed, 50 first dates, ever after etc and I love her even more now

Addiction is tough. I lost my dad in September from alcohol addiction. Props to all these celebrities who turned their lives around. It’s not an easy thing
sorry to hear that bro, hope everything is going alright for you rn
My condolences to your father, I understand your loss friend ):
I feel you my man, in recent years family members, close relatives started to drop like flies from alcohol. Can't even feel sad, just disgusted.
Alkohol addiction is the peak hell. Man i wisch you the Best and hope you are doing okay. RIP to you dad and wisch you can handle it.
sorry to hear that man. hoping your doing better ❤
Never heard about Liam Neeson's wife passing, even his last words to her are just truly tragic.
The messed up part is the fact that the cops blamed her death on him. So he became a wanted man!
*Edit:* Never mind, I think I’m talking about Taken 3
It doesn't even belong in this list.
One bad thing happened in his life, handled it like a responsible, decent human being, then continued acting like normal... There was no "rock bottom," getting into drugs, criminal charges, rehab, kicked out of Hollywood, etc.
He just went about life as best he could. Pointing out one bad thing happened in his life & that's it? Why is it included in this video?
@@corey2232 Oprah didn't belong either. She just grew up poor.
@@muddobber6863I thought she was abused.
@@muddobber6863 I mean, she did get whipped like a slave while dressed like a sack of potato's. That'll be a low for anyone.
Such an inspiring video highlighting the stories of these celebrities who managed to turn their lives around. A strong reminder that it's never too late to change and success could be waiting just around the corner.
You also forgot to point out that Macaulay Culkin and his now-wife Brenda Song first met and starred together in a movie named Changeland. Ironically, she was there for him through thick and thin and Macaulay turned his life around. I am so happy and proud of him bouncing back and also getting the spot at the Walk of Fame just recently.
What's more tragic and heartbreaking about Macaulay Culkin life is that his half-sister Jenny Adamson was pronounced dead due to drug overdose in May 10, 2000. 8 years later Dakota Culkin died from a car accident in December 10, 2008.
and Rory Culkin sent a photo of his genitals to an older woman.
Trouble Never Comes Single.once a death touch to family it takes more than once in a short time
thats so heartbreaking
After seeing so much negativity in the media, seeing this kind of life change is inspiring to me.

One thing I love about these videos is how they instantly get to the point and when they end they end without outros or unnecessary comments. You always know the exact length of any video.
This video, in itself, is a clear response to those who claimed that Sunny only spreads negativity and focuses on downfalls and failures. Good job Sunny.
While RDJ is one of the greatest comebacks in industry history, if not THE greatest, Macaulay's comeback was truly a tear jerker. Not many child actors can come back from what he (and also Drew Barrymore) went through. Never met him, but when he got his Star on the HWF, I was actually very, very proud of him. 😊
Hell I was clapping and laughing when Macaulay was on the Eric Andre show
seeing him on RLM is always a treat~
It’s finally completed: czcams.com/video/n4rDvjvyiM0/video.htmlsi=NBsBbCBAEsOlQiW_
I agree, it was so great seeing him on a podcast a while back and looking happy and content. He has such a beautiful family
You could see how much it meant to him to see/hear how many people still care about his well-being, he went through dark times and deserves his happiness
Macaulay Culkin is also a recurring guest on Red Letter Media's Best of the Worst show. Super funny and down to earth guy.
They covered Mr. McCulkin but not Rich Evans. Hack Fraud.
Love his guest appearances. They are one of my favourite on rlm.
Does he play that Rich Evans character?
I love when Mac is on. He’s practically a recurring member like Jack or Tim.
I cant believe he got to meet Hollywood Super Star Rich Evans!
You know, sometimes it feels like all we see in the media is the bad, and ugly shit this world has to offer. But it’s honestly a breathe of fresh air to hear stories of people overcoming their personal demons and living a better life. Excellent video Sunny. Especially with the new year around the corner, it’s a nice reminder that it’s never too late to start again. Happy New Year Everyone!

This the 3rd video that isn’t negative, sure lol
I never realised how Macaulay Culkin & Drew Barrymore had such similar early lives both being really talented & young ages, having not so great parents, early massive success, separation from their parents in their teens, vicious struggles with drugs & alcohol at young ages which caused major struggles with life in general then being able to turn their life around & create the loving family they never had despite the odds stacked against them.
I'm glad in the end they beat the "curse" of young Hollywood actors & ended up in good places.
It is nice to see such a positive and uplifting video on this channel. I hope more are in the works. Thank you for reading my comment.
Something you failed to mention about RDJ: He provides his own insurance. That's HOW he got back into acting, was companies no longer had/have to fork over large sums to insurance companies to protect him, he does it himself.
Part 2:
czcams.com/video/j-rBeCNnPnU/video.html
I think Mel Gibson paid the first insurance or a couple of them for RDJ to get back into movies. Robert said he would forever be thankful for that. Everyone turned their backs on him for reasons understood, but when he got cleaned, Mel was the only one there in his corner.
@@InevitableOption-ic2vx Oh! I heard about that, but I didn't look into it further. They said how RDJ was helped and got on his feet, he's trying to help Armie get on his feet and stay afloat. Is this true? I can see RDJ helping someone out since he's experienced the lowest of lows in his life and career.

It’s never too late to change your life from addiction. As someone who is currently struggling with it, there’s always hope. The human spirit is the strongest thing any of us have, and these celebrities are living proof of what it can overcome
One of my favorite bits of trivia about Robert Downey Jr is the story he told of realizing he wanted to go to rehab. He said that he was in the drive thru of Burger King, ordered a burger, bit into it, and it was so bad that he felt some sense of dread and it made him realize how low he was at that point in his life, so he threw all of the drugs he had in his car into the ocean and checked into rehab that day.

I'm just so happy that Lindsey and McCaulay came back around. I grew up watching them, was heartbroken over their downfall, and was so happy for them when they got sober again. But in between that time I myself got into an addiction and still struggling with it on and off. It makes me so happy to see my idols overcome their struggles and doing good for themselves

Amazing to hear these stories. I'm familiar with some of them, but truly uplifting at the end of the year.
bro why are sunnyV2's videos so good? Keep up the good work! :)
Im glad Macaulay is doing great. I remember one time, he was so broke, he had to deliver pizza's to the Angry Video game nerd.
Elton John is another celebrity who turned his life around. He’s been sober since 1990 after doing hard drugs for like a decade and a half, as well as turning his entire personality around and becoming a genuinely better person. He’s also helped other celebrities get sober like Eminem or Robbie Williams
Elton John and Eminem being absolute bff is one of the funniest things I learned a while ago.
It’s always a good day when sunny posts a video
Gosh this was so inspirational . I know i can turn my life around 😢❤
The Robert Downey Jr & Macaulay Culkin comeback stories are my favourites.
Macaulay also recently got a star of the Walk of Fame. Well deserved after everything he went through.

Actually Oprah's family came forward saying her "tragic" backstory is all made up. Since she has ties to a lot of evil people I am inclined to believe the family.
When was the backstory exposed and who is she tied up with?
I believe she's on the epstien logs. Among other things @falcon8105
Yeah, let's ignore the decades & decades of very visible positive things and documented philanthropy... All because someone in her family that we know nothing about said "nuh uh, she's lying."
Makes total sense.
No surprise, she's a liar like Hillary Clinton since they support each other

It's kind of amazing how Robert and Iron Man have the same character arc, it makes it just special.
I think it's extremely sad that cases like Macaulay Culkin are a exception when It comes to children who were raised by Hollywood. It just seems like it's almost expected for a kids life to be absolutely destroyed by the time they get out. It's a blessing that Culkin was able to turn his life around before it was too late
Oddly enough, this gives me inspiration :')
I just love the transition between the people❤
So creative
Another really good example is Shaq. His sister and Kobe died in the same timeframe in 2020 and he ended up getting depressed and almost eating himself to death. After that episode he began getting back in shape and lost nearly 100 pounds.
I love stories like these.

RDJ is a big inspiration. Although I never got arrested I actually did almost die to cirrosis of the liver after having drank my life away nightly alone in a room. Iron Man has a special place too because he had an alcohol addiction in the comic storyline “demon in a bottle” which in turn was touched on in the second film. It’s just nice to see alcoholism portrayed in a way where I don’t feel alone or like a lost cause.
Clean since May and finished up my first semester back in school and passed all my classes :)
To think most of these I grew up watching as a kid when they were also kids as well. It's awesome to see them overcome their struggles and sad to see they never have the childhood they deserve. I'm glad they are well and still alive.
Yo this vid was fire, it's cool to know Robert and Macauley are doing fine.
Robert Downey was a real iron man, he was addicted to alcohol and was at a low point, until he came out on top. He, is, ironman.

I met Liam Neeson a year after his wife died and while he did not talk about his wifes passing and he was a really kind person even though I feel like he still was deeply troubled by her passing.
