    Don't know if you know it but not to far away, just a 7/10 minute ride from this shop there is also a British supermarket. A former Iceland (Ocean Foods) store, now named 'Overseas'. It's quite a big store with a big offering of British and American foods in San Fulgencio, near La Marina

      Hi. We did another video on the one in Torrevieja closing- we showed all the other overseas supermarkets from San Fulgencio down to San Javier as well as the Food Co in Quesada. Thanks for watching 👍

    Been there once in 7 years purely out of desperation b/c you can't get salad cream in Spain. Would never buy anything else from there though because you can get everything you need from the Consum, Mas Y Mas, Carrefour, etc.

    • @britslivinginspain
      @britslivinginspain  Před rokem

      Thanks for watching. There is a larger selection of British brands available in the main Spanish supermarkets (or Spanish equivalents), but there are still some items that are more difficult to get unless you use a shop such as this.

      @@britslivinginspain Precisely, hence my comment about the salad cream. I'm not criticising anyone for shopping there, just to be clear. Just not (generally) for us, that's all.

    Pick N Pay is expensive. Has the odd thing thats handy. What isnt handy is the annoying €5 minimum spend for a debit card. Never use cash in Spain except at a market or a garage, and thats a hassle in itself. Went in to buy a can of Irn Bru and Ginger Beer a couple fo weeks ago and had to leave empty handed because of it. For the video, please think about the refresh rate of your camera when panning horizontally. Its horrible to watch, all blurry and smearing. When doing a horizontal pan, you really have to move slowly.

    • @britslivinginspain
      @britslivinginspain  Před rokem

      Noted. Will slow down the footage in future. (Not sure what happened as decent fps)- constantly learning. We found the prices of some items you can't get from Spanish supermarkets and some "british" ones as more expensive. Can't comment on using a card- that's down to the business concerned when we do these videos. We only try to show the range of goods available and any offers they may have.. Thanks for watching.

    • @djrichardgrant
      @djrichardgrant Před rokem +1

      @@britslivinginspain the frame rate is more to do with how TV images are created, its a scanline that works its way along and down the screen. When you have fast horizontal movement the image doesnt line up by the time it starts to draw the next set of lines. If your camera is able to record at 60fps that will help a lot, it will be so much smoother. I typically watch videos either on a 4K tv, or my gaming computer which has a 144hz monitor. So its much more noticeable on that. I spent a long time discussing with Olympus what was happening to my videos on my other channel as I noticed the bluriness when I was creating content. Eventually they sent me out a load of new camera gear to sponsor us.

    • @britslivinginspain
      @britslivinginspain  Před rokem

      I think the gopro and the phones are set to 60fps 4k. Will check. 👍

    • @djrichardgrant
      @djrichardgrant Před rokem +1

      @@britslivinginspain also check the render settings for the final output. You can see what I mean if you, for example, pause the video and try and see the prices on the items, its just a blur. Thats all frame rate.
