the level of c02 is calculated by the ph and kh, it takes several equations to get the correct level, there is a graph that has the results all laid out. i would think they would have a copy in the kit if not its online

I use this one for my pond. Works like a treat. Also you can get extra bottles of test solution so you can replace the ones you use more often instead of buying a new kit. 10/10 test kit for the price I would say.

How many uses do you get out of the included bottles? Around 50 or less?

I’ve noticed that when the testing socket with bottles lays down on a color testing sheet the solution gets darker. If I move up (1cm) testing socket then solution A is lighter color because there is more light. It’s more natural if I hold it up title bit so what’s the correct method ? :)

You're supposed to put them in the holder from what I've read. I think this is because the light can trick you sometimes. 🙂

@@fishypetkeeping Thank you. I also read this info on jbl site but to me it looks better without the bracket with matching color circles. There is obviously less light with the bracket so it seems darker, while A sample is not darkened that much. So it means higher readings :) For example I have tetra no2 test as well and they say hold it 1cm from the white background. So I don’t know so I’m confused a bit.

I use test strips and evaluating pH is much easier. Thanks for review. Not going to buy.

Hi will this work on salt water, marine tank?? Thanks

Sorry for the late answer! I'm not sure about this specific test kit, but there is a Marine test kit from JBL too!

I came to this video because I believe this kit is snake oil, I got the same kit and somehow I got the exact colours you did on these tests, I tested my rainwater then my planted tank repeatedly while cycling and every month for 6 months and every single test came out the exact same colours even when my tank was clearly going through a heavy Bacterial bloom. I've had accurate kits before but I'm afraid this one is bogus! I can't be 100% sure but I'm pretty sure it isn't accurate. Always measures 7.5 pH, 3dkh, 0 nh4, 0.05 NO2, 1-3 no3. No matter what water I test and that's as far as I can tell cos the colours don't really match up on half the tests
