I have been following the Don't Miss This for several years and I really appreciate you doing the Time Stamps. It helps me so much to follow along each lesson.
Thank you so much for this. My mist of darkness was severe anxiety - boy, was that a thick, blinding mist. But I'm grateful I held onto the rod of God's word through all of that. Still coming out of the mist, but it is clearing more and more, especially as I am studying the Book of Mormon and applying it to my life 💜
I can relate so much! I suffered with debilitating anxiety, if you’re Endowed, go to the Temple! It has changed my life and my anxiety has dissipated to almost zero! Prayers for your continued healing 🩵😉

Funny thing - as I am listening today, the song that goes, "Anything you can do, I can do better" has been running through my head with this twist to the lyrics. "Anything I can do, He can make better. Anything He can do, I can do, too". 😜
During your Fall Down lesson, my mind reflexed on the many stories in the Book of Mormon, where a person fell down, overcame by the Spirit and came to know their God. Lamoni, his wife, their servants, Ammon, Lamoni’s dad etc. This was a repentance time, gratitude time, changing time, worshiping time. I appreciate the Spirit helping me see this and connect the two experiences.
I love pointing out how Nephi forgave his brothers in spite of how they wanted to kill them. It is a reminder that we need to let go of grudges within our families and forgive each other for when we have been wronged. In spite of the wars that happened between the Nephites and Lamanites, that lesson is the number one lesson of importance, don't hang on to grudges, forgive our family for what has happened.

What's amazing is that when they went back to their home to gather up the possessions to take to Laban that Laman and Lamual didn't decide to just stay.
They also saw an angel and were murmuring right after, in the very next verse 🙄. However, then they followed along and went right to the walls of Jerusalem. They did somethings right, sometimes. Briefly showed obedience, at times. Ehhhh, it may have been something with the logistics that left them no choice but to go along or be left behind. I would like to give benefit of the doubt, even to murmuring boys. 😁
I have always kind of watched but this time I committed to studying along. I'm glad I did! I bought the Journal scriptures and it has helped me loads to be able to write things down. Almost every line is taken and I've used the margins where needed. I pause each day after that section and start it up the next. It doesn't take long and I feel like I can absorb more that way. I've always loved the story of Lehi and his family.
The world in Lehi’s dream is our literal world!! A world surrounded by mists, darkness, truths being taken and twisted. A world where we MUST cling to the true truth. The truth found in the scriptures, the words from living prophets and apostles, personal revelation!!. Not from scholars, historians, “influencers”. ( the people in the building)

Listening today I thought for the first time when the most comes those that are lost have to reach for the iron rod. The rod wasn’t moving to find them. They had to reach maybe hoping there was something to help them. How often do we reach for the scriptures when our mist comes and do we reach because we know he will deliver us. It always cracked me up that Laman and Lemuel threw such fits about going back to Jerusalem for the plates…but when they got sent back to for the ladies, they were cool with that. 😂 Obviously they complained on the way back, but going there…not a peep!

My question would be, why didn’t they just go back? What was the reason they felt like they had to be with their dad? Why were they so dependent upon their dad if they were in their 20’s or older?

15:53 We sometimes forget to think from Laman and Lemuel's perspective. They tried getting the plates in all legality and failed. Here goes Nephi, who kills Laban, and gets the plates by deceiving Zoram. I can see why they forgot the Lord because all they may see is that Nephi got the plates by "his own craftiness". No wonder that later they wanted to kill him because they may think that Nephi might try to kill them to get his way and rule over them. Now, the question is how might we consolidate this point of view with the fact that God had a hand in this. Seems like Laman and Lemuel didn't ask God (at least with enough sincerity). They chose not to follow Jesus, but they didn't have it easy either.

I looked up the scripture reference. But I don't know what you mean in the video you have written in that space other people as the answer from the Lord. Have I misunderstood something? I completely agree with the importance of forgiveness with the addition that one can forgive and allow distance whether physical, emotional or both.
You never cease to remind me of a God who knows where your lost family members are. Those you have great hopes for.

The building is the deception it's the con. It is the concept of happiness in contrast to the tree. But it isn't true happiness because it IS A CON.
