  • The Lea Valley Walk is an 84km trail from Limehouse in East London to Luton, following the course of the River Lea or Lee for most of its length. Whilst it finishes close to the source of the Lee, it doesn't visit the river's confluence with the Thames, and so I've modified it to include that.
In this video I walk from Bromley-by-Bow station to join the trail at Bow Locks, and then walk down the Limehouse Cut to Limehouse where the official trail starts. I then head east through the Isle of Dogs to visit the confluence and walk up the Lea back to Bow Locks, and continue on from there to Lea Bridge.
Inspired by John Rogers @JohnRogersWalks whose video of walking the lower parts of the Lea spurred me on to getting out and walking it. His video is much better and more entertaining than mine so do check it out.

Great stuff. Always nice to do a walk without the backpack and lots of options for lunch/tea.
