No matter how many times I watch Kindergarten Cop I still laugh like it's the 1st time I'm seeing it. Classic.
Sleepy Hollow looks absolutely amazing in 4k. It was like seeing the movie for the first time in theaters. One of the best 4k films I’ve ever seen.
Ah, True Lies. The fact that Jamie Lee Curtis’ fall, during the hotel scene was an accident, is like my favorite fact of that whole movie 😂

Yo! I remember “My Science Project” I use to get that movie confused with “weird science” but I remember My Science Project because the love interest was also Richie’s girl from “La Bamba”
I grabbed The Iron Claw, Dune Part One, Batman Beyond complete series steelbook, A Quiet Place two pack, Talk to Me, and MI:7 Part 1 all on blu ray last month and I have watched The Iron Claw 3 times since watching it at home. Absolutely one of the best of 2023
When Evil Lurks was the best reviewd horror film of 2023. It makes sense they want to hit you in the head with that fresh tomato. 😂
Where Evil Lurks will always be a win for me for having the balls to put that dog scene in the movie... the most shocked I've ever been in a film
If Primal Fear is your favorite courtroom drama, watch 12 Angry Men! It's probably the best courtroom drama ever made. For a B&W movie made in the 1950s, it holds up very well!

Cody, the latest 4K release of Terminator 2 has all three versions of the films. It’s the 4K steelbook that I believe you have.
Not a single version of T2 has the Extended Cut in 4K.

Nice haul! Yeah, both True Lies, and Dead Alive are on DVD (in fact, I found a DVD copy of Dead Alive at a Half Price Books a few days ago). There is a rumor that Peter Jackson is planning on releasing a 4K of Dead Alive/Braindead sometime soon, so be on the lookout for that.
I had a great month for my collection. Finally, finally FINALLY got Richard Stanley's Hardware and Dust Devil, Lord of Illusions, Martyrs, High Tension, Frontier(s) and Inside on bd.
That was a pretty penny but they've been on my bucket list for years. Glad I got an all region player. Opens up so much good stuff.
Great pickups, Cody! I love Primal Fear and Paramount did a good 4k transfer.
I got true lies this last week and man I love 90s Arnold give me that nostalgic feeling every time I put his movies on
You've only watched American Psycho once that's surprising. I've seen it at least 20 times. One of my favorites. Kudos for keeping physical media alive. Not many of us left.

The Alien anthology set does have the original and special editions of each films and I'm very happy they kept the director's cut of Aliens on 4K. Hear your frustrations on waiting to get the extended edition when it comes to Blu-ray, put not only the theatrical cut but the alternate editions and features on the complete set on 4K and Blu-ray

Watched braindead for the first time a couple weeks ago it’s one of the greatest zombie movies I’ve ever seen, it’s gnarly af, and gives me evil dead’s vibes.
Looking forward to this zombie themed month you speak of! The zombie sub genre has always been my favorite but I am firmly prepared for you to not be very fond of any of them lmao 🤣 most people I know think zombie stuff is boring.

Dead Alive was put out on dvd. It is one of my most cherished dvds as it is, as you said, very hard to get ahold of. I do still have my VHS of this from childhood as well. I am totally jealous of your br copy tho! Nice find.

It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and A Charlie Brown Christmas happen to be on 4K for crying out loud.
Man, only watching American Psycho once?! it’s a film that gets even better on rewatch and is endlessly quotable.. either that, or I’m just a sick twisted person…

Conan the Barbarian is by far one of my favorite Arnold movies ever along with Terminator and T2. I really think you will like it much more than the Destroyer, as it's a hard R for the time while Destroyer is PG 13 at best if not PG. NOT TO MENTION A GREAT PERFORMANCE BY JAMES EARL JONES.
Ohhh can't wait for a review of Braindead, the movie is insanely good for a movie so few people have seen.

Bro you convinced me to go watch iron claw low key. I’m a huge wrestling fan and I was worried they would add Hollywood theatrics to the von Erick story but you made it sound pretty spot on so I’m gonna check it out. So far your suggestions haven’t steered me wrong before.
True Lies definitely got a normal DVD release - it’s in my collection and one of my top 10 films of all time, as stupid as it may be!
Dude I’m really excited that you picked up Braindead! I’ve been very curious to know what your thoughts are on it. It’s one of my personal favorites, but it might not be for everyone. I definitely recommend it to people who enjoy fun cheesy horror movies with a lot of blood in it and this thing has tons of it lol. I hope you enjoy it man!

I love My Science Project as well, I bought the Kino Lorber disc a few years ago and just looked up the price after I notice you picked up the Spanish version and holy crap is expensive now. I won't sell it though, a fun movie that I watch every 2-3 years. I had it on Laserdisc back in the day.

I will say that I didn't cry when I went and saw The Iron Claw but I had my mouth wide open and my eyes were wide and I was on the verge of tears. I also just bought it this past Saturday
I didn't cry either. But MAN! I felt the weight of the tragedies that happened.

Yeah I didn’t think it was good as people were saying it was when I watched it in theatres but I brought the dvd of it and I think they edited it at the start with all the swearing in the movie in the first few scenes 😂 so hopefully I will enjoy it more when I watch the dvd again soon lol 😂

True Romance is Tony Scott's best film followed by Crimson Tide... but yea, they're up there. Shows how amazing of a director he was.

In all honesty, Tony Scott was not that great of a director. He was decent at best. But a lot of his movies were not very good. True Romance was definitely a stinker.
The Last Boyscout and Beverly Hills Cop 2 are his only great movies.
Though Crimson Tide is really good and is one of his best.
