Bought one of these today when my 25 year old Hoover broke last night. I just finished doing the high traffic areas and the carpet looks new again 😎. Hopefully this one will last 20 years too.
Fantastic. This is a great carpet cleaner
This carpet cleaner makes the most since. I have always used Bissell, but there is only 1 tank. So your putting soap and water in the tank and starting to clean the dirty carpet. The dirt gets pulled into the same tank. You are basically putting dirty water back on the carpet every time you do a new area. This one has two tanks. 1 for clean water and the other for the dirty water. That just makes a whole lot of sense to me.
Agreed. I had the single tank machines they were problematic!
I always love your reviews but the shampooers are my favorite! Wonderful video as always!
Thanks so much.
Did lots of research before I bought this. It works great!!!
Yes it does
I never used a Hoover carpet cleaner before if I wanted to get one I go for the Smart Wash because it’s similar to the Bissell Proheat 2x Revolution but my favorite carpet cleaners are Bissells and also fantastic job as always
This is a good one
@VacMaster1991 this takes the compatibility of their cleanslate portable and puts it into an upright
Awesome.
Yes.
Great video. Question more like a request. Can we see you deep vacuuming your carpet that the litter pan sits on and see you shampoo it too with a water dump please. ?
Possibly
Curious how this one compares to the Bissell Revolution Pro Pet? As easy to maneuver? Is it easy to clean afterward? Also, with the rotating brushes is it any harder to push on the carpet than the Bissell? Did the carpets dry any faster than with the Revolution? Thanks.
It's pretty nice. The dirty water tank is much larger. I was able to clean this entire room in one tank full
@@Vcafr0 the same I believe
the option I miss, I wish there was just a knob to turn off the solution tank... yes pulling it isn't hard to get water only, , but my last one had that function and I liked the water only clearly displayed.
I wish it had that too. That was a great feature.
I never used any other carpet cleaning machine before this one. Do you feel this machine is quite conservative about cleaning solution usage? I’ve cleaned my carpet several times but I didn’t see any significant solution consumption. Just wondering if that’s only me.
Yes it doesn't use a lot of solution.
how often should the brushes be detached and cleaned/soaked? And can we use our own solution like vinegar and water, without damaging the machine? Thank you
About every 3 uses or so
Mine doesn’t have the water going thru it at the bottom. Like the bottom water tank is still empty.
Check if the tank in closed. Also see if it's in place properly
Should you wash first and then rinse or rinse first and then wash? I’ve watched a few different videos now and get conflicting information.
ALWAYS wash first. Rinsing first would mean leaving soap in the carpet. Soap first water after.
Any issues with the scrubbers since? I have a Hoover that I got last yr and I think the motor rusted already so now the brushes don't spin
The brushes work fine
I just got this model, but the separate tank for the solution is not auto mixing. The level in that tank has been the same and I've cleaned four carpets. I thought it was working because the dirty water tank was disgusting, when I look to see if I needed a refill the solution tank it stayed at the same level. Any ideas on what to do?
See if the little nozzle on the cap is stuck. Push it and water should come out
I had mine on deep cleaning option but I noticed it does not have a “rinse” option. Does it rinse on its on?
To rinse. Remove the small solution tank on the back
So we're all just going to ignore the big hole in his socks? lmao. Great video though thank you for the demonstration!
Lol. Those where an old pair for cleaning use
Church socks .. 🙌🏼 🧦 😅
Just used one for the first time. Question: How do you rinse with just water? Do you have to completely empty the tank w/added solution after shampooing, then just add water, to properly rinse?
The machine has a little tank for just solution. Remove the solution tank and it will rinse
@@VacMaster1991 Unless I'm missing something, the solution goes directly into the main water tank. I have the Hoover Power Scrub XL Model# FH68010V.
Ahh ok. My power scrub xl is a different model. Yours doesn't have the mini solution only tank. Ok so dump out the old solution and fill the tank with water only
@@VacMaster1991 Well now I'm jealous of your model as then I could just spot clean and rinse. But with my model if I fill the tank and add the recommended amount of solution, I have to use it all up before rinsing because if I don't then I'd be wasting solution, and that stuff ain't cheap.
In the ones that don't have separate thanks I just pour out the water with solution. Carpet solution is expensive but there is not much I can do. I don't want to keep wetting an area just to use up water
my hoover is not putting out or picking up water just got it
Make sure all the tanks are sealed in place
What is the suction like of this unit and how wet does it leave the carpet?
It's pretty good. The carpet is just a little damp afterwards.
@@VacMaster1991 The main factor that I look for is the amount of water that a unit extracts from the carpet. Some that I have tested are so bad that say with a gallon of water used I have been lucky to get at least half extracted. And this is with serval very slow dry passes.
@@cyri2 the machine that extracts the most water is the Bissell big green.
@@VacMaster1991 I have that machine as well but fell that the hoover spin scrub models do a good job as well
Hi, what is the antifoam solution? Thank you!
Its Essential Values spa defoamer.
How. Do I. Remove him from tank for cleeaning
?
This doesn't help cause your carpet is already clean
I can't help that much. I don't wear shoes in the house and I live in the desert, so no mud.
About how loud it this? I’ve got really sensitive ears.
It's decently loud. Basically all carpet cleaners are loud. Ear plugs would fix that..
What are you using for anti foam agent?
It's hot tub defoamer
@@VacMaster1991 Thank you! :D
@@VacMaster1991 what brand and how much do you use?
Trigger used or not?
Yes
Just bought this today. Honestly not impressed. No heating for the water, multiple passes. Got it for $130 on sale. Now I know why.
The only carpet cleaner that heats water is the Bissell revolution hydro steam. And most carpet cleaners need multiple passes to work
@@VacMaster1991 Thanks, I had issues with water getting to the vacuum head initially and that was starting to discourage me already, lol.
One wet pass. One dry pass. All carpet cleaners need that
You get what you pay for.
Guess so
