Alcohol and cigarettes addiction actually destroyed my life. I could remember several years ago after divorce with my wife which brought me into my disastrous journey on Alcohol and cigarettes. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Got diagnosed with cptsd. Not until a friend recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Much respect to mother nature the great magic shrooms.
Amen God bless people. Save your health save your mind. Life is better without heroin, cocaine, alcohol and cigarettes. And you have more money in your pocket. God bless everyone who has rejected the devils intentions to be addicted to alcohol and cigarettes etc which can cause so much damage to health.
Can you help me with the reliable source 🙏. I'm 56 and have suffered for years with addiction, anxiety and severe ptsd, I got my panic attacks under control myself years ago and they have come back with a vengeance, I'm constantly trying to take full breaths but can't get the full satisfying breath out, it's absolutely crippling me, i live in Australia. I don't know much about these mushrooms. Really need a reliable source!! Can't wait to get them.
YES very sure of Dr.benfungi. I have the same experience with anxiety, depression, PTSD and addiction and Mushrooms definitely made a huge huge difference to why am clean today.
I'm really happy for you that your friend decided to help you...I hear about alot of family members or so called friends shutting an addict out of their life, which since most addicts do it to mask emotions to me is the worse thing someone can do to an addict.
How do I reach out to him? Is he on insta
I quit cigarettes with vaping and quit vaping with zyn. Used zyn for a couple weeks and just weaned myself off and then went to sunflower seeds and gum, now I haven't had nicotine in 3 years. My addiction with vaping and smoking I think was really more to do with the physical aspect. The Zyn helped me with the nicotine withdrawal but I still wanted the feeling of "smoking." But it definitely helped me.
Did you use 3mg or 7mg?
What does Sunflower seeds do for you?? Is it just something to replace nicotine or do you get something from it?
@@jesusfreak7777 I started with 6 mg for about 2 weeks moved down to 4mg “on! Brand” pouches for 2 weeks then to 2mg pouches until I used them less and less. Eventually the last time I bought a can I didn’t even want them anymore.I always used wintergreen. So then I’d switch to wintergreen gum and alternate between. It got to where I only wanted the nicotine pouch when I woke up and would forget about it by my morning shower. I think tapering off of the nicotine is key.
@@HellyeahGaming75 I think it’s more for the oral fixation. I’d be used to having a zyn when I mowed the grass, or sat at the computer for a few hours working. I’d just use sunflower seeds or gum instead and it takes my mind off of it. I also always got salty and sugar cravings when I’d try to quit it helps curb your appetite so you’re not replacing the nicotine with snacks or sweets.
I am on the exact same path as you, down to my last 4 zyn pouches now watching this video to help lol
Brilliant presentation! This video should be seen by everyone before they start to use any addictive product.
I came here because of a news article. I stayed because of your objective, factual discussion.
You are really one of the greatest guys I’ve seen, talk about this. I’m a young buck. And I’ve kinda been bit by the nicotine bug. I don’t go hardcore. I take one or two every or every other Friday night. I am so glad to see someone be really transparent with Zyn and its issues, along with its beneficiaries compared to other nicotine products. I hope to ween off the chase for the buzz. Thank you.
Surprisingly transparent for someone who works to get people to quit. Thank you.
Yea but for me the one worry is that he’s also announcing at the end that he’s basically going to make a competing product, which makes me worry about his transparency and potential bias
@commodoren64 Hi! I heard Zyn makes users lose weight fast. I'm not a smoker, but I'm considering using Zyn for a month to drop 20-30lbs. Advise please
@@0423francisco are you joking? You do not need nicotine to lose weight. Eat less. Eat better. Move your body. Only use nicotine if you want to. I say this because I am a pipe smoker. But I would never advise using an addictive substance for weight loss. It could be harder to quit than you realize.
@@0423francisco don’t do it, in the long term it’s simply not worth it. Follow a good diet plan and make sure you’re exercising and you WILL lose weight. If you take the zyns you will be left with a nicotine addiction that will not only cost you loads in the future, but it’s also gonna ruin your health
@@0423francisco I’m not sure why it didn’t post when I responded days ago. Long story short, I would not advise using addictive substances for weight loss. Especially if you are not a tobacco/nicotine user to begin with, do not start unless you want to use for enjoyment. Eat less, Eat better, move your body.
Today marks 1 year since I quit smoking weed. I remember watching your videos when I first quit and they really helped me get through the rough beginning. I just wanted to say thank you for what you do. I'm never smoking again.

Dr. Frank, so grateful I found your channel today. Your content is going to make these next few weeks significantly easier for me. You have a lot of very wise things to say and thanks for doing what you do!
I recently watched your thc withdrawal video, thank you for putting it into perspective
Thank you for making this video. I’m 6 years sober from alcohol but picked up smoking in recovery. I’ve since switched to zyn and have been experiencing the exact aspertame effects and never put 2 and 2 together.
thanks for doing this video, no one else seems to talk about these things like you. I was an ecig smoker for years and it did get me off cigarettes but i had heart fluctuations and an awful cough with what seemed to be a boil in my throat. I then smoked heets for years and that gave me terrible sinus problems, as well i have a nasal drip. I have been using zyn and nordic spirit on an off for the past 2 years. One side effect is that they do cause stomach problems for me, especially diahorrea like symptoms. Im in ireland and one ingredient in them here is guar gum which i know causes these symptoms when its in sugar free candy. Coming off zyn is hard and it makes me dip back into taking heets, ive been in this circle for a few years now. As others say they are hard to stop, its an intense hit, although my friends who have taken them have came off cigarettes. Keep doing the videos , you speak the truth about nicotene addiction.
Really good video, very quick delivery of lots of information in an understandable way 😊
What an incredible job you did in presenting the information in this video! Thank you very much.
Thanks for doing the research for me. You saved me hours of my life. Thank you again
Good stuff man! Very informative. Thank you!
You should honestly be presented with a diploma in the field of tobacco studies for this video. Thanks for your thorough insight!
You're literally the only one to break these pouches down properly and actually say the differences in the nicotine in them nobody else does this. Sub to your channel.
I have problems with addiction and I can't kick them on my own so it's good to have somebody like you and my corner.
Been using dip/chewing Tobacco for 10+ years. And recently have switched to Zyn, trying to stop entirely. It’s a cheaper solution, I don’t have gross spit bottles and have chew in my teeth, and I realized I use less Zyn(s) in a day if I were to dip fully. I would do a can of dip a day and now only use 3-5 zyn a day. So saving money, doing less and less of a mess. Hope to quit eventually
Does it ship to Canada? How much is it?
@@kennethjoseph2353asking him as if he works for them 😂 🤦🏽♂️

Nice. I'm addicted to Zyn and have trouble limiting my use. Might switch to Velo because of the info in this video. Seems like if it absorbs more slowly than Zyn that it would also be slightly less addictive and lack of aspartame might make a difference. Been trying to get on nicotine patches to taper down even more, but keep going back to Zyn.
@@kennethjoseph2353 I can get it at many places here in the US, so I'd guess you could get it. It's about $6 here for a 15 pack.

Thank you for educating me on this
I really appreciate your educational videos and services you do. You’re doing god’s work.
Happy to say I am now a nonsmoker for many years!!
I appreciate this. Speaking a whole lot of facts.
Can you please do a video comparing some of the tobacco free pouches, say Zyn to White Fox? Love how deep you go into where it’s derived from and other additives such as aspartame. Would love to hear you take on White fox by GN tobacco
I love dipping but I think it’s time to give it up. Never start if you haven’t but odds are if your watching you already have.
I’ve been using Zyn to help me stop vaping/smoking because I started to get a nasty cough and what felt like a slime ball in my throat all the time. I plan to ween myself off completely, I don’t want to be 25 and still addicted to nicotine! Thanks for the vid
25! You got this you are fckin young. I would suggest not putting a age on when you need to quit by. It doesn't really work like that.
I've been a smoker for over 20 years. I've done dip for 14 years During that 20 years, there would be times i didnt smoke but icwould dip. I dipped a can a day. Im now useing ZYN its working for me i have not use and dip i have smoked about 7 cigarettes a day but im really digging ZYN. We can go on and on AnD on with whats bad whats good for us. I rather put ZYN in my mouth then 7,000 chemicals in my mouth.... Wish me luck im trying.
Please do a top 5 best and worst Nic pouches based on ingredients
Thank you so much for this man.
Very informative, thank you
Thank you for being one of the few people talking about this. I’ve had a Zyn addiction for about 5 years and have recently seen them flood the market everywhere.
I’m on day 3 cold turkey after being on a pack of 6mg a day. (80mg nicotine a day). I’m going to make it through this. I’m on vacation in Mexico where there’s no Zyn or snus available so I’ll make it!
Vacations are great a way to cut an addiction quickly, i would just recommend writing down explicitly why you quit so when you come back and zyns are available, you can easily remind yourself why youre doing what you are
@@spidle2653 Thanks for the tip. I just got back and the cravings are everywhere!
The physical withdrawal seems to be pretty much 90% gone but the habit and cravings have come back with a vengeance now that I'm getting back into my old routine.
Sitting at my desk. Want to pop a zyn.
Driving. Want to pop a zyn.
Finishing cup of coffee in the morning. Want to pop a zyn in.
I am seeing where the habit is so woven into my life and the challenge with it.
I have not slipped up yet but this entire ordeal has given me a lot more empathy for smokers trying to quit.
On vacation myself and I was dry for 2 weeks. It wasn't bad. I saw that I was on edge for a day or two. I found a gas station that sold SHIRO. It was ok.
How did it go? I quit On! pouches as of yesterday, and I am also going on vacation in a few days.
@@MrMomoitin You might get some extreme frustration and very short fuse for the next 2 weeks :D I am clean over 1.5 months myself, did 10-16mg pouches every day. Most days i went through the whole can and had extreme fatique and even headaches.
My parents each smoked 2 packs a day, and I started smoking when I was 12. I enlisted in the Army when I was 18 and continued to smoke (a pack a day) until I reclassed to infantry. I then switched from smoking to dip and did that for 4 years. At 27 I started my quit journey by starting with nicotine gum, then 21mg patches, and I settled on 4mg lozenges. I took 2 at a time (8mg) every waking moment for a few years... Then, one day I woke up and said, "I don't need this anymore."
Its been 15 years, I've restored my teeth, gotten a few implants, completed Invisalign, and now have a confident and radiant smile. I live everyday remembering what it was like to be a slave to nicotine.
If you're thinking about quitting, I suggest looking at Alan Carr's method to stop smoking. That really put my addition and dependency into perspective. I wish you the best - The other side is... Much more peaceful and empowering.
Thank you for this!
Snus is deeply rooted in our culture here in Scandinavia.
It’s so engraved in generations that literally 8/10 people does it. Male and female.
Your channel has helped me on the journey of sobriety and I’m currently on day 10.
It’s so hard but I won’t fail this time.
Been snusing since I was 17 and I’m now 25.
A bit of advice from someone who quit 7 years ago, try not to replace the habit with a “healthier” option. I quit using sunflower seeds, and now ANY time I have sunflower seeds my urge to dip returns.
But not 8/10 lol
What does snus do
@@xodusgraphicdesigns3384 the nicotine in the snus gives you abit of a rush. its a central stimulant so it can help you with focusing (from my own experience, i believe it can vary from person to person). the effect of the rush will hit harder when trying it for the first time. trying low nicotine snus for the first time will make you feel dizzy and light headed, so its not recomended going for the strong stuff first, as it WILL make you nauseous and prone to throwing up (experience of a friend of mine). if im going to be honest, i dont really recomend using it at all as its addicting and is a waste of money in my opinion.
I was in Oslo Norway last week and I was honestly surprised at how few people I saw smoking and or vaping. Honestly, I can count on one hand the amount of people I saw doing it.
Is this just because everybody secretly had nicotine pouches in their mouthes? haha
Been vaping four years straight prettty much and lost my vape yesterday and bought a pack of nordic and would have definitely lapsed and bought a disposable vape if i hadnt, hope i can keep this up
Recommendation of quitting Smoking: Based on where you are at in the timeline:
Smoking> Vaping > Dip Or Pouches + Carbonated Drinks (Sparkling Water) with Zyn (it helps with the throw hit alot of smokers/vapers enjoy) Then Sunflower Seeds/Gun + Sparkling Water
Also I recommend starting FRESH each day, like if you are gonna switch, smoke that day and then following day transition into vaping, same thing with dip or anything else.
I hope that helps :)
This is what we need, everyone should be completely informed of all the pros and cons of each product and for people to make there own minds up in what they wish to use. Whay govenment or company tells us all those? Probably none. High taxation and banning doesnt work either just drives it underground and makes it more risky for everyone.
I’ve been using black buffalo for a few weeks. It tears my lip up, almost worse than regular dip. Thanks for the info!
This video brings back a lot of bad memories. After vaping for 3 years I began chewing Zyns & grizzly tobacco pouches to give my lungs a break. Looking back chewing was a terrible habit to get into. You can do it anywhere at anytime and not have to worry about the smell of smoke being on your clothes. And it's expensive as hell (gotta love the Minnesota tax). Quit cold turkey and I'm 43 days clean. Some days are still pretty hard but I'm sticking with it

I use ON nicotine pouches. It's basically the exact same as Zyn. I've been using it for about 3-4 years. I have one in my mouth from the time I wake up until the time I sleep. I've noticed my anxiety is getting very bad and I have no joy or motivation for life. I also used to want to pursue woman and now I have zero sex drive. It's so difficult to quit. You have to stop eating for 5 days to be able to quit nicotine, it's the easiest way I think.
Stop eating completely but not drinking and you will see that it will help you a lot at first.
It's hard but you can do it!
Thanks for the video
I used On! Nicotine pouches to quit vaping after an 11 year habit. Been using the pouches for 2 years, and I'm having some pretty serious issues. The worst is the constant debilitating stomach pain - just an overall sick feeling, no energy, depression/anxiety, and they turned my teeth brown where the pouch touches them. Its at the point where the nicotine withdrawal is less painful than continuing to use them. Plus, using an entire can a day gets costly. Ive got some nicotine patches to help me through, but im done with nicotine.
Thrilled to hear you are quitting! Yeah it’s not worth it at all.
Nicotine is annoying to quit the first 24 -48 is a joy or pain
Being an avid 1 pack - 1 1/2 packs a day smoker of Marlboro red 100s, I was able to quit cold turkey after about 5 years of smoking. I chose stopping so abruptly because I tried many different vapes and found them all too gross (both manual fill and pod fill). The juice would leak and go in my mouth/throat, it was all sticky if it got on your hands. Overall, I just never had a good experience. I was fortunate enough to get myself to quit the way I did and have been roughly nicotine free for about 2 years now. However, I know people that do these ZYN pouches this video gave me great information about them and whether or not they’re a good supplement for the smoking habit. Pretty much I wrote this just to say thank you. Haven’t found a video really breaking things down like this.
Cool doc interesting 👍 thanks
I’m working out how to quit nicotine so this is perfect, cheers. Plus I watched ur video on how to quit weed and it really helped. I stopped for 6 months but I guess I didn’t quit but I’ve got a really healthy relationship now with it I just smoke on the weekends now and go without no problem. So thanks
That still counts as a win to me. Its very common to over do things that bring comfort or happy feelings. Moderation is king. It should be a nice little accent to life, not a ruler you are a slave to. Everyone is different, and its hard to speak in generalities about addiction, but dr drew said its when it starts affecting your life negatively, it's a problem. I have to agree. Been off heroin for 5 yrs, so i have some experience. Good on you, you have learned an important hard-fought lesson. Hope you're doing ok.
Btw, was a serious pothead for 10 yrs prior. Pills and expendable income was my downfall lol.

Bet goanna start zyn soon
I'm a former snuser from Sweden. In my opinion snus is the most addictive nicotine product on the market. It's easy to use and you can use it everywhere without anyone complaining. It also contains much more nicotine than cigarettes. The problems I noticed was getting pains and aches from the restricted blood circulation in my body. Regarding velo and the artificial snus products, I think they are worse than the original snus with pure tobacco. I snused Velo for 2 months and I had headaches every day and got extremely tired. My mood was very low and I felt sick. It disappeared right after I quit. I do not recommend these products to anyone since they are very hard to quit.
I had those same effects recently. I just quit. Thanks for leaving this comment
thanks for your comment, im in the UK here and used nordic spirit for 2 years and i agree with all you say. I was in sweden too this year and they have loads of different brands some of them containing ridiculous amount of nicotene. The 4 mg ones are the lowest here and they still give me an intense rush. I have had stomach problems and also a cough when using too much. Trying to ween off to one a day and give up. They are exactly like snuff. No difference.
i hate snus so much. Trying to quit it for good, but very hard to do so.
It has been way easier to run and lift weights when i didn't do any snus for the whole day. Doesn't even make you feel good doing snus, just have to do it because it is addictive.
Wish nicotine never existed at all or atleast that it was illegal worldwide.
I have exactly the same symptoms. How long does it take to go back to normal after you quit?
What!! I had headache EVERYDAY aswell, but once i quit it was gone after day 2-3. I did a trick buying Stimol Gum that tasted like the snus I used and put the gum up my lip. Think it did trick my brain cuz it worked.
Im so upset with myself because I quit vaping and smoking for 3 years and it was great and one time while I was drinking I accepted a cigarette and went into addiction again i do say no nicotine is so much better than anything but when I switched to zyn from cigarettes it honestly is the closest thing to being nicotine free for me at least the feeling, cigarettes make me feel gross groggy, lazy and just feel all around bad but zyn really makes me feel awake and clean and good I still plan on going clean again but I also do say if you are going to do nicotine no matter what i would go the zyn route, great video by the way
I cant stop thinking abiut this video. U should make a master list of products what type of nic additives etc. Just a thought
Just wanted to point out that you kept saying "aspartame" rather than acesulfame potassium (ace k), which are two completely different chemical sweeteners.

I'm 53 yrs old. I started dipping Copenhagen at 14 yrs old and did so until the late 90s when it became super expensive. I switched to the cheaper Grizzly snuff until it became expensive as well. Then I tried Longhorn pouches (at the time it was $1.49/can) but now it's increasing to over $2/can but I do feel like the pouches are a little safer than loose snuff and I've always been mindful of moving it around, not leaving it in any one spot for too long. I've started putting the pouch under my tongue sometimes, as well.
Anyway, I started trying a nicotine pouch called "ON" (8mg) after an oral surgery procedure and I kind of like them. Although I'm sure the nicotine pouches are safer than regular tobacco pouches your video has me worried about the aspartame absorption now. Maybe there's a non-flavored nicotine pouch that is free from aspartame.
I just got some Zyn today, it has Ace K for sweetener which is used in some brands of mouthwash. Suppose to be safe on teeth and does not promote mouth bacteria.

On! Original 8MG is basically 'flavorless" no added flavoring at all to my understanding. I haven't tried it personally but maybe that's what you're looking for. I think some other brands make a flavorless version as well, ZYN Smooth 6mg might be another one to consider.

Is there any literature on isolated nicotine on the cardio vascular system that doesn’t include studies on cigarettes ?
Nobody talks about constrictions of the blood vessels (vasoconstriction) with snus. It's nice, good focus, good poops, but you feel different in your body with or without a pouch. Idk I notice very little stiffness, less fluidity, but more focus.
Edit (17:13) you mentioned blood vessel constriction

ive been smoking and vaping for couple years. been getting chest pains so switched to zyn. it helps but its still addiction. i definetly feel the mind fog and just being pure lazy through out the day. im trying to cut and quit.
my gums have suffered though in such a short time its kinda scary lol
General wintergreen is great i stopped tho started zyn need to stop those as well
I would say there’s just too many unknowns about all these ingredients on top of the addiction which makes them horrible for our health. Maltitol is in Zyn which can spike blood sugar. Be interesting to wear a CGM and Zyn to see if there’s a spike.
In zyn at least the only ingredients are food grade that are in gum and some sodas and then nicotine which is proven to be harmless just so ya know the only downside like any addictive substance is dopamine issues down the road hope this helps!
I'm going to list the ingredients from the products we have here in Sweden:
Filler (E460), distilled water, nicotine, flavourings, salt, propylene glycol, , acidity regulators (E500), sweeteners (E955).
Another one has:
Filler (E460), water, plant fibres, thickeners (E401), flavourings, stabilisers (E415), salt, acidity regulators (E501), sweeteners (E950).
None of these are particularly harmful.
Can you make a video on nicotine gum?
I new my stuff so I love to pull video a part like this just to see if they a Wrong on something
I think you are saying SNUS . Am I correct? Thanks for your reply
The main reason why I’m watching this video is simply because I have a lot of trouble with staying focused/concentration. It’s been that way my entire life I really don’t want to jump on medication. But I also do not want to get addicted to something.
I do try to utilize herbal supplements, such as ginkgo biloba, Huperzine-A. Etc.
I started Zyn when I decided to stop taking adderrall after 10 years. I did a ton of research on ways to self medicate for my ADHD symptoms and nicotine was by far the most effective way to achieve what I wanted. I tried On, Velo, and Zyn. Zyn was the best tasting and didn’t cause the same gum irritation that On and Velo did. I am very thankful to be free of adderrall.
lmao

u quit adderall to get addicted to nicotine ?😂😂shi make zero sense bro
I smoked 2 packs of cigs a day it was terrible and expensive, and I now use zyn or fre what ever is on sale and about 6 a day sometimes more or less but it's been great not to worry about a cig or feel the need for a cig somewhere I couldn't smoke it's been a life saver for me
adderall is equivalent to meth lite. nicotine is comparable to caffeine...i think he made the better choice@@superflylev1
I absolutely abhor snuff, tried once as a kid and nope, I’m all good on that. Care about my teeth too much.
I am thinking about trying these pouches out though since they’re just nicotine.
I really need to stop smoking.
Been a smoker for 18 years at this point without ever stopping.
Brother I was able to quit smoking and vaping with these Zyn pouches, but I want to quit.
Progress is key 🔥
Nicotine salt or burning and inhaling nicotine. Could make it complex if nicotine is bad for you or how bad it is
What about the unflavor zyn and can you do a video on camel snus?
Can you reference the studies or sources where you got the info about the different rates of absorption between nicotine salts in Zyn and tobacco derived nicotine in Velo?
Yes it will take me a bit. I can tell you where it’s from though, there was a massive class action lawsuit against juul they use salts as well (I pulled it from that suit) with that said a google search should pull it up quickly, dr Huberman also discussed it on his podcast about nicotine comparing it to “crack” due to the rapid absorption of salts. Having done skoal and Zyn I can tell you too from a user experience I felt it first hand. I hated the salts TBH hits to fast and to hard
@@AddictionMindset oh interesting, I will definitely want to check out that lawsuit. I should be able to track it down with that info. Thank you dr!
@@AddictionMindsetI was always weary of nic salts. I tried them and had my gallbladder basically squeeze out bile into my stomach, creating a massive PAINFUL ulcer. Bad news bears.
New here. Do you think I should start off with pouches? Or is vaping better?
Is nicotine polacrilex safe for quitting cigarettes and vaping?
I was prescribed 2mg from a doctor in the form of gum. I’ve vaped and smoked for a long time and I’m trying anything at this point to quit.
Yes totally worth a shot 😎
Acesulfame potassium is not aspartame you should put that in the description so people don’t get confused
I tried some nicotine gum a few days ago. I became extremely dizzy and disoriented, I felt sick and my heart was racing. I went to a nearby hospital for assistance. I was truly shocked by my reaction to this stuff. I'm not a smoker I heard TC talking about nicotine and Zyn.
Do Velos cause bad gums? Does it decrease sexual function and sensation? I keep hearing that Velos or nic pouches increase sexual experience. Does any long term users have any answers?
Just FYI, when I first started using snus products, (in upper lip) I had a little bit of saliva that I needed to spit, but once I got used to it, the portion stayed dry and I didn’t need to spit or swallow for that matter.
I feel sort of stupid on how long it took me to realise it was the nicopods causing all the health problems I am having and I've had every symptom that you've said at the start.
