    The problem is that there is no system in place that ensures all teachers will be teaching to their fullest potential. DepEd simply bombard teachers with so many paper works. Resources are wasted on crafting "leanring intervention materials, modules, etc." when the problem is not really about the materials, but whether all teachers are really teaching. So DepEd MUST ensure that all teachers are teaching. No distractions, no extra work, no attending of seminars during the school year. Just teaching. All other challenges that prevents teachers from teaching well must be addressed by DepEd.
    Performance based Bonus must be based on PERFORMANCE to be guage among the students. Example, instead of teacher made test, NAT exam must be administered quarterly. The performance of the students in specific learning area will be the basis of their bonus.

    As always, so happy to watch the show. Learning from Stevie and eventually sharing it to others will be his legacy to both young ones and the young once. To Mimi, you’re such an amazing host. You both complement each other. On another note, even though the program is always “bitin”, I think there’s no need to have the time extended. 30 mins or less is already perfect. Sessions should be short yet meaningful and compact. And meetings should be like that. Cheers!

    He hit the point where he mentioned the best students of public schools not passing top PH university entrance exams. I'm a graduate of a local high school myself but I still needed the help of a sponsored tutorial service to pass my UPCAT. Just to pass, not even to ace. I didn't pass ACET at the time and was very bitter about it, only to know the difference in the curriculum being taught in top private HS like Ateneo, international schools like Brent, and science schools like the Pisay system. I only knew about it in my senior year, a little too late. I dropped my studies at UP and went on to finish my college at the top university in Korea and now pursuing my PhD at MIT. All are made possible with scholarships. A lot of people don't realize that when bright students from public schools pursue top scholarly paths abroad, it is done out of a sense of retaliation for having experienced a poorly designed, poorly executed public school curriculum in the Philippines.

    I agree with Steve's observation that most top students who graduated from public schools are unable to pass the entrance exams for top universities or qualify for CHED scholarships. Back in 2001, when I was a first-year engineering student at a state university, two of my classmates were valedictorians and three were salutatorians. When asked why they didn't go to UP, they all said they had failed the entrance exam, as well as the CHED scholarship program. One thing I noticed was that the classmates who did receive CHED scholarships were all from private schools.
    It's happening 20 years ago, and getting worst up to now.

    in the past if you fail the grade 1 you can't proceed to grade 2 or 3. but now you are guaranteed to next level regardless kung may natutunan ka or wala,. make sense because our education system is patterned to the US. which is becoming woke. pag may pa contest. 1st, 2nd 3rd, is being removed pinalitan ng participation trophy nalang, kasi nakakasira daw ng feelings sa mga hindi nanalo. its expected mawalan ka talaga ng gana mag excel....

    He is correct, based on my experienced working in public school in the past two years, I think our government should take a look into implementation of school-based feeding program, and its possibility of increasing the number of student beneficiaries especially in K-3. The 4Ps cash transfer must be revisited as well. Why not give food stamps instead of cash? Some 4Ps parents are only spending the money to non-essentials (buying cellphone, gambling).

    ✅️ One key "deliverable metric" Sen/Sec Angara should URGENTLY & CONSISTENTLY address (that has been neglected for the past 8 years) are the :
    ➡️ TEACHER to STUDENT CLASS SIZE to TEACHING LOAD VOLUME RATIO
    * the current gap is at 1: 70 : 6 instead of the "more acceptable" 1: 36 : 5 and the "ideal" 1 : 24 : 5
    > priority would be pre-school to kinder (1:24 max) grades 1 to 3 (1:30 max)
    ➡️ SCHOOL FACILITY to STUDENT POPULATION DENSITY Ratio
    * Instructional Classrooms
    * Science Laboratory
    * ICT Laboratory & Info Centre
    * Trade & Career Skills Shops
    * Speech & Multi-media Lab
    ➡️ Focus on the "EDUCATION FRONTLINES". DECONGEST the schools by providing more CLASSROOM TEACHERS and more CLASSROOMS.

    What people miss about Thailand is that it is connected with the rest of Asia by land. It is easy for one person to go to another country and say: "lets take a side trip to Thailand"
    In Europe it is the same.
    Here in the Philippines, tourist only have one choice. Us. And as the demographic of tourists are mostly middle to lower middle class, it would be really hard for them to be convinced to visit 1 country instead of 2-3.

    dapat international level and teaching to all schools no matter kung ano ang status sa society. kung ano ang level sa ateneo ganun din ang level sa public schools sa bansa. Higher Math is democratized in the Modern Era. Dati kasi nung ancient times, ang nakakaalam lang niyan is mga elites and scholars hindi siya tinuturo sa general public. And it makes no sense to teach that to everyone like physics and chemistry and trigo and calculus. That should be taught to stem students only. Sa rest, reading, writing and basic arithmetic will already do. Di mo naman magagamit yan sa totoong buhay.
