his new sound is so warm. the ooz felt so cold and depressing and he mellowed out a bit with man alive but with his new stuff you could just feel the wisdom and sophistication he accumulated and how having a kid really changed him. so proud to have witnessed his growth

King krule might be abstract and a real indie musician but he is a true artist, his visuals are just great too in his videos
more than i progression i just see stylistic changes. i mean the ooz had a live version in the moon, it featured space and coldness and aloofness, maybe in a way that affected the record’s cohesiveness. man alive in the contrary feels immensely foggy and rooted on earth; the sonic textures make it seamlessly entrancing, and it deals with human, low life issues much more directly. this feels like a return to a warped dystopia, at least from the spacey effects and the cover art. hoping it turns out even better
In my opinion, Man Aive is the most depressing album, as cold as the spring wind and gloomy as the street in March.
I like how the dogs are a representation of him and his daughters innocent and happy bond, the lyrics are actually so beautiful
this that fatherhood. a great joy to see Krule evolve from a child himself, to speak from the vantage of someone who has a child of their own now.

Dogs to me represent pure positive energy. They exemplify living fully in the present moment which is something we all have access to, no matter how much negativity and contrast this world throws at us.
"This faith is all I have" speaks to the idea of staying true to source (or "pure positive") energy which is very fragile at first but becomes molded by our constant interactions with life experience over time.

It's crazy to think that this is the guy who made Out Getting Ribs. That was over 10 years ago, he was just a kid then. Ever since then he's made so much great stuff. His music sounds like no one else. Great track/video that makes you feel like you're in a different time and place. The dogs are beautiful as well, God bless them.

I havent listened to King Krule since Out Getting Ribs came out. the other day i eas in a cafe, heard this song and immediately knew it was King Krule deapite it being well over a decade since I last seriously listened to him. Glad to be a fan again.

i haven't listened to Krule in like 2 years. I remember bawling my eyes out to his music, calming weed panic attacks listening to his tiny desk. Now being in a better place this is very sentimental. Also a more upbeat instrumental, vibe is very fitting to my situation.

This is amazing, I think perhaps this is about fatherhood? Having a kid who’s “you” with your eyes, your face, your hair and everything that made them beautiful is scary because the world is full of crazy and mysterious things. You don’t want that kid to experience the worst that you had, rather you give them a full and kind life. The child becomes your faith, which sometimes is the only thing you have.
This was just a simple take on the song, but I absolutely love it. I have been playing non-stop since it released.
I think that it’s about fatherhood too, also you can see 2 dogs in the video, which in my opinion simbolize father and kid, amazing song and amazing artist..

It's so cool to see archy and the band playing songs in my city, on the same beach I've grown up going with my family. Really hits.
So true. I lived in Seaforth for a year and it's strange to hear this song and reflect on the grim streets on the way to the train station before escaping into Liverpool. Those memory feel quite haunting now knowing I've moved on and wouldn't want to go back. Yet somehow still feel nostalgic for the place.
