Kubota makes a fine tractor. I admire the Kubota product for the same reason that I admire our Kiotis: these two manufacturers are the only two major players that make all of their own stuff! No rebranding other tractors and calling it your own. One manufacturer of the tractor, including the engine, transmission, axles, everything. This control of the product production lends itself to a higher quality finished machine.

Very fair comparison. I have a Kubota L2501. Love it. I prefer the two pedal system. The seat is an upgrade on Kioti. No local dealer in my area. In the future I would consider a Kioti.

Bought a CK3510SE cab model with the loader and backhoe about 7 months ago. To be honest, this is my first tractor larger than a lawn tractor. No comparison, obviously. Moved to the country and needed something to pull about 300+ fence posts in concrete filled holes, and dig some trenches, move pallets from roadway up about 200 ft. of gravel driveway to outbuilding, etc. Only have about 65 hours on it, but have had zero problems, and am very impressed with everything so far. The loader (and forklift) capacity advantage over Kubota was huge for me. I would have had to gone to next size up Kubota to get similar weight capacity. I really think it is built heavier in some areas as well. One example is the diameter of the rams on the loader. Really didn't like the pedal on the Kubota at all. I spend a lot of time backing up, and, at least for me, it is pretty uncomfortable after a while. Both the loader and the backhoe remove and attach pretty easily, and access to the areas needed for maintenance is great. The AC and heat in the cab both rock. No problem in extreme temps for either of them. And, it was about 5 to 10% cheaper than the Kubota, and way cheaper than the green one. I know that resale would probably not be as good for Kioti, but I am planning on being burried in mine. Just not sure how they are going to fill in the hole if me and the tractor are in it. :-)

I’ve got the Kubota with the single pedal. You’re 100 percent right that after awhile your right leg gets tired from lifting up and down. Especially doing stuff like snow removal where there’s a lot of forward and back. It’s also quite awkward with big winter boots on. Been looking at getting the 3510 with cab for our Canadian winters.

I believe both equipment brands are very respectful made, though there are somethings I like to point out bout kioti offer internally over the Kubota and other brands #1 is the hydrostatic transmission is much much quieter in operating cold or hot temperature and maintain cooler internal temperature because of it and #2 all of the internal housing of diff. Transmission, engine block and front axle are electroplated sealed that helps fights moisture that causes internal failure due to parts rusting or lubricant contaminated. I'm sure at some point Kubota and other brands may be catching on to this oversight but as retired mechanic this has been a long issue for front 4x4 axles and transmission failures in the past! Kioti have my vote

Thom Miller All three machines, the Deere, the Kubota, and the Kioti are fine tractors that will serve you for decades. Knowing that none of these will be a disappointment from a quality standpoint, it’s now time to drive all three, compare specs, and most importantly gauge your impression of the Dealer. Buying a new tractor is a partnership of three entities: the owner, the manufacturer, and the dealer. As I said, all three manufacturers build a quality product, so be aware of the importance of your dealer. He or she must recognize that your satisfaction is above all else what really matters. from my observations about lift capacity is it seems like generally the kubota breakout force is greater then the similar kioti but kioti has a higher rated capacity. so it would appear that kioti just rates the loaders higher maybe just to beat competion

    • @LSE_TRACTOR
      @LSE_TRACTOR  Před 4 lety +2

That is simplistic and untrue. The Kioti weighs quite a bit more, and the hydraulic pump has a higher output, just to name two items. Lift capacities are rated at the "tipping point" of the tractor. That is literally the point that the tractor falls forward and a new pair of pants must be procured.

They were made in the early 1980's, and are generally regarded as very fine machines. Very simple machines. If it were a 2WD I would avoid it unless it were to be used just to cut grass. If it were a 4WD with a loader, I would certainly consider it. Please know that a 40 year old tractor will need some repairs. Hydraulic lines, lighting, glow plugs, etc. don't last forever.

This video confirms what I've felt about Kubotas, that they under-engineer their hydraulics. I have a 7320 and it is a beast for its size. Everything is beefier than what one finds on a comparable Kubota. Kubotas are good tractors, but I like the Kiotis WAY better. The same I will say for the new Deeres. A new JD equipped like my Kioti priced out at $139K. This Kioti was about $52K new, IIRC. That is a hell of a difference in cost and thus far the 7320 has been fantastic.

OuR Kubota 2004 L series gear 2800 has run great for 18 years 2000 hours. The loader/ lift power is rather low. The hydraulic pump is low flow compared to a new Kioti. Kubota's are much more expensive than Kiotis now. Looking at a 3510 0r 4010 Kioti . Kiotis come with quick attach as standard. I dont like the rear light placement on the Kioti up on the rollover bar . ALSo the fuel tank is in the open behind the driver. Kubotas is covered under the hood. Both dealers are 45 minutes away. I never took the Kubota in for service. Nothing ever broke. It coughed once and died because I had not changed the fuel filter as recommended at every 100 hours. I think it went to 120 that time. We used the tractor to load , scrape plow our 900 ft driveway, move rocks, gravel, brush, log some. , lifted 4x4 bales ok. I had a home made bale fork that bolted to the bucket, A chain worked good too, Always changed the fluids and filters myself. 2000 hours at $35. If you can hire at that rate means that the tractor has paid for itself 5+ times. To plow our driveways alone would be $70 per time. We average 12 storms per year. Who wants to wait for some goober to get around to you to plow? Not me Last year I was scraping/ plowing at 1.30.AM. We dont have a cab. and who cares? I Never Hayed. Kioti feedback would be greatly appreciated.

IMO There is one major point that needs to be addressed between the two. Kubota has their Top Link mount point on rear of trans case, That is the worse place for the top link to be mounted because all pulling force is on the rear of trans case when using a PTO winch so after 10 years of pto winching the trans case cracked on mine and the repair is to replace the trans case where 3000 gears are.......
And now noise is coming from trans case forward part when in 4 wheel drive, started while digging into a dirt bank, very disappointed in Kubota L3400.....

I been looking at the Kioti Cab CK3510SE. But, I have watched many videos and Kioti has had a a lot of small problems. You don't hear hardly anything bad on the Kubota. Kioti is a nice tractor and to me has the nicest Cab and yes it has options that Kubota but your paying for those Standards items on the kioti. I would love getting a Kioti but another big problem, the nearest dealer is over 200 miles form me when Kubota is only 30 miles. If and when you need service 200 miles is a big problem.

I own a Kubota L3901 and although its been a reliable tractor, I will probably consider the Kioti for my next tractor just because of bad designs that I've found with the Kubota. I don't like the rocker pedal. It's great going forward but reverse is a very awkward position. I don't like how I can only enter and exit the tractor from one side. The fuel tank is fairly difficult to fill if you're using fuel cans. I'm not exactly sure how the backhoe attachment is on the Kioti but I can tell you that it is a very piss poor design on the Kubota. I dread having to put it on and take it off. The seat is absolute garbage and the headlight/turn signal switch is in a location that gets hit by my knee very often and feels very flimsy.

The Kubota M7060 Cab (without loader) weighs 5380. This difference is largely due to the choices of using cast iron or aluminum.

If you are looking for a mowing machine, id look at the ck 2510 over the ck2610. The 2610 is a good bit heavier and going to be less maneuverable. If you got alot of long straightaways in your yard, i would think the 2610 would be just perfect with a rear finish mower. One of my friends has a Kubota B2650 that is more ck2610 sized with tires and length. Not quite as heavy, but he said it is a real pain to mow around trees and just isnt as maneuverable with the mid mount mower. He said as soon as he gets it paid off he is buying a zero turn, because it will do a better job for his type of lawn. I currently have a husqavarna 52 inch lawn tractor, and it works good, but it has its short comings and I have been considering moving to a kioti CS as it is only a little bigger and more robust, there are spots where the frame on my husqavarna flexes when i hit a sharp hill. To me personally i dont care for zero turns that much, because they are largely a one trick pony. They mow quick, but thats about it.

I'm also a 2610 owner and have gone crazy detangling model/attachment availability/compatibility. somewhere there is/was a video of a similar size daedong/kioti with a *front* mower, in Europe (prob Germany). Or maybe I'm nuts. The ck2810 is I think the euro version of the 2510 / ck20 and all them have a mid pto mower. The DK35 can have a mid pto to run a front snow blower, so I'm wondering why no mid pto for the 10 series. The CK30 / CT40/CK400 is very close to the 10 series and have mid pto. but also no available mid mowers. No way to link a mid pto lift to the existing rear control? the 2610 only has 21 pto hp, so maybe not even enough for 60"? Why get a 48" rear mower when riders will do 50?

2 pedal is far superior, and that’s one thing I’ve never liked about Kubota. Granted, I’ve never been on a kubota. But I have operated many other pieces of turf equipment with treadle pedals and yeah they’re fine if your mowing at a reasonable speed, but if you’re going to be going between forward and reverse (as with doing loader work) it’s just really odd. I’m a John Deere person myself. We have a shuttle shift at work which has a loader on it, and frankly, it’s a pain in the ass. Would rather have a 2 pedal system. I’ve always been curious to try a kubota, not necessarily in terms of looking to purchase one, just to get a feel for them.
Also I don’t like the loader mounted joystick. Again, comparing it to the equipment at work, we had a massey Ferguson backhoe with a loader mounted joystick but the way it was operated was different. Instead of moving your whole forearm to the side to actuate you dump cylinders, you just turned your wrist in either direction. Kinda hard to explain but it was a good system.
I have no idea what I’m talking about. Carry on

I had to point out at the end of your comparison that you got the lift weight at the 3-point hitch wrong: the Kubota L3301 is 1433 lbs., that was right. But the Kioti 3510 was less than the Kubota, at 1361 lbs., not 1631, as you stated. The numbers were transposed, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on that one. But the Kubota's rear lift capacity is higher than the Kioti's.
One other thing: I'm bothered that the loader hydraulics are somewhat exposed on the outside of the Kioti's loader, while the Kubota's are protected by the loader arm. A smack from a sturdy tree branch on the Kioti's right side could cause some significant repair costs, in my opinion.

I purchased a Mahindra. I like it as it has better performance specs and weight. The cost was significantly less. The warranty was the biggest selling point and as it turns out it is basically void if you use it to earn a living, Duh what do they think we do with these tractors- cut our grass. I have a dealership that does not report my use of the unit as money maker, so they file the few problems as warranty. There is one problem with the design and that is the rocker selector for the travel. It is exhausting to the right leg especially in reverse. So if you are looking for a tractor to use in business then do not chose Mahindra. If you will be grading stay away from a rocker selector no matter the brand, and as for the hst: it is over ratted especially for the difference in price, the shuttle shift actually can keep up with a hst unit and has more drive power. Good luck with your choice.

Your Lift of 1131 for the Kubota is 500mm ahead of pivot pins (center bucket....the 1800lbs+ that you boast about in the kioti is at the pivot pin....lift should be measured center bucket because thats where the load is....just saying.

Ryan McCaslin hmmmmm, curious. By all means, simply send the information to mike@larrysellstractors.com. I’d be interested in seeing it. Especially the Yanmar. Oops, I mean the Deere.

Forsure, Deere’s last yanmar built tractor was the 2 series 2 years ago. All others are John Deere built. When folks ask me about kioti I say you mean Daedong 😬😬😬. But I will follow up happy selling sir!

Depends on how you accessorize it. Tractor, Tractor/Loader, or Tractor/Loader/Backhoe? You can also add a linked Pedal, Cruise Control, a Cab, extra lighting, flashers, lots of options, depending on what you want or need

I have a Kubota L2501. I think that both of these machines are great machines and owners will be more than happy with either. I lo ve the fuel tank mounted in the rear of the Kyoto. Trying to fill the Kubota with the loader on it is a bit troublesome. Overall, a good comparison. I went with Kubota over John Deere because I felt that the build quality was better with the Kubota. The Kubota won out over Kioti and Mahindra because of the dealership network and parts availability. I think that if someone is really set on the Kyoto, they will be happy. They appear to be very nice machines. I wouldn't mind having one.

Kioti tractors are Korean and are much like Kia / Hyundai automobiles...they keep improving and getting better but in the end you’re still driving a Kia.

I guess Tyler’s mom made him get off of the internet.
Folks, Kioti’s Korean heritage (75 years, BTW) puts them amongst such respected companies as the Hyundai/Kia Group (they are one company), LG, Samsung, Hankook Tire, Doosan Heavy Equipment, and on and on. Here is some noteworthy info:
Korea has the highest number of patents per GDP, has the world’s highest R&D dollars spent per GDP, and was the first country on the planet to fully transition to high speed internet nationwide.
Having been to Korea, allow me to tell you what really struck me; they like us. One of the very few countries in the world that the citizens don’t hate Americans. They remember the sacrifices we made in the early 1950’s, and will speak about American soldiers and Marines with reverence. Compare that to a country like France, where the blood left on the beaches was so quickly forgotten.
