    I think you may have brought me back to Islam. One for many years, under Shariah, in a heart-breakingly hypocritical court case, based on a lie from the Shariah Judge himself, I was both lost to Islam and Islam to me. You and Rumi, your words, interpretation, you bud my winter limbs with blossom, you fill my dreams with fragrance, both soothing the agitation, staunching the wounds of betrayal, you set me turning, turning, singing, 'you have freed me to love, again.'

    A Sufi sees his own existence as a particle of dust, only made visible in a ray of sunlight, neither real nor unreal.
    When you are introduced to Sufism, you will become as humble as a particle of dust.

    I'm a Muslim, but I've developed a seeking nature, and I too looked into Eastern traditions more specifically into tibet and the Himalayan masters as well as daoist and Zen teachings. I resonated with a lot of the teachings as it made me more aware of myself and how I interacted with myself and Dunya. I feel like traditional islam kind of restricts looking deeper into your subconscious and connection into the ultimate reality. I've recently got into sufism, and I feel like it's my way back and showing me to build on my spiritual foundation in order to establish a deeper connection. A lot of spiritual teachings seem shunned upon due to a lot of it involving idol worship understandably. Anything outside hadith and Quran seems null and void. I'm torn between being a seeker and a believer. I honestly feel like all spiritual teachings are different streams flowing back to the same source. Even sufis, some Muslims don't even consider them to be Muslims, just madmen saying it's deveating from Allah, but I feel it's quite the opposite.

    The great Sufi and brilliant poet Yunus Emre was a judge in 1268 he was not a shepherd. He studied at the Karatay School in Konya where he was trained for many many years in Shariaa laws and all Islamik studies and Hadeeth and more, much more... He also become fluent in Arabic, Persian and obviously Turkish. After becoming a judge in Nalihan he met his Teacher Tabtouk Emre and followed the Path and became a Sufi Dervish. He was never illiterate, he was a highly educated and accomplished person at that time, and he chose to leave all that behind him to follow The Path of Hakk🙏✨

  • @movme

    Thank you, dear Kabir. Your explanations always provide clear and practical inspiration and guidance, and your presence exemplifies that of which you speak.
    A realization I arrived at in my journey is that Love flows ubiquitously throughout the Universe. It is up to us to open our hearts and minds to actively participate in this flow of Love. We can direct this flow and we can concentrate it wherever it is needed, similar to the way a lens can direct and concentrate the light of the Sun to produce a localized spot of brightness and heat. We can do this with the direction and purity of our intention and our attention, and we can manifest this transmitted Love in whatever form it is most needed in any particular situation.
    This Love does not come *from* us, but rather *through* us, which means that there is no limit to how much Love we can "give" because the supply from Source is limitless. And the more Love we "give" - transmit by allowing it to flow freely through the heart - the more Love we, ourselves, will incidentally experience. People often say "my heart is so full," yet that suggests the heart is a vessel or reservoir for containing or holding Love when it is actually designed to be open to a constant flow of Love.
    The knowing and understanding of the heart discerns where Love is needed and what form it can best be manifested in - and there are countless ways in which Love can be manifested. The mind, functioning in service to the heart, fulfills its role by figuring out the most practical means for manifesting this flow of Love here in this material realm we live in.
    Just as light can manifest as either a flow of particles (photons) or as a flow of energy waves (electromagnetic radiation) and it can exert force, Love can manifest as a flow of energy or as a manifestation of substance/matter, and it can exert force. Love force can attract and draw entities together, it can unite entities and bind entities together in oneness, and it can also loosen and free entities. As such, Love can manifest as weak and strong nuclear forces, gravity, magnetism, electromagnetism, electrostatic force, romantic attraction and bonding, sexual attraction and bonding, platonic attraction and bonding, cooperative bonding, and any other forces of attraction and bonding.
    And we humans have the potential to embrace and consciously participate in and experience this ubiquitous flow of Love throughout the Universe!

    This is what Rumi says about his poetry;
    My Poetry is like an Egyptian bread
    The night passes, and you can not eat it
    Eat it while it is fresh before the dust settles.
    Like a fish, it flops a moment on a dry ground
    But a while later, it seems lifeless.
    If you eat it, imagine it to be fresh,
    You may have to paint fantastic images.

    We Muslims believe we are from God. The unity that is present in the universe is one of the myths of Islam. The unity with God and all beings. As Rumi says we unconsciously knew about this unity, but when we came to this life we forget all these connections.
    Sufism is a short cut to rediscover this unity. You know the most important ideas of him can be found in the first poesie of Masnavi Rumi.
    "Listen to the reed-flute(a musical instrument), how it complains,
    Lamenting its banishment from its home:
    Ever since they tore me from my home
    My moans and wails have moved men and women to tears.
    My heart is torn apart because of separation
    to express the pangs of my yearning for my home.
    He who abides far away from his home
    Is ever longing for the day how shall return."

    What a masterfull presentation about the of the root of Sufi thought. Sufi is compiicated...no doubt about it but Sufi thought translates or drives a lot of practical behaviors. The Sufi law of three is essentially distaseful but when subject to examination by Sufi thought it becomes super valid. The law of three attaches equal value to activating, restraining and reconciling forces. Democracy is based on balancing these three forces. The trinity in Christianity is likely based on Sufi thought.

    The heart is,a muscle that pumps blood. It doesnt think n reflect or feel. Consciousness permeates thoughts feelings reflections, permeates the body the universe. It is love.

    • @movme
      @movme Před 6 měsíci

      The heart that Kabir speaks of is not the physical heart that pumps blood through the body. Kabir speaks of the energetic or spiritual heart. The pumping heart is at the locus of the spiritual heart, and together the produce an electromagnetic field that is much stronger than the electromagnetic field that is produced by the brain. This electromagnetic field is not limited to the physical heart or even to the confines of the physical body, but rather extends far beyond to intermingle and communicate with the fields of all other hearts and with all and everything.
      There is a physical consciousness that we experience in our life. There is also an energetic or spiritual consciousness that the heart experiences, whether or not our physical consciousness is aware of this, conscious of this. One aspect of the spiritual journey, of spiritual development, is to develop an awareness of this energetic or spiritual consciousness and an ability to 'listen' to what the heart has to tell us, what inspiration, guidance, knowledge, understanding, wisdom and clarity the heart can provide for us, for our mind to work with, in service to the heart. And, the heart is actually the source and recipient of true feelings that the mind then interprets, provided, of course, one has sufficiently developed access to the knowing and feeling of the heart.
